The morning blue lights filtered through the gentle curtains, landing on Cheryl's cheeks with its calm radiation.
The planet Elyndra was lighted by a bright blue star called Aurivon, it's light usually covered the whole planet in white blue light, often making the night light last longer during night hours.
Cheryl's eyes fluttered open as the thought hit him while his dream was still in motion.
'It's true! Today is my appraisal, and I can't continue sleeping here, or they might actually leave me behind!'
He glanced below him and noticed the hard surface he was laying on, instead of on the soft mattress provided by his father for his comfort.
'Oww, how did I end up here?.' He shrugged, pushing himself up from the floor and sitting up.
He placed a hand on his temple and started rubbing it softly, to calm the early morning headache he started having.
During that short moment, he felt a strange sensation, and he could suddenly remember clearly what happened the night before that led to him laying on the floor.
"What?" He said out loud, slightly startled by the moment.
He recalled the moment clearly like he was relieving it, and that was a feeling he had never felt before.
A knock on the door startled him further, causing him to fall over and hit his head on the floor slightly.
"Come in," he ordered, straightening up his position while massaging the back of his head.
Their house butler slid open the door and took a step into his room, placed a hand on his chest, and took a bow, announcing his presence.
"Good morning, master Cheryl." He greeted with a deep groggy voice.
"Morning, Valise. What's the matter? You don't usually come in here unless there's something important." He glanced at him, the pain on his head easing away after the massage.
"You're father, Master Arcturus has summoned you to the living room. He orders that you get cleaned up and dressed before you show up within forty-five minutes for the departure." Valise said, still bowing low to offer respect.
"Ohh, I will be there within forty-five minutes. I've already started preparations to get ready, but thank you for passing on the order," he smiled.
"It is a pleasure of mine. Please do well to quicken your pace in order not to get scolded by Master Arcturus." He advised before raising his head to Cheryl.
"Now, if you'll excuse me. I must inform the twins, for they must prepare quickly at well." He excused himself, turning around and closing the door behind him.
'I have to be fast, or I'll actually get scolded for sure.' He sighed.
He rose to his feet, took off his clothes, and entered into his bathing chamber.
Forty-five minutes went by as Cheryl and the twins rushed down the stairs as quickly as they could, in order not to get scolded by their father.
"Good morning, Father." they announced in unison as they stepped into the living room.
Arcturus glanced their way and stared at the three of them for a while before responding to their greeting.
"Morning." He said with a smile on his face as he stared at the twins.
Then he glanced at Cheryl, his expression changing almost immediately.
"Don't you know that you are to be appraised today?, why waste my time, you should have been here early this morning waiting but here you are, arriving at the same time as the twins." He pointed out with a voice that startled Cheryl's calm nature.
"Sorry, Dad." Cheryl apologised immediately.
'He's right, I was so excited yesterday about today, but I let the medicine take control over me.'
"Come on, let's get some breakfast before we leave." He called out to the twins.
They rushed over and followed him into the dining room for breakfast, while Cheryl followed behind without being recognised.
The dining room was already occupied by everyone in the family as it was a tradition for them to eat together every day, no matter the circumstances.
'I wasn't asked to help cook or do the dishes today,' Cheryl thought as he stepped through the dining doors.
"Morning, Dad." Joe and Harper greeted, taking a stand as he stepped through the doors.
Arcturus nodded in response, then glanced over to the area his wife was sitting.
"Morning, Darling." She smiled, placing her hands crossed in front of her.
They all arrived at the dining table, and they all took their seats at the dining table.
Cheryl went over to the chair at the end of the table and took a seat. While the twins took their seats close to their father.
"You may now begin," Arcturus announced, waving his hand in command.
The cooks and maids all rushed to open the dishes and dished for them each of their wanted delicacies before they started eating.
Discussions with each other began, and everyone picked a partner and started discussing, leaving Cheryl alone without anyone to have a conversation with.
Cheryl finished his meal before the others and left the dining table to wait in the living room for the others to finish.
Minutes later, they all came out together, laughing and exchanging words.
"Good travel" Cheryl's mother, Seraphine, gestured, then bent low to the twins.
"Make mamma proud, okay?" She smiled, patting them both on their heads before standing back up.
"Of course they will, afterall they're my blood." Arcturus chuckled with a sophisticated laugh.
Cheryl stood at the far back, waiting for them to finish with their pleasantries so they could begin their journey.
'All that's left is what I receive today. My fate is literally in my hands' he smiled nervously.
"Alright then, see you all when we get back." Arcturus announced their departure, making his way toward the door.
Joe walked up to Cheryl before they left for the waiting carriage.
"Do well not to tarnish the Bellingham name, or Dad won't take it lightly with you." He advised, patting Cheryl on the shoulder before he left.
'Now I'm even more nervous!' He swallowed his saliva, staring at the waiting white carriage.
