Chapter 37 - CHAPTER 36

---

"You're pregnant," Mike said.

"P-pregnant?" Mirabel stammered, staring at him. "Ha… ha… you're joking, right? You really got me. Why aren't you laughing? Guys, if this is a joke, stop it—I don't like this!"

"Mirabel, don't stress yourself. I'm not lying." Mike handed her a paper. She snatched it from his hand, her eyes racing over the words.

"I'm pregnant? Oh God…" she whispered, clutching her hair.

"Oh God… this can't be happening."

"Mirabel, enough," Mike said firmly. "You're pregnant. Stop overreacting—it's not good for the baby."

Tears spilled from her eyes uncontrollably.

"Mirabel, just stop it!" Mike snapped in frustration.

Her sobs only grew, her fingers tangled in her hair as she thought bitterly, Lucian, you've really crossed the line…

Tracy rushed to her side, holding her shoulders. "It's okay. What's done is done. No matter how much you cry, it won't change anything. The baby won't just disappear. You have to accept it—it's your child."

Mirabel blinked at her through her tears.

"You're right," she whispered shakily. "There's nothing I can do. It's my baby." She wiped her eyes and hugged Tracy tightly.

"Now you need to eat. Your baby is hungry."

"Yes."

She forced herself to eat, finishing her food with Tracy beside her.

Later, Mike called from the door. "Can we go now?"

"Yes, the car is ready."

They walked out together. The driver took them straight to the mansion.

---

As soon as they stepped inside, Mirabel called out, "Grandpa."

Roshan hurried toward her. "You silly girl! You're dating? I thought you were joking!"

"Grandpa, I'm not dating anyone," she cut him off quickly. "And I'd rather not talk about the pregnancy or who the father is. I'll raise my child by myself. Nobody must know I'm pregnant—it's going to stay a secret from the world."

Flora, who was there too, nodded firmly. "Her baby must be kept secret," she insisted.

Mirabel walked away, Tracy following her upstairs. Once inside the room, Mirabel locked the door.

"Let's take a bath—we're going to miss our flight."

"Oh, okay."

They bathed quickly, dressed, and packed their bags. Mirabel tied her hair into a ponytail before they headed downstairs.

---

"Mirabel, where are you going?" Roshan asked.

"Home. I'm going back to Las Vegas."

"But—"

"No buts. I've already called a taxi. Don't worry."

Her manager carried her bag out to the waiting taxi. Tracy followed, placing hers inside too. Mirabel hugged her family one by one before climbing into the car. Tracy hugged Flora goodbye.

They rode quietly to the airport. At the terminal, both women showed their passports and tickets. Mirabel wore a mask, glasses, and a cap to avoid her fans recognizing her. Her manager also wore a mask.

As they boarded, Mirabel paused, glancing back one last time.

"Me and my baby… we're not coming back to this crazy city again," she whispered before heading to her seat.
