Although Sakura's chakra control was only at the blue level—not as inherently powerful as the Kekkei Genkai abilities that made one combat-ready upon awakening—in Ryūsei's eyes, her mastery over chakra was in no way inferior to the red-tiered Kekkei Genkai.

This talent had completely transformed Ryūsei's ninjutsu aptitude, elevating him from an ordinary person to a genius.

By the time he was in his third year, Ryūsei had already mastered all the ninjutsu his parents had left behind.

Even the techniques he had to practice in secret—like the Rasengan and its combination with the Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique to form the Spiral Water Vortex—were fully mastered by his sixth year.

Before even graduating, thanks to this innate ability, he had already learned several ninjutsu, including at least two B-rank and two A-rank techniques.

All of this was due to his exceptional chakra control and the Shadow Clone Technique.

With both talent and relentless dedication, the only thing holding Ryūsei back was the lack of more advanced ninjutsu scrolls.

Otherwise, he would have mastered even more techniques by now.

As Ryūsei adjusted his colored contact lenses to ensure they were in place, Kurenai smiled warmly and said, "Your performance today has made me very proud. Since we still have time, I'll take you on a mission, and afterward, I'll treat you all to barbecue."

With that, Kurenai seamlessly transition from a strict instructor to an approachable older sister, casually draping an arm over Hinata's shoulders as she walked alongside the three genin.

Along the way, curiosity got the better of her, and she asked, "Ryūsei, how did you develop that hand seal-less Water Release technique?"

Ryūsei replied thoughtfully, "Inspiration, I suppose. From my father's ninja journals, I learned that wall-walking is achieved by concentrating chakra in one's feet. After experimenting, I realized I could perfectly control the flow of my chakra. Maybe that's why none of the ninjutsu scrolls my parents left behind posed any difficulty for me. Later, in school, I saw a picture of a tornado in a textbook. The swirling winds gave me a bold idea—what if I could gather chakra in my palm, solidify it into a rotating form, and then merge it with wind or water to create a tornado or a water vortex? After testing it, I found that gathering chakra wasn't hard. But fusing the rotating chakra with water failed countless times. It wasn't until a few months ago that I finally succeeded."

"...Is this what genius-level inspiration looks like?" Hearing Ryūsei's explanation, Kurenai, Shino, and even Hinata—who deeply admired Ryūsei—were left speechless.

The principle Ryūsei described sounded simple. Their brains told them, "I get it, I've learned it!"

But their hands protested, "No, you haven't!"

Only a prodigy like Ryūsei could independently develop such a seal-less ninjutsu.

However, when Kurenai heard Ryūsei's method of condensing chakra, a sudden realization struck her. She recalled a nearly legendary seal-less technique and couldn't help but ask, "Ryūsei, have you heard of the Rasengan?"

Hearing this, Ryūsei inwardly smiled—his plan was working.

'The perfect backer has been found!'

Outwardly, however, he feigned confusion. "The Rasengan?"

Kurenai nodded, explaining, "The Rasengan is an A-rank ninjutsu developed by the Fourth Hokage. It's also a seal-less technique."

As she recalled the details, she continued, "It involves forming a spinning sphere of chakra in the palm of one's hand. The way you compress and rotate chakra seems very similar."

"A chakra sphere?" Ryūsei pretended to ponder before raising his hand. A swirling blue vortex of chakra materialized in his palm.

The vortex grew denser, but instead of forming a perfect sphere, it took the shape of a miniature blue tornado.

Then, abruptly, the tornado compressed into a ball, spinning rapidly for a few seconds before exploding into a gust of wind that sent everyone's clothes fluttering.

Though it had "failed," Ryūsei's face lit up with excitement. "Kurenai-sensei, this method seems viable!"

"Don't experiment recklessly. Safety first," Kurenai chided gently, patting his shoulder. Then, with confidence, she added, "I happen to know one of the Fourth Hokage's students. I'll ask about the Rasengan's principles for you."

"There's no need, Kurenai-sensei," Ryūsei declared with unwavering confidence. "Just knowing it's a high-speed rotating chakra sphere is enough. I will master it."

At that moment, Ryūsei seemed to radiate brilliance.

Shino and Hinata, witnessing his unshakable self-assurance, once again felt the vast gap between themselves and him.

Kurenai, meanwhile, was momentarily stunned by Ryūsei's aura.

She had to admit—this twelve-year-old boy, already as tall as her, had just struck her as incredibly cool.

No wonder Kakashi was so popular back in school.

This kind of charisma was lethally effective on girls.

Rather than dampening his enthusiasm, Kurenai simply smiled and advised, "Then be careful when practicing. It's best to use shadow clones as support."

"Understood, Kurenai-sensei," Ryūsei replied obediently, his respectful demeanor further endearing him to her.

Right now, Ryūsei was Kurenai's most treasured student.

And she was certain he would remain her proudest in the future.

---

On the way to the Hokage's office, Ryūsei summoned a virtual panel—visible only to him—to inspect the blue orb he had obtained from Kurenai.

The moment he focused on it, the orb's information appeared.

[Illusion Specialist (Blue)]

Seeing this, Ryūsei's eyes gleamed with excitement.

With Sakura as an example, it was obvious that "Illusion Specialist" was another innate talent.

If something like chakra control could drop, then illusion mastery wasn't surprising.

Among the jonin instructors, Kurenai might not stand out as prominently as elite jonin like Hatake Kakashi, Sarutobi Asuma, or Might Guy, but compared to most others, she was undoubtedly exceptional.

In Konoha, she was renowned as a master of genjutsu.

Her underwhelming performance in the original story was simply because her opponents were all monstrously overpowered.

Uchiha Itachi was a genjutsu master second only to Uchiha Shisui, while Yakumo Kurama was a once-in-generations prodigy of the Kurama clan—essentially the Aizen of the Naruto world.

Against such foes, Kurenai, who specialized solely in genjutsu, never stood a chance.

But for an ordinary shinobi without a Kekkei Genkai, she had reached the pinnacle of what was possible.

"Illusion Specialist" was the perfect embodiment of her talent.

By fusing this orb, Ryūsei would become a genjutsu genius—even without the Sharingan.

This kind of transformative ability…

Undoubtedly, "Illusion Specialist" was among the rarest of blue-tier talents, possibly even rivaling some Kekkei Genkai.

Without hesitation, Ryūsei absorbed it.

The orb dissolved into a stream of light, merging into his body.

Just like when he had fused the Sharingan, there were no outward or internal changes.

Only when he began learning genjutsu would he notice the difference.
