Chapter 18 - Heading to Erantel

In the cloakroom, Sig was picking inconspicuous armor; he was going to play the role of the Young Lady's escort knight, so he couldn't be too flashy.

Because of the sheer quantity, he searched for a long time before finding a light armor, very low-key in style and an unremarkable black iron color.

Next, he just needed to find the lining, the most ordinary kind.

Opening the wardrobe door where clothes were stored, thousands of fashion items dazzled the eyes, and Sig began to regret why he had collected so many.

He looked at the other person in the room, "Yuri, could I ask for your help?"

"It would be my honor."

The battle maid Yuri adjusted her glasses and stepped forward to take over the organizing work, picking out clothes suitable for going out in just a few minutes.

During this time, she didn't forget to check if the necklace around her neck was secure, straightening her head a bit.

As a Dullahan and a zombie, Yuri's head could be removed, so to avoid making a fool of herself in front of the Supreme Beings, it was best to check.

The butler Sebas was responsible for Ainz's security escort, while daily service would be handled by Nabe, the third daughter of the battle maids, and Sig had always been accompanied by Yuri.

As fellow Supreme Beings, this was the most reasonable distribution they could think of, gradually becoming an unspoken rule.

"Thanks to you, Yuri." Sig let out a long breath, a huge problem solved.

Yuri smiled, "Lord Sig, you overstate it; this is my duty."

"I'll entrust my sister Solution to you."

Solution Epsilon, also the third daughter of the Seven Sisters, was fifth in name order, but that was just for convenience.

Her true form was an amorphous slime, and she enjoyed watching humans slowly melt within her; in a way, she could be said to be quite fond of humans.

Unlike the upright Yuri, Solution had a Justice value of -400, belonging to the evil type.

It was natural for an elder sister to worry about her younger sister, and Sig naturally agreed readily. Even though he retained part of his humanity, he was primarily loyal to Nazarick.

Being part of the evil faction, some things could not be scrutinized too deeply. If one wished to stand with the human faction, leaving Nazarick would be the only option.

Since he knew the plot's direction, Sig had already built himself up; he possessed this level of psychological fortitude.

A knock came from the door.

"Lord Sig, are you ready to depart?" Sebas asked politely.

Sig, dressed with Yuri's undeniable help, responded, "Sebas, I'm ready. Bring Solution in."

"Yes."

Sebas was still wearing his original clothes; he was a butler by nature, and now he was playing a butler, truly a perfect fit.

Solution had already changed into a dress, her long, curly golden hair complementing it perfectly. At first glance, she looked entirely like a noble young lady.

Perhaps because the dress was too ordinary, the maid outfit seemed to suit her better.

This made one marvel at the designer's cleverness. Herohero, so this is the kind of person you are.

"Lord Sig, I still think a maid suits my status better."

Having a Supreme Being act as her bodyguard felt completely out of place to Solution.

"Haven't we already discussed this? I'm not confident in playing a young master well. If I expose us, wouldn't that be putting the cart before the horse?" Sig said with a smile.

The original plan was for Sebas to be the butler, Solution to remain a maid, and Sig to play the young master they served.

But this proposal did not pass.

On one hand, Sig wasn't that confident in his acting skills. Solution's acting was comparable to an actress, so entrusting it to her was more reassuring.

On the other hand, Sig still harbored thoughts of being lazy. Playing a pampered young master was far less simple than being a silent knight, which was his true calling.

Actually, Sig could have done it if he really wanted to; his acting might even be better than Solution's, but that would be less interesting, as he wouldn't get to see everyone's awkward expressions.

"Please don't say that, Lord Sig will not make mistakes," Solution said hastily.

"Precisely."

Sebas and Yuri also nodded in agreement.

The idea that Supreme Beings cannot make mistakes was deeply ingrained in their minds.

"Everyone makes mistakes, and I am no exception. It is precisely because of this that your existence is especially precious, accompanying us in place of our departed comrades."

Who 'us' referred to was self-evident. Although the words were very ordinary, tears welled up in everyone's eyes.

"We will definitely offer our loyalty to Nazarick, to the Supreme Beings!"

The current fervent atmosphere was something Sig hadn't anticipated but wasn't entirely unexpected.

"Continue to be loyal."

"Yes!"

Again, a perfectly uniform response.

Sig felt this must be a lingering effect of Ainz's meetings; everyone was still in an excited state, otherwise, why would they be so easily ignited?

...

Not far from Nazarick, Sebas had already prepared the carriage.

To cover their tracks, they would hire another coachman, preferably someone likely to cause trouble, but until then, Sebas would handle it.

Although Sig stated that as a cavalryman, he also possessed the ability to drive horses, Sebas refused to back down, and Solution held the same attitude.

"This is only natural. How could Lord Sig perform the work of a coachman?" Albedo, who had entered the room, bowed respectfully.

Sig looked up, thinking she must be there to see them off, but still asked, "Albedo, why have you come?"

"Lord Sig, I have come to bid you farewell. Please be sure to pay attention to your safety while outside."

Albedo turned and said in a commanding tone, "Sebas, I entrust Lord Sig's safety to you."

Sebas did not feel displeased by this; it was normal behavior for the Guardian Overseer. He replied decisively, "Yes!"

"Albedo, there's no need to worry too much."

Sig felt that just saying that would be too cold, so he quickly added, "If you are truly worried, I permit you to use messages to contact me, even if it's not about mission-related matters."

"Yes, I understand." Albedo nodded, appearing to show little emotional fluctuation.

Seeing her trembling body, he knew she was restraining herself very well.

"Take care of yourself."

Sig didn't expect Albedo to change her nature suddenly, so he quickly teleported away with Sebas and the others.

As for that strange shout, it must have been an illusion, certainly not Albedo's voice.

"Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic!"

"Lord Albedo, please calm down!"

A metallic tail emerged from around the corner, and the demon revealed himself, seemingly not just passing by, but as if he had been eavesdropping for a long time.

Hearing the shouts from inside the room, Demiurge showed a meaningful smile.

"Lord Sig shouldn't mind..."
