Chapter 13 - Chapter 12: Communication Between Pluto and the Ancient One

The bald woman in the gray and white robe was the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One, who protected this world. The green magical item she wore on her chest was the Eye of Agamotto, the most precious and unique Time Stone in this world.

As the only "Father-Level" master on the planet, the Ancient One's power was not to be underestimated. At this moment, she had personally come to this small gallery to visit its owner.

"Ten years ago, while I was in Kamar-Taj, I felt an intense darkness appear suddenly. But when I arrived, I found that this dark force had vanished."

Aaron sat to the side, staring at the Ancient One.

"And last night, I felt this darkness again," the Ancient One continued, while Aaron simply listened. He didn't care what she wanted to say, nor did he know what secrets she was hiding.

Finally, after sharing all her guesses and doubts, the Ancient One turned her attention directly to Aaron.

"Was that person ten years ago you?" she asked with a slight smile. "At the time, I sensed a disturbance in an old English town, but all I found was a painting—a style almost identical to the one in your gallery..."

"I was still young then," Aaron said lightly, taking a sip of tea. "But now, I won't be so naive." He suddenly stood up, a momentary aura of despair emanating from him before it quickly dissipated.

"It really is you, the great sorcerer who controls darkness..."

Now that the Ancient One had confirmed Aaron's identity, she felt she could relax. Based on her research, this person hadn't posed any threat to the world in ten years. On the contrary, he had even helped some weaker races. The strange thing was that in the stories of those he helped, he was referred to as Hades, the lord of the underworld from the Olympian pantheon.

As someone aware of Asgard's existence and the lost gods, the Ancient One knew that these gods had left the planet after the battles with the Celestials, vowing not to interfere in its affairs.

"Magician Ancient One, you didn't come here just to confirm my identity, did you?" Aaron stared at her. "The dark power within you that emanates the breath of death is no longer stable. You tried to steal dark energy from another dimension to supplement your life. It seems you've run into some trouble."

As Pluto, Aaron had a keen sense of dark energy. The Sorcerer Supreme in front of him was infused with a repulsive dark energy that was tyrannical, unstable, and vile. It didn't belong to her, yet she had acquired it in a clever way.

Aaron smiled faintly, as if he now understood what she was looking for.

"As expected of the master who has controlled darkness," the Ancient One admitted. "Yes, there are some things I need your help with."

The Ancient One, in her off-white robe, had been trying to guide the conversation to her side, but Aaron hadn't fallen for it. He was too hard to outmaneuver. In exasperation, she shook her head, her calm expression belying the seriousness of her words.

Then, the Ancient One waved her hand, opening an unfamiliar space that completely enveloped the two of them.

"The Mirror Dimension?" Aaron was intrigued by this spatial ability. As the King of the Underworld, he regretted not yet being connected to his own Elysium. When will my sleeping real body wake up? Damn Athena, when I recover, I will violently beat your dog's head! And those mischievous Saints are so annoying!

"It seems Mr. Aaron's knowledge far surpasses mine!"

"There's no need for commercial flattery. Let's talk."

The Ancient One nodded. Neither of them was an ordinary person, so there was no need for insincere compliments.

"I saw a future in which this blue planet is destroyed," the Ancient One said calmly. "A dark energy swallows the planet. I suspect it's a power from another dimension, but no matter how I try to deduce it, I can't find its source."

Aaron finally understood why the Ancient One had come to find him. The dark energy devouring the Earth—wasn't this the exact scene of his previous life before his reincarnation? However, in this new life, he had no interest in that boring "holy war."

"You think I'm going to devour this planet?"

In response to his question, the Ancient One shook her head, her expression growing more perplexed.

"In my deductions, I can't see your existence. You don't belong to this world. You have no past and no future." She paused before continuing. "Therefore, you may be the only way to save this planet."

Aaron's eyebrows twitched slightly. How did I, a god who symbolizes death, become the savior of this world? Is this a joke?

"You actually believe me, an outsider? As the Sorcerer Supreme of this planet, shouldn't you be against the invasion of outsiders?"

The Ancient One smiled. "Because I know I may not be your opponent."
