Chapter 9 - A new adventure cap 9

But finding magic on the internet isn't Wong's only hobby. He also searches for magic instructions that could endanger someone, so Wong rushes to solve the problem.

With a divination spell, Wong could divine the origin of the dangerous post and travel with his wave ring to solve the problem.

If Wong can't solve the problem, he could ask other sorcerers at the shrine for help.

As he closes one of the books in the library, Wong places it on the small shelf in his room.

Since he's finished reading it, he'll return the book tomorrow and get another one.

Grabbing his laptop, Wong logged into the forum he frequents to check out new posts.

But before that, he checked the messages he's received since yesterday.

Although Wong only goes online and checks the forum some nights, he has become somewhat well-known on the forum and frequently receives many messages.

Quickly flipping through the messages and taking his time to respond to some, Wong stopped at one message in particular.

Checking again to make sure what he read, Wong quickly checked that the link wasn't a scam, after being sure, he clicked on the link within the message and waited for the pop-up page to load.

When the page loaded, Wong quickly reviewed it and confirmed that the message he received was true.

The page the link in the message led to had several images that were scanned from old books.

Since the number of images is too much to review one by one, Wong looked for the book that mentions the message by name and found it.

Upon seeing the first images, it became clear to Wong that the book was real, and he downloaded it to review it himself.

The download took 20 minutes, and while it was downloading, Wong reviewed the rest of the images.

Getting up, Wong left the room with his personal computer in hand, but only a few moments later he returned to pick up the book he was going to return to the library tomorrow.

After all, he's heading there right now.

The Ancient One was the latest in a long line of Sorcerers Supreme who had defended Earth from mystical threats for millennia. No one except her knew her exact age, and she never spoke of her own past, though she did reveal that she was of Celtic descent.

In addition to her responsibilities as a mystical defender of the Earth, the Ancient One has also dedicated herself to helping others in need, especially those who were paralyzed, bereaved by the loss of loved ones, or suffering from ailments thought to be incurable.

Whether by coincidence, luck, or her own intentions, if they managed to reach Kamar-Taj, she would instruct them in the arts of sorcery, which in turn could cure them of their supposedly incurable ailments or allow them to find inner peace, as well as develop a better understanding of natural laws.

Examples of such individuals would be Jonathan Pangborn, who was cured of his paralysis through magic, and Karl Mordo, who was given the power to defeat his demons and live within natural law.

The Ancient One was the Sorcerer Supreme, as well as the leader of the Masters of the Mystic Arts. For centuries, the Ancient One protected the Earth from mystical threats and dedicated himself to helping those in need by educating them in the magical arts to give them new hope.

Protecting the earth from mystical threats and helping others is a difficult and arduous task.

But thanks to the Eye of Agamotto, Ancient has been able to do so without many problems for so many years.

The Eye of Agamotto is a powerful relic created by Agamotto, the first Sorcerer Supreme, as a containment device for the Time Stone.

The Eye has been protected by the Masters of the Mystic Arts for generations.

The Eye was created by Agamotto as a containment device for the Time Stone, allowing him and his successors to use the stone's power without suffering the adverse effects of touching an Infinity Stone.

As the container for the Time Stone, the Eye of Agamotto allows its wielder to harness the power of the Infinity Stone without having to physically touch it. The eye itself is usually sealed and must be opened through sorcery to access the stone.

Eldritch magic is one of the ways to harness the power of the stone to use it in the form of time manipulation spells.

Powered by its Infinity Stone, the Eye of Agamotto has tremendous time-based powers, capable of controlling the flow of time on a small or massive scale.

On a smaller scale, the time stone allows the user to return something to its previous state or accelerate its time to apply changes that have not yet occurred.

On a grand scale, the stone can rewind time to undo entire events, even to the point of bringing the dead back to life, going back to a point before their death. If the user is interrupted while rewinding time, time freezes until the user resumes the spell.

The Ancient One can use the Eye of Agamotto to look through time to a certain extent and gain a degree of awareness of possible futures, but not everyone who has the Eye of Agamotto can do so.

The Eye of Agamotto can only be used to grant a sorcerer a degree of clairvoyance if that sorcerer has the necessary knowledge.

The Eye of Agamotto can also be used to set a time loop, resetting its state and repeating an event infinitely until the bearer stops the process.

It is because of the stone inside the Eye of Agamotto that the Ancient One's clairvoyance abilities are so good.

They could even be called unsurpassed in this world.

He has long earned a reputation for always knowing what's going to happen.

That fame isn't false, which is why Ancient One was caught off guard when the librarian in charge of protecting Kamar-Taj's library arrived with news of having found a long-lost book that explained the emergence of magical abilities in a group of people in an ancient civilization and recounted all their adventures.

Knowing that he can't always be looking at possible futures, it's been a while since he used the Eye of Agamotto for that purpose.

'This… This is the same book.' Ancestral took the book carefully and with just a wave of his hands, the book flew into the air.

With the movement of his eyes, Ancestral turned the pages of the book and quickly reviewed its contents.

"Disciple Wong found this book in an unusual way…."

As Ancestral reviewed the contents of the book, the librarian explained how Wong found this ancient book.

'something changed…' This was Ancestral's thought.

With the contents of the book and the way Wong found it according to the librarian, Ancestral was sure that the future changed.

And it wasn't a small change.

It was a big change.

The discovery of this book did not bother the Ancestral at all.

After all, this book only tells the story of events from many years ago, about a group who discover their magical abilities and have adventures.

Although he mentions some useful spells this group learned during their adventures, they are not dangerous.

Moreover, it adds some information to what is already known about what happened in those times in the mundane and mystical world.

The book isn't dangerous to anyone, so Ancestral has no problem with the book being found.

But Ancestral is worried about the change it may bring in the future.

Ancestral's thinking is that this book is destined to be found many years later.

In many futures that the Ancient One saw thanks to the help of the Eye of Agamotto, Wong is the one who finds this book during his time on the Internet.

In others, they were other disciples or even apprentices who just joined kamar-taj to learn Mystic skills.

After all, even if they dress like monks, it doesn't mean they are isolated from the world.

Many disciples and apprentices frequently visit the Internet.

So it is not uncommon for Kamar-taj's disciples and apprentices to find information about magic on the Internet.

Returning to his visions of the future, the futures that the Ancient One can see thanks to the Eye of Agamotto, which protects within it one of the 6 Infinity Stones, the Time Stone; are countless.

One could even say that Ancestral could see millions of possible futures for a single event.

That's why the Ancient One doesn't act on what he sees of the future thanks to the Eye of Agamotto.
