The whole world seemed to pause for an instant.
A strange feeling! This was the space power strong enough to destroy Mjolnir itself.
But under Thor and Loki's horrified stares—
The bald monster's fingertip slowly pierced the spatial shield. Then a knuckle, half a palm, a whole hand, then his entire arm went through.
That terrifying space force had no effect on him!
"Hiss—how… how is that possible?"
Dr. Erik gasped, face pale.
As Earth's foremost expert on the Tesseract, he had tried countless methods, but breaking through that barrier was impossible.
Yet now, an ordinary man just reached in?
"What… what does it feel like?"
He swallowed hard, throat bobbing.
From afar, Loki and Thor froze as well.
They stopped fighting, both staring blankly at Saitama.
"Feels… warm… comfortable… kind of like soaking in a hot spring…"
Saitama muttered with dead-fish eyes, savoring it.
Hot spring?
Loki nearly coughed blood.
That barrier could shred Asgardian artifacts and even Thor's hammer—
And this guy called it a hot spring?
As his palm neared the cube, Saitama suddenly stopped.
He felt something strange—
His Absorption Talent had automatically triggered!
Like a whale drinking water, the cube's cosmic space force flowed into his body.
His limbs and bones filled with that primal energy.
Boom!
Loki dropped his scepter, eyes bulging.
He collapsed to the ground, too shocked to fight.
Even below, Stark, Groot, and the others noticed.
Even the Chitauri soldiers stopped, staring dumbly at the sky.
The massive wormhole, over ten kilometers wide—
Was shrinking!
The Tesseract was still active, but the portal shrank rapidly.
Too small for Leviathans, only narrow enough for one or two warriors to pass at a time.
Impossible!
A wormhole made by an Infinity Stone shrinking to two meters wide?
It was like installing a Boeing jet engine that only ran at 10 km/h. Ridiculous!
"Mmm~~ kind of tastes like yellow peach… though expired yellow peach…"
Saitama burped, pulling his hand back.
His Absorption Talent could devour nearly any energy.
And now, even the primal force of space itself.
If it had been David Banner—the half-baked absorber—he'd have exploded instantly.
The limit of absorption depended on the body's strength.
A second-rate talent in Marvel…
But in Saitama's hands, after breaking his limiter, it became godlike.
The only reason he stopped—
Expired yellow peach just didn't taste good.
Don't ask why he was so sure.
Years of hitting Saturday Special Sale at the supermarket had trained him.
Even meters away, he could recognize expired yellow peach by smell.
Practice makes perfect.
"This… monster…"
Loki muttered.
The wormhole shrank further, allowing only a trickle of Chitauri.
The pressure lifted.
Now, even local police could mop up this invasion.
All that remained was to clear the scattered warriors and Leviathans.
[Ding! You have decisively changed the battlefield by shrinking the wormhole. Contribution +15E7892…]
The system chimed, points skyrocketing.
Saitama didn't care.
He just looked up at the wormhole, eyeing the swarming soldiers beyond.
"So many monsters. Guess I'll just wipe them all out."
Cracking his neck, loosening his fists, he prepared to sweep the board clean.
Far across the cosmic sea—
A battered raft drifted.
The Chitauri leader, still alive, rallied what forces remained after the nuclear strike.
"Charge! Kill every life on this planet! Wash our shame in blood!!"
He roared.
But then he saw it—
The wormhole shrinking, and that glowing bald head below… staring right at him.
Hatred boiled over.
He remembered that fleeting blur from before—
The bald figure who had passed their camp.
Now, that shadow and this man overlapped perfectly.
He swore he would crush that bald head to dust!
On Earth, the heroes were stunned.
"Saitama… what's he doing?"
"Wait—don't tell me he's going to space?"
"But… no one can survive out there…"
Steve and the others shivered.
Boom!
Before they finished speaking, Saitama turned into pure light under the sun, blasting upward!
Buildings collapsed beneath him, the Tesseract floating in the air.
Dr. Erik screamed, stunned.
But the light didn't travel far.
Suddenly—
It vanished!
Yes.
Gone!
Truly gone!
