Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Maintaining World Peace

After bidding farewell to Yun Xiao, Kado left the Land of Fire and sped toward the Land of Waves at incredible speed.

The Land of Waves, Shipping Company.

"P-President… is that you?" The security guard at the entrance asked in shock.

Kado nodded, not bothering to respond further, and walked into the company.

When he returned to his office, Kado felt somewhat dazed. He had suddenly gone from being just an ordinary businessman to becoming an overwhelmingly powerful man. The abrupt transformation in his identity left him feeling bewildered.

Knock knock knock—

At that moment, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in."

A bald man wearing sunglasses walked inside. The moment he saw Kado's appearance, he instinctively removed his glasses, his eyes widening in disbelief as he exclaimed:

"President, how did you become like this?!"

Kado had just returned from the Land of Fire—how did he suddenly grow so tall?

Could the milk from the Land of Fire really make people grow taller?

Kado didn't answer. Instead, he frowned and asked, "What do you want?"

The bald man suppressed his shock, walked over, and sat down beside him.

"Boss, a new shipment just arrived today. Would you like to come take a look?"

Although Kado was nominally the president of the shipping company, in truth he had been secretly making money by smuggling contraband.

Normally, Kado would have been thrilled to rush over and check what kind of goods had come in.

But today, he felt no excitement. Instead, a strange heaviness weighed on him, a gloom he couldn't explain.

After a moment of silence, Kado finally said, "Let's go."

"Yes, sir!" The bald man quickly led the way.

Soon, the two of them left the company and headed toward the port.

At the docks, a black cargo ship had just finished unloading crates as workers hurried to move them onto the pier.

Once the unloading was complete, the black ship sailed away without hesitation.

Staring at the dozen or so crates now stacked on the dock, the bald man opened one of them. Inside, he pulled out a bag of fine white powder and grinned.

"Heh heh… President, what do you think of this batch? We can definitely sell it for a great price!"

The moment Kado laid eyes on the bag of white powder, his mood sank further. His breathing grew heavy, as if something within him was resisting.

It was uncomfortable—like someone with obsessive-compulsive disorder staring at something completely out of place.

Kado knew exactly what this was: the side effect his boss had warned him about.

The serum didn't just enhance his body—it subtly reshaped his heart, slowly molding him into someone inherently righteous.

As the saying goes: with great power comes great responsibility.

If you possessed strength beyond ordinary men, you were meant to use it to help those in need… not to exploit that strength for selfish gain.

At this very moment, Kado was under the influence of the serum, gradually transforming into a superhero who upheld justice.

"Perhaps… this is the price of becoming strong." Kado murmured softly.

Just like Captain America back then… perhaps we should now call him Captain Island Nation.

"President, what's wrong?" The bald man asked anxiously, noticing Kado's odd expression.

"I think… we shouldn't be doing this kind of heartless business anymore." Kado suddenly said.

"Eh?" The bald man froze in confusion. Did he hear that right? The president actually said something like that?

Wasn't it Kado himself who had dragged him into the underworld, smuggling contraband?

The bald man couldn't make sense of it. Cautiously, he asked:

"President… did you secretly smoke something?"

At those words, Kado's mouth twitched violently. He almost toppled over.

Then suddenly—he raised his foot and kicked hard.

Boom!

A heavy crate flew straight into the sea.

The bald man's eyes bulged in shock. He didn't know what stunned him more—the sheer power behind Kado's kick, or the fact that Kado had just thrown away an entire box of valuable goods like trash.

"You're insane!" the bald man cried out.

That crate was filled with prime product! Selling it could have made them a fortune!

But Kado didn't care. He ignored the bald man's shouts and kept kicking the crates one after another into the ocean.

Splash!Splash!Splash!

The sound of heavy cargo sinking into the waves echoed across the pier.

At last, only the crate the bald man had opened remained.

Kado stood still, his eyes fixed on the black ship sailing in the distance.

He drew in a deep breath—then with explosive force, he kicked the last crate.

It shot through the air like an arrow, slamming into the ship with a deafening crash.

BOOM!

The entire world seemed to tremble.

Under the terrifying impact, the vessel split in two and quickly sank beneath the sea.

The bald man was struck dumb on the spot. He wanted to curse at Kado, but not a single word would come out.

How… how could Kado have become this strong after just a trip to the Land of Fire?!

With the power he just displayed, even those so-called elite ninjas couldn't compare!

Then suddenly, the bald man noticed Kado's gaze shift onto him. His heart skipped a beat. Was Kado going to kick him too?

Given the strength he just saw, a single kick would kill him instantly!

Terrified, the bald man stammered, "P-President… y-you're right! We can't throw away our conscience for money…"

Kado nodded approvingly and patted the man on the shoulder.

"I'm glad you think that way."

Seeing that Kado had no intention of harming him, the bald man finally let out a breath of relief.

"Doing honest business is the right path," Kado said with a smile.

The bald man nodded repeatedly. "Yes, President, you're absolutely right! From now on, I'll run things clean and proper!"

"Good. In that case, starting today—you are the new president of the shipping company!" Kado declared.

"Huh?" The bald man froze in confusion. "If I'm the president, then what about you?"

Kado stood silently for a long moment, his gaze lingering on the horizon. Finally, he answered in a low voice:

"I plan to resign… and dedicate myself to maintaining world peace."

The bald man's jaw dropped.

Kado was giving up the presidency… just to maintain world peace?!

Could it really not be the result of inhaling too much of that powder?

But then again… with the power Kado had just shown, perhaps he truly was capable of keeping world peace.

After all, even among the strongest ninjas he'd seen, none could rival the Kado standing before him now.

"President, I believe in you! You will definitely succeed!" The bald man said excitedly.

Kado smiled. "Just focus on your business. I'll come back to visit when I have time."

"Yes, President! I promise I'll grow the company bigger and stronger!"

Good luck—I believe you can do it!

Then, as Kado glanced down at his torn and tattered clothes, a thought struck him.

Before setting off to maintain world peace… he should probably commission a proper uniform to symbolize his new identity.
