'Well, that beast is called a Dark beast. They started appearing just months ago and there is rumor that they are mutated beasts and they came from the mines. They kill anything in sight and whenever they die they leave a bead which can be used for cultivation.' Desker was looking at Wesley's eyes as he spoke. He wanted to gauge Wesley from his facial expressions.
'What happened to the city since the day he was blown away by the elemental storm for there to be such a drastic change.' he pondered to himself.
Wesley attributed the change and the appearance of the mutated beasts to the spiritual aura of the heavenly soil.
He could actually feel a heavy spiritual aura in the atmosphere that made feel uncomfortable.
'I have to hurry up and unseal my bloodline.'
He cupped his hands and asked Desker.
'Brothers, do not worry. I wont fight with you for the bead, I just need you to answer a question for me.' He appeased them when he saw their vigilant looks. Wesley understood a critical point, they thought he would fight them for the bead but what he needed right now was not a training resource but a training manual in the life element.
'Is there any faction that I can join. It has been a dream of mine to start training.'
The three warriors were shocked by the question and looked at Wesley skeptically.
'May I ask, how old you are and are sure you have never trained before?' Desker asked in a confusing tone.
Wesley paused a bit and answered.
'I am sixteen years and I have never trained before."
Desker and the other two were flabbergasted. This burly man who looked like a early twenty year old was just sixteen, they could not believe it.
'So if you have never trained, where did you learn to fight?' Desker asked incredulously.
'I was born with divine power, I have a lot of strength in me and for the fighting, I have always been fighting beasts.' Wesley continued lying. He only hoped that they would believe him.
Desker went quiet for a bit.
'He probably has a power bloodline' he thought.
He nodded to Dirk and pointed to the bead. Without questioning Desker, he just walked toward the bead, picked it up and put it in a leather looking pouch. Wesley did not show any sign that he wanted the bead. This made Desker see Wesley in a positive light.
'Hmm, you can join the city guards. We three brothers also belong to the city guards faction. They started recruiting more guards to match the rapid increase in number of these beasts.'
'If you join, they provide an entry technique for free and a place to stay but you will need to buy the training resources yourself. The bead you saw can be sold to the Seeker organization for credits but you can also trade with other warriors. With your strength, they would be fools to turn you away. If you are willing, I can introduce you to the captain of the first division of the Eastern Gate. He is in charge of recruiting new guards.' Desker explained slowly.
'I will be grateful if you can make it happen, I owe you a favor for this brother.' Wesley agreed to the proposition but he was slightly shocked inside. He expected to be near the Southern Gate but he realized that the storm had blown him almost to the vicinity of the Eastern Gate. He was green on the organization that Desker had mentioned and wondered whether Grog belonged to it.
Dseker nodded to the other two and started moving. They still walked in a triangular formation while staying vigilant.
'Mr, Desker, if you don't mind me asking, which level are you at?' Wesley asked in humble manner.
'Haaahaaaa. You can stop calling me Mr. You can just call me Desker or First like the rest" Desker barked out in laughter.
'I will be shameless and call you First. Sorry for the offence' Wesley added on
'Where should I start, for the warrior levels I know, it is divided into six levels
The first level, body refining
The second level, spiritual sensing,
The third, spiritual lake formation
The fourth, spiritual core formation
The fifth, pattern formation
The sixth, star formation.
'We three brothers are in the first level and I only know what to do in the body refining level. The rest I do not know.'
'The body refining level entails you to refine the body from the outside to the inside from the skin, blood, tendons, bones and organs. We take in the spiritual aura around us and first refine the skin. The spiritual aura tempers the skin so that normal weapons can't cut you. Your skin becomes invulnerable to normal weapons. This only applies to normal weapons but for graded weapons that is a s different case altogether.'
The next stage is refining the blood where the blood in your body has to be infused with the spiritual aura, then we have the tendon refining where you refine you tendons to be hard but supple.'
'The next stage is to temper the bones with spiritual aura to be as hard as mortal grade weapons and the last stage is the most important, refining the organs of the body to be strong enough to avoid being easily damaged.'
'I am at the bone tempering stage as are my brothers.' Desker proudly said.
And as Wesley was pondering over the different stages of cultivation and how they differed from the starry body technique, he saw the mounting gates of the Eastern gate.
They had arrived.
