The search for Gwen was fruitless as they didn't even catch a glimpse of her shadow, Elaine was sure june knew they wouldn't find her, it was just the both of them that went strolling round the school as June showed her all the places she needed to know, and she found the school very beautiful, it was really very different from the world outside, all the buildings were antique, old and beautiful.
As they strolled, some part of the school felt as though there were invisible restrictions, and june just passed by them without even caring, which piqued Elaine's curiosity.
"Uhhhh, I'm exhausted" June said falling lifelessly on the bed, it was already late afternoon, and they were in June and Gwen's room.
"It was your idea to go show me round the school" Elaine said sitting on the couch.
"It was worth it, but now I think I'm too tired to go for the evening games"
"I don't believe you're that tired, it was just a few hours walk".
"I know but I'm a very lazy person". June said drawing her words.
Elaine went back to her room when June began dozing off, she just laid on her bed staring at the ceiling.
"Weird" she muttered to herself.
Her eyes left the ceiling when she heard a sound coming from outside the window, she just wanted to pretend she didn't hear a thing, but that was an impossible as the sound kept persisting, it sounded as though someone was stepping on dried leaves, which meant the sound was coming from under the trees, getting up, she walked towards the window, she was a little more confident probably because it was still bright outside , she opened the curtains and looked outside the window below the trees hoping to see what was there, but there was nothing, she stayed like that for some time before realizing the sound had long stopped, leaving only the distant chatters of the students outside. She closed the windows, and sat back on the bed looking around, everywhere started to become cold which made her wrap her arms around her self, wandering why the temperature suddenly began dropping, she began feeling a strange feeling of fear which sent shivers down her spine, she was still feeling cold when she also began sweating, which she found strange, she went under the blanket and covered herself completely.
"Nothing happened, there's no one here"
"No reason to be afraid"
She told herself and soon after she fell asleep.

"I thought you wouldn't make it " Elaine told june as we stood outside in the open field, there were so many students around as it was Sunday night, The sky was very clear as the moon shun down brightly, the stars were scattered across the sky making everyone feel more alive, right now The fear from a few hours was long gone and forgotten, apparently, June was the one to wake her up as she came knocking really loudly at the door.
" I can't wait to find out what we would be doing tonight" June said excitedly.
"Is it compulsory to participate?" Elaine asked.
"No, it isn't, but what fun is there watching others play?"
"But you also stand a chance of doing someone else's field work"
"That was just one time!, you would be participating right?"
"I'm not sure"
"You have to be"
"I said I'm not"
"I'm not taking that, June said pouting, you just don't want to stand on the sidelines, watching others have all the fun"
"Personally, I don't think it's bad to just watch others"
"Oh it is!" June exclaimed
"I don't think it is"
"Well you would be joining, it's your first time, I promise, it would be memorable ".
"When is it starting?" Elaine asked
"Soon"
"Who's hosting it?"
"Students"
"Students?, I don't think I've seen any teacher or staff around" Elaine pointed out
"You'll only see teachers and staffs at the classroom and during learning hours"
"Really?"
"Yes" June answered nonchalantly.
"Is that right?" Elaine asked not liking the idea.
"I don't know, but to put it in a simple way, HERBERT WILBUR belongs to the students".
" There was something about the way she said that didn't seem right, or was it the way she phrased it, it sounded very odd, or was I just thinking things , probably of it were to be Gwen that said it she wouldn't have felt this way, or was I just overthinking things ?".
"What if there were disputes or fights among students?" Elaine asked.
"As long as it's not during learning hours, they'll set themselves out"
"So where do the teachers stay?"
"Admin block "
"Uhh..." Elaine asked
"Administration building "
"Where is it?, I don't remember is passing there"
"We didn't, I don't like it there" she said her voice hardening for the first time.
"So I-
"Oh!, I think it's time" June said pulling Elaine by the hands towards the front of the dorm building where a crowd has gathered.
