Chapter 19 - NEW FINDINGS

In a room surrounded by glass windows, a graceful young beautiful woman was seated at stone table. She had black hair cascading down on to the back of her shoulders, with blue eyes so pure they exuded innocence and her skin was so fair and white with no blemish.

On the opposite side of the table sat Brune, the city lord.

'Where is he Lord Brune?' the woman asked Brune in a cold tone that brooked serious consequences if Brune did not have a positive answer for her.

Brune took a few seconds to actually get what the woman was asking. Her voice was so mesmerizing it bordered on a spell technique. A person would lose themselves if they listened to her for a long time.

'What, who?' he asked the woman hesitantly. Oh he knew what the woman was talking about, he just hoped she had come later.

'After all this time, why now? ' he kept on asking himself in his mind. They had never asked or minded about the boy but now here was someone asking about him.

When the woman heard his question, her face became colder and a frigid voice barraged him.

'Brune, do not take me for a fool, you know exactly what and who I am asking about. His mother and father left him with you before she died and for all that is worth, I wouldn't care if he never appeared but now everything is up in the air. It is only you and I who knew of his existence but now the old man wants to see him, he should be around thirteen years now I think.'

Brune's heart shuddered for a bit, this was the worst scenario he ever wanted. He kept on asking himself whether the woman had told that dreadful man. Brune knew who the old man was and he never ever wanted to cross him. He let out a sad sigh and with a sad face spoke bitterly.

'Miss vane, I am sorry to inform you that my dear nephew Wesley encountered an elemental storm and could not be saved. I have used all my man power at least to find his body but we haven't found anything. I think you came here for nothing.'

Vane Flora, looked at his fake sad act and sneered. She knew his type very well, Brune could sell his own children if the credits offered were enough.

'Hehe. Do not fool me , we are the same. And I can tell you a secret, the old man used a secret technique to find out whether that woman was still alive and lo and behold, instead of finding the woman, he found a spawn whose blood line had reverted to its ancestors. The technique only works if a bloodline member is alive. Color me surprised when they pinpointed the coordinates of the bloodline member to this city. So, if you are done playing these games, please tell me where the boy is. I want to leave this so called city and go back to civilization.' she spoke out in contempt.

Brune was so mad at being looked down upon that he released his seventh level aura. The room vibrated as if it could not contain his presence. He looked at the woman who looked like she did not care about his presence, she still had that sneer on her face . Brune entertained the thought of killing her but he threw that thought out very fast due to the trouble it would bring him.

He removed his pressure and smiled brightly. He knew he could do nothing now since the boy's presence had been discovered.

'I have to find him quickly since he is still alive' he thought.

'Miss vane, frankly speaking, I do not know where the boy is but I will continue looking for him. Now please excuse me, I have a city to run' he told her and gave her a menacing smile and disappeared from the room.

Vane let out a sigh in relief when he disappeared. Although she kept up a strong front, she was pretty scared, she was just at a warrior at the fourth level. Brune could kill her in seconds but because of the family she represented, he couldn't touch her but mad dogs still existed so she had to tread careful..

'This guy has gotten stronger. I will have to stay in this city for a while just to look for a boy whom I have never seen. Good thing I have a bloodline stone.' she thought to herself as a blood red stone appeared in her hands. If she activated it, it would light up and guide her to a possible area where the boy might be. She had activated it when she had just arrived in the city but nothing happened, she did not get any guidance. That meant he was not in the vicinity of the city or he was somewhere the blood stone could sense.

'aaaah, what a hustle.' she let out a despondent sigh.

When Brune left, he appeared in a quaint courtyard with a wooden house. He got out a communication stone from no where and shouted into it.

'Grog, come and see me. You better have good news for me or else? ' he threatened and then crushed the stone into powder in anger.

'boom, crack,' the dummy fell down in front of Wesley. It had a gash on its chest that was healing slowly. Wesley was panting heavily, he was on one knee and holding his sword for support. He had taken all the skills he had learned to defeat the dummy. It had been a month since his body had increased in size but the good thing was that he had mastered to finely control his strength. He could adjust his body to a normal human height but to fight using his entire strength, he still had to use his full body.

'clap, clap, clap' Tresse clapped in happiness.

'You have defeated the dummy so your foundation are strong. It's time for you to start fighting living beings in the arena. There is difference in fighting a dummy and living beings. But it is time for you to leave this space.' said Tresse and shocked Wesley badly

'I had wanted you to leave when you had at least completed the destruction rule but you can not wait. I will break the rules and give you the vine seed, because the heavenly soil has increased its devouring and if you do not plant it now, it will be too late to control its growth.'

"what?' a panting whisper came out of Wesley's mouth. He was shocked.
