Radway was pleased as he made his report to the branch chief of his mining company. The dwarfs name was Alexander Lemington.Alexander had been gobsmacked when he recieved the news about the new dungeon.
New dungeons were always sought after and in high demand.Even if it was a relatively newly formed dungeon it would still be enough for a small town to be built around the dungeon.Who knows perhaps it would help with the exploration of the northern continent of Novalok.
Most of the continent was still unmapped. This was due to many reasons such as difficult travel conditions, harsh weather, large amounts of monsters, broken out dungeons and the threat of the recently awakened vampire King.
Truth be told this mining operation had been a risky endeavour for more mining resources. The appearance of a newly formed dungeon was an unexpected boon.It wasn't too far inland where it was too far and difficult to reach. The threat of the vampire King and his undead army was on the other end of the continent.
When Radway told the dwarf of his experience within the dungeon the dwarf grew overjoyed and could literally smell the gold that would come in from reporting this information to his higher ups.
Radway attempted to alter the tale to make himself appear more heroic and dashing but Alexander didn't care.
"These creatures you came across.Describe them to me."
"Well sir they were kind of unusual. They had the height and appearance of elves but their figures were more robust and their ears were round. They also possess a variety of skin colours and hair colours. They have some intellect and they're able to speak the common tongue."
Alexander was immediately surprised by what Radway had just said.
"They can speak the common tongue?"
"Yes the strong one I told you about. He said 'I'll remember you'.In all honesty that took me a little by surprise.I don't know if they can all speak the common tongue or if it was just him."
Radway thought back to the encounter with the strong creature back in the dungeon. The creature had a look of resolve when he'd said that.
Alexander Lemington gave it some thought.Intelligent monsters were by no means pushovers. They were known to be far more dangerous then their feral counterparts due to their ability to plan and make strategies.
"Well what did they drop then?" Alexander was curious about this next part of the conversation.
Radway took the drops out of his storage bag and left it on the table.
"They dropped their blood and bones on death. Not the full amounts they had in life mind you but a decent amount.I believe these drops would be useful in bloodline cultivation.Though the drops do need to be tested."
Radway wanted to volunteer to test them but he felt that he would appear too greedy if he did so.Alexander sighed as he had hoped it would be useful in mana or martial arts cultivation.Alas.
"We need to make a report to the mainlands.I'll make sure the both of us are richly rewarded."
...
The dungeon was skeptical about the future but was glad that she was still making some progress. The dungeon didn't even know if she had a gender but she realised that she felt like a she.She didn't know before but she knew now.
Anyways the dungeon was asked by the elite humans to spawn some human crafters.150 essence was spent for 3 human crafters.
[150/1075 essence remaining]
The dungeon realised that she needed to get some more essence. There were multiple ways to achieve this but the favourable way to achieve this was to kill intruders. She could also get her mobs to reproduce and offer sacrifices but she felt disgust at the thought not to mention the waiting time for a human to develop and grow up was abysmally long.
She also realised to her delight that the human crafters were creating what she learned were traps.Spiked pitfalls to be exact. The humans were being proactive that was good.
Arther had respawned some time ago and acquainted himself with the new humans though he appeared a bit more reserved. He did seem surprised that John had survived and was also interested in the three elite humans. The three elite humans were also intrigued by Arther.
Arther appeared stronger then before though this was due to the fact that humanity had grown in strengh with more members and higher quality ones.Arther also appeared more knowledgeable in that he was able to help the crafters make more traps.
Arther seemed fond of his new friends and John who he was the most accustomed with.Arther clasped his hands together and let out a prayer. He prayed that his new friends would survive.
The dungeon felt a pleasant sensation flood throughout her body.It also came with a new notification.
