"What?! The mana replenishing potion costs 4 standard-grade aura crystals?! I can't even afford that, even if I hunt like 10 average reapers! Wait, speaking of reapers, I didn't get a reward for killing that specific one." Aiden thought to himself, stroking his chin.
He starts walking towards the huge crater that was made by Aiden's ability.
No one was in sight.
"Hmm? Where did he go?" Aiden mumbles, searching for the defeated foe.
"There he is!"
He runs towards a skull, one that is almost split in half.
He picks it up, but strangely, he doesn't sense any dark aura from it.
"Oh, I don't think this is the right one, ewwww!" He drops it on the ground, disgusted to have picked up a fellow human's skull.
"How am I going to find this sneaky bastard?! I'm getting impatient." Aiden starts to get impatient, thinking of burning this whole place to a crisp.
"You know what? If you don't come out, I'll explode this whole crater once again, and I'll keep doing it until I'm sure that you're dead!" He shouted, his voice calm and sturdy.
"Wait, wait, I'm here! Please don't kill me!" A voice came from inside the rubble.
"Oho, look what we have here, the person who attempted to kill me just a minute ago is begging for his life! Now, can you speak again so I can pinpoint your exact location?" Aiden said, mocking his defeated foe.
"I'm here! I'm here!" The former captain repeated his words, trembling with each character.
In an instant.
Aiden shoves his hand through the rubble and pulls out a certain skull.
"Please don't kill me!" The skull spoke; it held the same voice as the traitor.
"Such a pathetic state you're in, now, now, give me three reasons why I should spare you?" Aiden smirks confidently, tightly gripping the skull.
"Three reasons? Ah, ah, I-i saved you earlier! I also was of great help to the kingdom!" The skull trembled under Aiden's gaze.
"But that's only two reasons, though? You know what, you've wasted my time now, how about 4 REASONS!" Aiden shouted at the top of his lungs straight into the traitor's left ear.
"That hurts! But, 4 reasons?! That's not fair!" The skull grumbles, shaking out of fear.
"Listen here, I am the one who makes the rules here, you're in no state to question my authority. Do you hear me? DO YOU HEAR ME?!" Aiden deliberately shouted once again, aiming to traumatize the poor skull.
"Ah-h, yes! The 3r-d reason is… I cared for you when you were a baby! I also protected your sibling from incoming threats!" The skull scrambled to pull anything from his brain that didn't exist.
"Tch, tch. Caring for me, protecting my siblings, too bad I don't remember that, you've disappointed me, and I shall eliminate you once and for all." Aiden muttered under his breath, glaring daggers into the traitor's soul.
"But, but-" The skull started, only to get cut off by Aiden.
"Ah, ah, ah," he said, pressing a finger against his bony mouth.
CRACK!
Shards made out of bone fell on the hard ground littered with broken swords and corpses.
Aiden was still holding the skull, at least what remained of it, its forehead.
"I wasn't even going to spare you, even if you dropped down and kissed my shoe." Aiden mumbles sarcastically, putting his right arm on his waist."
