[Ding! The World Tree consists of Nine Realms. This has been the rule since ancient times. But the strong never follow rules—they create them. As the Great Demon King of Cosmic Terror, this place has enough monsters for you to practice on. Please—open the Tenth Realm! Task Success: Reward, one Super Gift Pack! Task Failure: No punishment!]
The system prompt echoed.
"Open the Tenth Realm? Great Demon King of Cosmic Terror? Lots of people?"
Saitama tilted his cheek, a flicker of interest finally surfacing in his bored dead-fish eyes. "Sounds pretty good."
"Saitama!! Please, stop the light of destruction already!!"
The Four Warriors were close to tears.
Damn it!
This weapon was far beyond their level to interfere with. If it kept going, most of Asgard's divine power would be drained, leaving them defenseless!
This thing was killing one thousand enemies but costing eight hundred of their own!
"…Hn, guess I'll help."
The salted-fish hero finally responded. Ever used to doing good casually, Saitama didn't overthink. He walked straight toward the beam of destruction.
"How do I turn this thing off?"
He stopped before the supreme artifact, puzzled.
"You must first dispel the ice sealing the royal scepter's power! Pull out the key!" Sif pointed toward the frozen energy channel.
But with Thor and Loki locked in combat, no one could get through. It was impossible for them to intervene.
"…Too troublesome."
Saitama eyed the glowing sphere that spewed the annihilation beam.
"Why not just smash it?"
He muttered to himself, rolling up his sleeves.
"Wait—Saitama! While Thor holds Loki back, if we join forces to break the ice, there's a chance we can—"
BOOOOM—!
A deafening explosion tore through the realm.
Shockwaves erupted like a hurricane, hurling the Four Warriors away like leaves. They crashed onto the Rainbow Bridge, groaning.
Even Loki and Thor froze mid-fight, eyes wide, jaws slack.
Far ahead, the supreme artifact, the Light of Destruction—an indestructible relic that had stood for countless ages, which even Odin and Thor at their peak could not shatter—
Now bore a massive hole.
The once-blazing beam sputtered, falling apart with a dying whimper.
And atop the shattered shell stood a bald man in a cape, his fist still clenched, veins bulging.
His dead-fish eyes looked… disappointed.
Wind howled.
His cape snapped in the storm.
Loki: "..."
Thor: "..."
The Four Warriors: "..."
The supreme artifact of Asgard's Rainbow Bridge… destroyed.
—
Far away, in the void of stars, Jotunheim's army roared under Laufey's command.
Enraged, they donned ice armor, mounted winged frost dragons, and surged forward for vengeance.
But suddenly—the annihilation beam vanished.
The Frost Giant horde faltered, confused.
"What's going on?" Laufey frowned, then grinned wickedly. The divine power had been exhausted.
He raised his hand. "This is fate! For our people—CHARGE!!"
The Frost Giants roared, their beasts shrieking, their speed increasing as they stormed Asgard.
—
On the Rainbow Bridge, Thor and Loki had stopped fighting, both stunned.
The destruction beam was gone—but Asgard's strongest defense was broken.
"...It's over," Thor sighed, lowering Mjolnir and sitting heavily.
Warriors and soldiers rushed over, rallying behind Thor instinctively.
Loki, meanwhile, threw his head back in manic laughter, tears spilling down his face. "It's not over yet!!"
RUMBLE—
The ground quaked.
From the depths of space, an endless tide of Frost Giants and monstrous beasts appeared, blotting out the horizon.
At their head—Laufey, eyes glowing crimson, his army covering the skies.
The Asgardians shivered. Even Thor looked grim.
And Loki's heart sank. His perfect plan had collapsed—all because of that damned bald man!
"Hahahaha! So this is Asgard without Odin! Do you mean to oppose us with this pitiful force? You, Thor, Odin's foolish son? Or you, Loki?"
Laufey's laughter thundered.
Surrounded by the endless army, Thor and Loki's faces turned ashen.
Then—
A quiet voice scratched the silence.
"…Um, could I just knock you all down real quick? I have something I'd like to say…"
The salted-fish hero scratched his cheek awkwardly.
