"Sigh, every time I look at that guy… I feel so powerless. Let me finish this drink first."
Stark sighed, sipping his wine.
Steve, Barton, Fury, Natasha all rushed out of the carrier, joining the fight.
Hawkeye, quick with his arrows, took the high ground.
True to his title—never missed.
He quickly took down a few Chitauri.
Yes… only a few. Facepalm worthy.
Captain America, a karate champion with his vibranium shield, unleashed his skill.
He killed dozens, even narrowly dodging a Leviathan's jaws.
Honestly… compared to Stark's drones, he looked weak.
Even a random Mark 3 drone outperformed him.
Since Saitama appeared, the bar for heroes had risen absurdly high.
Those once dazzling now seemed dim.
Natasha, Thor—still impressive.
The beauty with strength, the god with thunder.
"JARVIS, analyze its weak point."
Stark scanned a Leviathan mid-flight.
It was colossal. Thick scales shrugged off even his repulsors and chest beams.
"Analysis complete. Deploying seven nearby Mark 3s for coordinated assault."
JARVIS's voice replied.
Seven scarred drones swooped in, surrounding Stark in flawless formation.
Angles precise—better than any fighter jet team.
"Average. Needs optimizing."
Stark smirked, unable to resist showing off.
Still, he was a genius.
Because of Saitama, his armor had evolved far beyond the original.
His drones now fought in formations, even refueling each other like flying stations.
He was even researching suits capable of carrying warships.
Not ready yet, but he wanted to regain face before Saitama.
"Hey, boy scout, watch what real tech can do!"
Even in battle, Stark jabbed at Steve.
Steve flushed, sighing in embarrassment.
"ROAR—"
Suddenly, the Leviathan screamed.
Its massive body crashed, armor shattering, spine twisted.
It writhed once, then died.
Hulk grinned at Stark, pulling his bloody fist free of its skull.
With a mighty jump, the ground collapsed beneath him, and he leapt at another.
Stark: "…"
Damn it! He stole my spotlight on purpose!
While heroes fought minions, Saitama reached Stark Tower.
He passed Thor and Loki, locked in a sibling brawl.
Loki pinned to the ground: "…"
Thor with hammer raised: "…"
Both brothers froze, watching the bald slacker stroll past, uninterested.
He walked straight toward the Tesseract.
"Saitama! Stop the cube! If not, the Chitauri will never end!"
Thor shouted anxiously.
Even for Asgard, fighting the Chitauri was troublesome, draining centuries.
For Earth, a newborn civilization, it was annihilation.
"Useless, Thor! Even if you beat me, so what? The Chitauri will conquer this planet! You're wasting your time!"
Loki laughed maniacally.
Saitama scratched his head, bored, approaching the cube.
The Tesseract—the Space Stone—was unlike any divine power.
One of the six primal gems of the universe!
Even Saitama's immense strength meant nothing before it.
"This thing can't be shut down… Unless with the scepter! Loki's scepter!"
Dr. Erik, finally awake, cried out.
An ordinary man, he had no way to face Loki. He could only wait.
"Oh? So this is the Tesseract?"
Saitama studied the glowing cube curiously.
It floated within a two-meter sphere of energy, light blazing, wormhole open.
Through it, endless Chitauri poured in.
"What strange power…"
For once, he frowned slightly, extending his hand.
"No! Young man, you'll die if you touch it!"
Erik shouted in panic.
Thor's face shifted too.
"Stop! You can't touch it!"
Even Thor would be badly wounded by the cube in this state.
"Heh heh, if he wants to die, don't blame me."
Loki sneered.
But his sneer froze.
Saitama's finger touched the cube's shield—
A barrier capable of destroying molecules, atoms, even particles.
Hum~~~
A strange ripple spread outward.
