Sunny's POV
The Shadow King suddenly doubled over, clutching his chest and gasping in pain.
"What's wrong?" Sunny rushed forward, catching the reformed villain before he could fall.
"The Council," the Shadow King wheezed. "They're trying to... reclaim control over me. I can feel their magic... pulling at my mind."
Luna joined them, her silver magic glowing around her hands. "How do we stop it?"
"You can't," the Shadow King said weakly. "But there's something you need to know before they take me back. Something about what you're really facing."
He pointed a shaking finger toward a stone shelf where a leather journal sat among dusty magical artifacts. "Read that. Read it now, before it's too late."
