Shells Town had never been this quiet.
The square where Morgan once paraded his power now lay littered with shattered rifles and broken chains. The Marines who had terrorized the townsfolk groaned in pain, their arrogance stripped bare. For the first time in years, the civilians stood without fear, their eyes wide, their voices low but alive.
"Did you see that boy?"a woman whispered, clutching her child close.
"Three of them… no, four. That pink-haired one too."
"That silver-haired man—did you feel it? The air itself bent under his will…"
Whispers spread like wildfire. Tales were already forming. The White Fang. The Pirate Hunter. The boy in the straw hat. And the trembling youth who spoke of justice.
Among the crowd, Koby stood straighter than he ever had before. His legs still shook, but his fists were clenched, his eyes clear. I will become a true Marine. Not like them. Not like Morgan. I swear it.
He watched the three figures walk away, their backs broad against the sunlight. For a moment, he felt the weight of something greater pressing against his heart like the weight of destiny itself.
The harbor smelled of salt and tar. A small boat creaked against the waves, hardly suited for grandeur, but it was freedom nonetheless.
Luffy bounded aboard, grin as wide as the horizon. "All right! First crew, check! First swordsman, check!" He threw both arms high. "Now the real adventure begins!"
Zoro smirked, dropping his swords beside him as he sat back. "Hmph. Just don't get us killed too quickly."
Magnus stepped onto the deck last. His silver hair caught the dying light, his cold eyes scanning the sea that stretched endlessly before them. For the first time since his reincarnation, he felt the story truly moving as the world of One Piece had begun, and he was no longer a bystander.
He stood at the stern, arms folded, watching the waves crash. This sea… it's not the one I left behind on Earth. This is a world where legends rise and fall. And I will carve my place among them.
Luffy leaned against the mast, looking at Magnus with that ever-unshaken grin. "Oi, White Fang. You're coming too, right?"
Magnus's gaze flicked toward him. The boy's smile was simple, naïve even, but in it burned an unshakable will. For the faintest moment, Magnus almost smirked.
"…For now."
"Shishishishi!" Luffy laughed, as if that answer was the most natural thing in the world.
The sails caught the wind. The little boat turned toward the open horizon. Behind them, Shells Town shrank into memory as whispers of fear and hope carried on the sea breeze.
Ahead of them lay an ocean without end.
Three figures stood at the dawn of their journey. And one boy, left behind on the dock, clenched his fists and whispered into the wind:
"I'll meet you out there. Someday."
