Every Loki harbors the ambition of Lü Bu: *If you will not abandon me, I am willing to swear allegiance as your sworn brother!*
And what happens after becoming a sworn brother? Of course, it's time for the backstab and betrayal.
Watching this scene unfold, the Loki standing by felt utterly mortified. It was all him—or rather, versions of him from different timelines. Yet it was painfully clear that not a single one of these Lokis was a decent sort.
He felt a deep sense of shame. *So this is the kind of scoundrel I used to be?*
When there was only one Loki, he'd never felt this way. But now, with so many Lokis gathered together, it was a true spectacle of a mess—a concentrated cluster of shit that, when scattered, would be a constellation of chaos.
These Lokis were truly, utterly wicked and foolish. Even Loki himself found them so utterly embarrassing that he was speechless.
Individually, each Loki would be a formidable demon king, stirring up storms wherever they went. But gathered together? They were nothing but a public disgrace.
"Why the hell is there an alligator here?!" President Loki roared upon seeing the creature.
"He's a Loki!"
At that moment, Black Loki, Kid Loki, and Old Man Loki couldn't help but shout in unison.
Meanwhile, Crocodile Loki had already lost his patience. He lunged forward and tore off President Loki's hand in one bite, instantly plunging the scene into utter chaos.
The various Lokis became locked in a frenzied brawl, a complete and utter mess.
Taking advantage of the turmoil, Loki, Kid Loki, and Old Man Loki seized the opportunity to escape.
"Damn it, you animals!" Old Man Loki roared. Witnessing the infighting among these diverse Lokis only fueled his frustration. *Is this really what we're like across every timeline? This kind of scum?*
"We lie, we cheat, we hurt everyone who ever trusted us. For what?" Old Man Loki continued to roar in fury. "Power? Glorious power? A glorious purpose? We can't change. We're just villains—every single version of us, forever and always!"
Kid Loki nodded in agreement. "And whenever one of us tries to reform, they're sent here to die!"
Clearly, although he had killed Thor, this Loki was not a natural-born villain. There was a real reason for it. He had grown completely sick of the endless schemes and betrayals among these Lokis over the years. That was why he led this group of old, weak, and disabled Lokis, rather than those in their prime.
But they had no choice. They were destined to be the big bads. If they ever tried to break free from their roles as villains, they would be sent here to await being devoured by Alioth.
Loki roared in fury, "This is why we need to get out of here! Unless the Time Variance Authority is destroyed, nothing will ever change!"
"Do you trust her?" Old Man Loki asked.
"She's the only one I trust!" Loki replied. "And right now, I believe she's our only chance to take down the Time Variance Authority!"
"That's all we need to hear!" Kid Loki declared.
"Alright, alright, we'll help you!"
Old Man Loki added, "But getting close to Alioth is suicide!"
"We'll help you get close to it, but that's as far as we go!"
Loki nodded. This was enough.
The remaining Lokis gathered together, ready to rebel against the tyranny.
However, the video ended right there, leaving everyone furious. Lin Feng always did this.
It was obvious that Lin Feng was merely poking fun at the sheer variety of Lokis.
"Judging by the number of Lokis, it's likely that most of our parallel timeline variants have also been pruned!" Nick Fury remarked. "For example, that Black Loki who boasted about conquering you and Captain—he's just another Loki variant from a parallel timeline!"
"Nah, I don't think he was telling the truth. He's just bragging!" Tony Stark retorted bluntly. He couldn't fathom ever losing to that stupid, evil Black Loki. Even if it were a version of himself from a parallel timeline, he refused to believe he'd lose to such an idiot. "Still, from this footage, it's clear that while only Lokis seem to be in The Void right now, they aren't the only ones who've been pruned. That Frog Thor, for instance—probably born as a mistake. Even we have parallel timeline variants, like Zombie Iron Man. Clearly, that's not a Sacred Timeline either!"
Everyone nodded. Many of their parallel-universe counterparts had likely been pruned here, but all had ultimately died. This particular group of Lokis was simply the most resilient.
