Keifer's POV
It's been hours and Jay is still not back. I am starting to get worried. I couldn't wait any longer, so I called Angelo to ask if Jay was still at his house.
On the call:
Angelo: what's this about.
Keifer: is Jay still at your house.
Angelo: what do u mean still? She was never here.
Keifer: but Jay texted me saying that she is going to your house. If she's not there then where is she?
I immediately ended the call without waiting for his reply and dialled Jay number.
She wasn't picking her phone. Panicky surged through me.
I was about to call edrix and rory to find her, when,
JAY's POV
Mason dropped me a llittle further than keifer's house so that he wouldn't get spotted.
When I opened the door to the house, the first thing I saw was keifer walking around impatiently.
When he saw me he immediately hugged.
Keifer: fuck, u scared the hell out of me. Where the fuck were u.
Jay: I told u I was at kuya's house.
Keifer: don't lie to me Jay. I just got off phone with Angelo, he said that u never went to his house.
Jay: ahmm..... I.. I changed my mind at the last minute. I was hungry so I went to the mini mart instead and it was getting late so I decided to go some other day.
I lied. It's not like I could tell him the truth.
Keifer: why weren't u picking up your phone?
Jay: oh, I must have put it on silent again. Sorry.
Keifer: don't do that again Jay. I was really worried.
Jay: sorry na.😅
Keifer: fine. But u still owe me for missing our date today.
Jay: what do u want?
Keifer: u know what I want😘
Jay: how about another date. Tomorrow. Promise.
Keifer: ok, but I want something else as well.
Jay: what?
Keifer: how about a kiss.
Jay: fine. But only this once.
Then I kissed him. Soft and slow at first but he started moving his lips with mine and slowly deepened it.
We kissed until we were both breathless.
Then rested our forheads on each other.
Jay(breathlessly): I am hungry. Now go make me something.
He chuckled.
Keifer: ok, anything for my wifey 😊
I blushed, hard.
Keifer: go freshen up and change and then sit at the dining table. I'll be back in a few minutes with the dishes, ok.
Jay: ok.
I went upstairs to get fresh and change into some comfy clothes and then went downstairs to wait for him at the dining table.
After a while he came back with pasta and bread.
Keigan and keigan also came because it was already dinner time.
We all ate together like a big happy family.
Then we all went in our rooms.
I brushed my teeth and then went straight to bed. Today was a very long and stressful day so I was really tired.
Keifer laid down beside and hugged me tightly.
Keifer: good night wifey.
I turned to him and hugged him back.
Jay: good night.
The next morning: ( it's saturday )
I woke up early today. Keifer was still sleeping while hugging him tightly.
My hand was on his chest, moving silently with his every breath. And I just watched him for a while.
Jay( in her mind ): I have decided keifer. I want to see u this peaceful forever. I know what I have to do now. To protect u, to protect me, our friends and family but most of all, to protect us. I have to be what I swore to be all those years ago, the leader of The League.
I gave him a quick kiss on the lips and then went to freshen up and change.
He was still asleep when I got out. I let him be and went downstairs to make a call.
On the call:
Head: have u decided yet?
Jay: yes, I will take my position as I swore to.
Head: good. U can take your position when u want but the sooner, the better.
Jay: Ik. I will try to come as soon as possible.
Head: u can have this weekend to prepare. I will send mason to pick u up on Monday, after your exam ends.
Jay: fine, but make sure nobody sees him.
Head: ofc. And there is just one more thing I want to tell u. Kaizer might use it against u so it's better that u know now.
Jay: what is it.
Head: I have recently got to know that keifer was engaged to Angelo's first love, Ion which was set up by his brother, keigan. But no need to worry, they broke the engagement. I know I shouldn't be the one to tell u this but I had no choice. Kaizer will use whatever he thinks could break u so I need u to be ready for anything.
Jay: as much as it hurts, i am ok with it. No one can separate me from keifer. I'll make sure of it. Whatever he thinks he can say to break me, he can't. Not after what I already have been through.
Then I ended the call.
Right then keifer came downstairs.
Keifer( smiling ): good morning wifey😊
Jay: good morning keifer.
He was still smiling while looking at me.
Jay: why r u so happy today?
Keifer: don't u remember what's today?
Jay: no, what is it?
Keifer: it's our first official date today.
Jay: oh, yeah. R u excited?
Keifer: ofc I am. After all I am taking u to a 5 star restaurant today.
Jay: fancy.
Keifer: anything for u.
Jay: ok ok. Now let's go eat some breakfast.
Keifer: ok.
We ate our breakfast while he continued teasing me.
Afterwards, we went to his room to study because we had an exam on Monday.
It's a good thing that he is here to tutor me, otherwise I don't know how I would revise for the exam.
