The three pirates staggered and disoriented, trying to recover from the sudden chaos.
One scrambled to grab his cutlass, but Luffy was already in motion. He stretched his arms wide and swung a massive punch that sent the first pirate tumbling backward into a pile of barrels. The sound of splintering wood echoed through the narrow street.
Zoro moved silently, calculating each pirate's balance and position he stepped forward at the perfect moment, slamming a fist into the second pirate's chest and knocking him off his feet. The man landed hard on the cobblestones, groaning in pain as Zoro didn't even need to touch him again to keep him pinned in place with an intimidating presence.
Above them, Nami's orange hair flashed like a signal. She leapt from roof to roof with incredible precision with bags clutched to her chest. One pirate swung wildly at her, but she twisted midair and landed safely on a lower ledge. Her eyes darted across the streets, plotting the fastest route back to her hideout while avoiding the attention of any more pirates.
Magnus followed quietly, moving alongside Luffy and Zoro without interfering. He didn't need to fight yet. His eyes tracked every motion, every opportunity and every pattern.
He noted the positions of the pirates, the way Nami used the environment to her advantage and the gaps Luffy and Zoro created in the enemy line. He could see the battle forming, the rhythm of attack and retreat, and he could sense exactly when and where it might escalate.
One of the pirates now furious swung his cutlass recklessly. Luffy ducked under the swing and delivered a sharp strike with his leg sending the pirate sprawling into a stack of crates.Nami landed beside him mid-leap, snatching one of the stolen sacks from his hands as she spun away with agile
disappearing back toward the rooftops.
"CATCH HER, FOOLS!" one pirate yelled, trying to rally the others. The remaining pirates charged, but they moved hesitantly, unsure of what had just happened. Magnus stayed back observing waiting for the right moment to intervene if the need arose. He didn't act rashly; he knew the fight's flow, the way Luffy and Zoro handled pressure, and he trusted their instincts.
Luffy laughed, wide and unafraid. "DON'T LET HER GET AWAY!" he shouted, charging forward to block one of the pirates' paths. Zoro mirrored him, stepping into another opening to intercept a strike. Together, the two of them created a chaotic but controlled field, herding the pirates unwittingly in the direction Nami needed.
The orange-haired girl leapt down one final time, landing nimbly on the ground near the plaza. She dropped the heavy sack behind a barrel and glanced around for her pursuers. The pirates hesitated unsure of their next move and in that moment Magnus and the others had already positioned themselves to maintain control.
One pirate, braver or more foolish than the rest, charged toward Nami. Luffy's fist shot forward like a cannonball striking him squarely and sending him sprawling across the cobblestones. Zoro stepped up to block another his calm presence enough to make the pirate hesitate before swinging again.
Nami retrieved her bag safely and began moving quickly toward the edge of the town, taking advantage of the confusion and her knowledge of the rooftops. Luffy, laughing as he ran alongside her, called out, "That's right! Keep going! We'll back you up!" Zoro followed silently, calm and measured as ever.
The last of Buggy's pirates scrambled to regroup, shouting in frustration. Magnus's eyes caught the banner swaying above them, the red-nosed clown face mocking the street below. He took in the scene as a whole with the empty town the chaos and the careful movements of their group realized that despite the initial silence Orange Town was no longer under Buggy's complete control.
The sunlight reflected off the rooftops, casting long shadows across the plaza.
Nami safe for the moment as she glanced back once her expression a mix of relief and determination.
Luffy waved enthusiastically, Zoro gave a small nod, and Magnus allowed the corner of his mouth to twitch upward ever so slightly.
