Chapter 29 – The Power of the Pika Pika no Mi
"It still feels just as hard as before…" Yusuke muttered as he opened his eyes the next morning.
The moment he tried to sense any changes in his body, he was shocked—his chakra reserves had skyrocketed to upper-Kage level, even surpassing Hoshigaki Kisame, who was known for his massive chakra pool.
He was only five years old. His body hadn't even finished developing. At this rate, even without relying on Devil Fruit powers, he could eventually rival a Tailed Beast—or perhaps even Hashirama Senju himself.
But that was just the thing—Yusuke did have a Devil Fruit.
He couldn't wait to test out the powers of the Pika Pika no Mi, the Light-Light Fruit he had just acquired. With it, his combat strength could easily reach peak Kage level. His speed... approached the speed of light.
There were many shinobi who had hit Kage-level strength. Take Itachi, for example—his power soared once he activated Susanoo.
(Skill level isn't always linear with chakra level, after all.)
Or Namikaze Minato, whose strength shot through the roof once he mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique.
Yusuke could already defeat many of the highest-level shinobi. But facing someone like the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was a different story.
It wasn't that Hiruzen was stronger overall—his sealing techniques (Fūinjutsu) could lock down space itself, rendering Flying Thunder God useless.
(Even after becoming Hokage, Minato's strength without Flying Thunder God was still top-tier Kage level thanks to his mastery of both Ninjutsu and Fūinjutsu. Every Hokage had to reach the peak of the Kage tier, especially during the era of the Third Great Ninja War.)

Contract Scroll – Millennium Dragon]
This scroll allows the user to summon the Millennium Dragon from Dragon Island.
Note: Other users may also sign this contract.
"No way... the system actually gives out stuff like this?" Yusuke blinked, stunned. "I've got a Summon Beast now?!"
He grinned, excited.
"The Millennium Dragon might be on par with the Sacred Beasts from the Three Great Locations. It may not look exactly like a traditional dragon, but it's way cooler than frogs, snakes, or slugs."
That made him wonder... could he contract sea creatures from the One Piece world too? The Millennium Dragon came from there, after all.
He stepped out of the room.
Standing outside was a woman with puffy, red-rimmed eyes.
"You waited all night, didn't you, Tsunade?" he asked softly.
"Hmph. Just pack up. We're heading back to the village," Tsunade replied sharply—but the worry behind her tone was clear.
"No need. I can leave whenever. I'm not carrying anything."
(Thanks to the system's storage.)
Tsunade stared at him quietly. Something felt different.
That same vague, ominous pressure again...
The boy had changed. He was terrifying.
One word—monster.
Once all the personnel had been accounted for, the Konoha group left Sunagakure.

Elsewhere…
"Lord Kazekage, what do we do now?" Rasa asked, concerned.
"Don't act rashly. Let the other villages move first," the Third Kazekage said calmly.
"Deploy assassins. Hatake Yusuke must die," muttered a short elder in a cold voice.
He refused to let a second Uchiha Madara be born into this world.
He had once witnessed Madara's power firsthand—a godlike figure whose mere presence overwhelmed everything.
Even the Second Tsuchikage had been like a helpless infant in front of him.
And now, in Yusuke... he felt it again. That same bloodlust, that overwhelming confidence, that hunger for battle.
"This child must be eliminated," another large elder declared.
"But... Raikage," Samui protested.
"That's enough. We're only killing one boy. That doesn't mean we're at war with the Legendary Sannin," the Third Raikage cut in coldly.

Meanwhile, in Kirigakure...
"What should we do, Mizukage-sama?"
"Keep an eye on him. If an opportunity arises... kill him," the Third Mizukage said flatly.
Mei Terumi and Kisame remained silent.
But deep down... they both knew.
They wouldn't be able to kill Yusuke.
It was instinct—a quiet, undeniable feeling.

On the way back to Konoha…
"Finally home," Inaka Hyūga said with relief.
"Yeah... being in the village always feels safer," Honda Kaori agreed.
Suddenly—
"Everyone stay alert. We're under attack," Jiraiya called out.
"Tsunade, get them out of here! Orochimaru and I will handle the rest!"
Tsunade immediately took charge of the genin and began evacuating.
But moments later, enemy shinobi appeared up ahead.
"Tsunade, this won't work. They're after me," Yusuke said calmly.
"I'll be the distraction."
"No!" Tsunade refused instantly.
"Tsunade... trust me. In this world, no one can stop me."
He wasn't boasting. It was simply a fact.
His speed was light.
Though not yet perfect, no one could match it—not even the Fourth Raikage or Minato.
"I still won't allow it!" Tsunade yelled.
"Do you understand what the speed of light means?" Yusuke turned to her, eyes serious.
"Light…?" Tsunade blinked. She knew he wasn't joking.
"Put simply… I'm faster than Tobirama."
"Faster than Grandpa Tobirama?" Tsunade echoed in disbelief.
Sure, Flying Thunder God was a space-time technique, not raw speed.
It was teleportation—point A to point B.
Tobirama and even Minato seemed fast, but that was because of their reaction time and decision-making.
True light-speed was something else.
When Minato flipped midair during his fight with Obito—
To light, that instant was more than enough time to kill ten thousand enemies.
Light circles the earth 7.5 times per second.
Yusuke hadn't reached that level yet, but his speed was beyond human.
When he moved as light... the world felt like it stopped.
(Even Kizaru from One Piece wasn't truly light-speed. If he were, he'd be invincible.)
"Fine. I'll show you. But after this, take them home," Yusuke said.
He turned to the assassins drawing near.
"You know…" he said, his tone flat.
"Speed… is weight."
"Have you ever been kicked… at the speed of light?"
As he finished speaking, he raised his leg.
Golden light burst out.
One ninja barely had time to blink before his body was sent flying, crashing into trees like a ragdoll.
In an instant, Yusuke reappeared beside another one.
This one didn't even see it coming—he was airborne before his brain registered the hit.
Within a breath, every enemy shinobi was sent flying in different directions.
To the bystanders, it looked like a group attack.
But in reality, Yusuke had struck them one by one—too fast for the eye to follow.
Tsunade stood frozen. She couldn't see the movements, but she could feel them.
Yusuke was blindingly fast... but there was a slight pause between each strike.
Light couldn't bend sharply. It traveled straight.
To the Chūnin watching, it was just a golden flash, then impact.
Everything happened too fast.
"Now you understand, right, Tsunade?" Yusuke said, suddenly beside her again, smiling faintly.
Flying Thunder God? she thought.
No… this was faster.
Yusuke's movements resembled teleportation, but there were no seals, no prep.
He disappeared and reappeared with each attack—but only at the moment of impact did he become visible.
In truth, Yusuke had already surpassed Minato's speed.
Flying Thunder God required marked points and had range limits.
If the distance was too far, it wouldn't work.
But Yusuke…
With a single thought, he could surpass the maximum range of even Minato's teleportation.
Even in a straight race where Minato had all his seals placed, he still wouldn't win.