"We used to think being pruned meant the timeline was erased or reset," Tony Stark said with a laugh. "But now we know it's more like being dumped into a world like this—a giant junkyard. If that's the case, maybe we should learn how to survive in a wasteland. We might actually need those skills someday!" He added, "And it's probably not just people getting pruned. There must be supplies, objects, and other things too. After all, if only people were pruned, how would all these Lokis have survived?"
"Unless you Aesir can survive without eating!" Tony Stark said, glancing at Thor.
Thor replied with a hint of awkwardness, "While we are the so-called Aesir, we can't survive without food. Besides, ordinary Aesir don't even possess a divine spark—only a touch of divinity."
Everyone was a bit surprised. They hadn't expected Thor to be so humble now. After all, when he first appeared, he was nothing like this—he was arrogant, proclaiming himself a god and looking down on humans.
He was just like Loki. No, he was even more arrogant and conceited than Loki.
But now, he actually had this side to him. It couldn't help but make people sigh that time truly had changed a lot.
Thor sighed. He used to be ignorant of the world's vastness, but now he finally understood how deep the universe's waters truly were. Besides, in the future, his entire family would be wiped out, leaving only him. What was there left to be proud of?
Tony Stark paused for a moment, then said, "The biggest inspiration I got from this video wasn't how Old Man Loki evaded Thanos and the Time Variance Authority's pursuit—because we have already completely deviated from the timeline. Its true value lies in providing another possibility.
That is, does the Time Variance Authority on the Sacred Timeline know about Old Man Loki's existence or not?
What is the Time Variance Authority's enforcement standard? Is it that everyone who transcends their predetermined fate must die? Or is it that as long as they don't interfere with subsequent events, they can survive?"
"No, the Time Variance Authority's enforcement standard has always been very clear: it's about interfering with the course of history on the Sacred Timeline, right?" Natasha, the Black Widow, spoke up. "So, I don't think they discovered us early. Based on their track record, it's impossible for them to have already found us and then just watched without taking action. That's completely out of character for them!"
"But if we follow that same logic, the fact that we haven't been arrested—and have even made it this far—is incredibly strange, isn't it?" Natasha continued. "There's definitely something fishy going on here!"
"Maybe I'll throw out a wilder theory," Tony Stark said. "See if this possibility makes sense to you: What if the Timeline War never actually ended? Or... what if it's started again?"
Earlier, everyone had heard Miss Minutes explain the concept of the Timeline War in a TVA video: a brutal conflict between countless timelines, each led by a different version of Kang the Conqueror.
In the end, the victorious faction established the Time Variance Authority and designated their own timeline as the Sacred Timeline.
The current situation is actually based on this theory.
But what if the Timeline War never ended?
Or what if it has started all over again?
That would be a completely different story.
"Lin Feng has been waiting," Tony Stark said. "He seems to know that the future Time Variance Authority will be too preoccupied to deal with him. He's been waiting for a specific moment. That's why when he first arrived, he was extremely cautious of the TVA, keeping a low profile whenever possible. Later, he gradually became much bolder. Doesn't that mean we can infer that in Lin Feng's knowledge, there is a Timeline War, or at least a force opposing the Time Variance Authority?"
"Only a power or organization strong enough to rival the Time Variance Authority could force them to neglect our timeline," Tony continued.
Everyone listened intently. This analysis seemed to make a lot of sense.
"So, I'm proposing a bold hypothesis," Tony Stark said, introducing a new and shocking theory. "Is it possible that this diary actually comes from that organization? By dropping it into different time points and timelines, they could create more divergent timelines. This would cause countless timelines to constantly branch off under the diary's catalyst."
The diary might have come from an organization opposed to the Time Variance Authority. Its purpose was clearly to split more timelines from the Sacred Timeline, thereby driving more people to join the Resistance to save themselves.
After all, no one is ever truly willing to be killed, no matter how beautifully it's phrased—claims of "ensuring the safety of the timeline" or "preventing the mass casualties of a Timeline War."
Who would ever be willing to die for the "greater good"?
