Chapter 98 - Chapter 98: Do You Also Want to Be My Brother?

Loki: "..."

Loki thought: Can you at least let me finish my words? I'm still the King of Asgard now! Even if I'm the weakest, I still have my pride…

Things had spiraled beyond his control.

Thor hadn't died—instead, a man named Saitama had picked up Mjolnir! That meant he had gained Odin's recognition!

If Thor returned to Asgard with Saitama at his side… what about him?

Loki had to act. He had to do something—something big enough to prove to Odin that he was the true king!

His despairing gaze turned toward the eternally frozen realm.

Jotunheim!

Even the King of Frost Giants had never managed to fully conquer and destroy it!

Now was the time to prove himself!

He would show that he was the one truly worthy of reverence—the rightful King!

And because of Saitama's appearance, the original path of history had already changed.

Loki had no time to scheme with Laufey—instead, he directly moved to subjugate the Frost Giants.

Even Heimdall, who should have punished him for breaking treaties and releasing the Four Tomb Warriors, had no time to intervene.

Everything was moving too fast!

"I must destroy Jotunheim!"

Resolute, Loki thrust the scepter of royal authority into the energy channel at the end of the Bifrost!

Hummm—

Endless waves of icy energy surged out, spreading in all directions.

Frost-blue light burst from the scepter, enclosing the energy to prevent interference.

Empowered by the staff, the Bifrost blazed with dazzling brilliance, its radiant colors illuminating the Asgardian sky.

The great hall at the far end shook, and Mjolnir itself quivered.

Blinding beams of frozen light condensed, piercing through the cosmos—

And struck Jotunheim!

On Earth.

The Destroyer's obliteration left silence for a moment, followed by cheers of excitement.

Even Fury, with cold sweat running down his back, forced a strained smile.

"This guy… Saitama…"

Sif and the Warriors Three stared at him in awe.

Even Thor himself was shaken to the core.

"This hammer's no good. You can have it back."

Saitama casually tossed Mjolnir back.

Thor instinctively caught it—and this time… it felt light in his hands.

The god of thunder had regained Odin's recognition.

Even in his slumber, Odin could feel Thor's growth across the stars.

This had been his plan all along: Asgard would one day pass to Thor.

From the sky, endless frost fell as Thor transformed.

His battle armor gleamed, scarlet cape flowing, his handsome figure restored in godly splendor.

"Thank you, Saitama—my brother!"

Thor roared with confidence, laughter booming once more.

Saitama gave no reply. Too many people already wanted to call him "brother." He just wanted a quiet life as a hero for fun.

"Heimdall! I need you!!"

Thor shouted with all his might.

The skies swirled, colorful light gathering and descending.

Because of the altered fate, Heimdall had not been frozen by Loki—he could hear the call clearly.

A colossal beam of rainbow light fell—not only upon Thor and his companions, but upon one absentminded bald man too.

"Huh? What's this?"

Saitama blinked as the light engulfed him.

The next instant, Thor, Sif, the Warriors Three—

And Saitama—

Were gone.

"W-what just happened? Where's Saitama?!" Fury stammered.

"They… vanished?"

Coulson swallowed hard.

Asgard.

The golden realm, at the end of the Bifrost.

"Loki! You must stop this!"

Heimdall, sword in hand, roared as he confronted Loki.

This madman was using the royal staff to annihilate Jotunheim!

This act defied Odin's law.

Odin hadn't spared Jotunheim out of weakness, but to preserve balance among the Nine Realms. Endless slaughter would only shatter peace.

That was why Odin had adopted Laufey's son, Loki, raising him as his own, fostering a bond between him and Thor.

His plan had been clear: Thor would inherit Asgard, and Loki would inherit Jotunheim.

Thus ending war forever.

But now Loki's ambition had broken that balance.

"Do you dare defy Odin's will, Heimdall? Will you betray Asgard?"

Loki sneered, arrogance consuming him.

"No! I will stop you from committing this sin!"

Heimdall's roar shook the hall as he slashed with his great sword.

But Loki's skin shimmered with frost, his bloodline awakening.

In a flash, Heimdall was frozen solid, transformed into a crystal statue.

"You cannot stop me! I will do what none of you ever could!!"

Loki's manic laughter echoed.

He was consumed by obsession.

Jotunheim must be destroyed.

In the frozen wastes of Jotunheim, the beam of the Bifrost struck.

Ancient glaciers shattered instantly, exploding into fragments.

Countless Frost Giants disintegrated into dust before they could even scream.

"DAMN YOU, ODIN!!!"

Laufey's roar shook the realm, his eyes blazing red.

Icy power surged, binding him to his people, desperately trying to resist the annihilation.

But the light of destruction bore down, unstoppable.
