"Spiral Water Tornado!"
The crashing wave of water was like a basin being overturned, threatening to drench Ryūsei entirely.
Yet, just as the water was about to pour over his raised palm and engulf him completely—
The spreading currents suddenly twisted, as if drawn by a powerful magnet, converging rapidly toward Ryūsei's hand.
A terrifying rotational force manifested out of thin air, causing the gathered water to spiral violently. In the blink of an eye, a massive water tornado took shape.
The moment it formed, Ryūsei hurled it forward, sending it barreling toward Kurenai.
Though it was a water tornado, it moved like a colossal top, carving a deep trench into the ground as it advanced.
The terrifying suction force uprooted nearby plants and flowers, even causing Kurenai's body to sway slightly forward.
Faced with the oncoming water tornado, Kurenai—who specialized solely in genjutsu—had no means of direct resistance. Like before, she could only rely on her Body Flicker Technique to evade.
The massive water tornado missed its target, but as it plowed into the forest, it tore through rows of trees, leaving the earth in utter disarray.
Aside from Kurenai, Hinata and Shino, who had been hiding among the trees, felt their understanding of the world being rewritten.
Having never witnessed a Tailed Beast's power before, they had certainly never seen a ninjutsu of this magnitude.
And what was even more terrifying was that such a powerful technique was…
"A hand-seal-less water release!"
Watching Ryūsei dispel his shadow clone while panting heavily, Kurenai couldn't help but see a familiar shadow in him at that moment.
That shadow was none other than Hatake Kakashi.
At twelve years old, Kakashi had developed the A-rank lightning release technique—Chidori.
And now, Ryūsei had created a hand-seal-less water release.
Kurenai was absolutely certain—she had never seen or even heard of such a water release before.
Just yesterday, she had gone out of her way to gather information on her three students.
She knew about Ryūsei's background and experiences.
'This water release couldn't have been something passed down by his parents. As for someone else teaching it to him? That was even more impossible. If anyone in the village knew such a water release, they would have been famous already. So there was only one possibility—Ryūsei had developed it himself. Is this the world of a true genius?' Kurenai thought to herself.
Fortunately, Ryūsei lacked combat experience. If he had landed that attack on her, she would have been seriously injured.
Even a glancing blow would have left her in a sorry state.
Yet, the thought that such a genius was her student filled her with joy. Her gaze toward Ryūsei was now one of admiration, as if she were beholding a priceless treasure.
At the same time, Kurenai swiftly formed hand seals.
Powerful Yin Release chakra invaded Ryūsei's mind.
In an instant, the previously "exhausted" Ryūsei stiffened, his body locking up as if bound by invisible restraints.
From Ryūsei's perspective, he was indeed bound.
A tree materialized behind him out of nowhere, its vines coiling around him like tentacles, pinning him against the trunk.
This technique was none other than—Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death!
Yet, Ryūsei merely smirked, completely unfazed.
"Sensei, you've already lost."
"Hm?"
Having temporarily subdued Ryūsei with genjutsu, Kurenai had been about to turn her attention to the others when his words gave her pause.
Then, as if realizing something, she quickly looked down at her waist.
The three bells that had been hanging there were gone.
Kurenai's expression shifted slightly as she mentally replayed the earlier events. It didn't take long for her to figure out exactly when the bells had been taken.
With a resigned sigh, she released Ryūsei from the genjutsu.
"No wonder you charged at me so openly. This was your team's strategy all along, wasn't it?"
"Exactly." Ryūsei glanced toward Hinata and Shino as they emerged from the trees, his confident grin widening.
"This water release is a hand-seal-less ninjutsu I developed myself. But I never believed it would be enough to defeat you, Kurenai-sensei—an elite jounin. So my role was to keep your attention focused entirely on me, while Shino took the bells."
As soon as he finished speaking, Shino produced the three bells, tossing two of them to Ryūsei and Hinata.
Shino's method of stealing the bells had been simple—using his insects.
With Kurenai's attention entirely on Ryūsei and no sensory techniques active, she had been completely unaware of the bugs' approach.
Clap, clap, clap—
Kurenai applauded, her praise genuine.
"An excellent strategy. I admit defeat."
Whoosh—
The moment the words left her mouth, a blue light flickered around her.
A beam of blue energy shot out from her body, landing on the nearby ground and forming a hovering blue orb.
Seeing this, Ryūsei was momentarily stunned before excitement surged within him.
'I got a drop!'
The game system's loot mechanic did trigger upon achieving "victory," even if it was just a verbal concession.
Kurenai's acknowledgment of defeat had yielded a blue orb—this was a lucky roll!
A few seconds later, the orb automatically flew toward Ryūsei, merging into his body.
Rather than immediately checking his inventory, Ryūsei first deactivated his Sharingan, blinking a few times to ensure his tinted contact lenses hadn't shifted.
Yes—Ryūsei had awakened the Sharingan.
Six months ago, during an intense training session, Ryūsei had entered a state of absolute focus.
When he snapped out of it, the world before him had changed drastically. His dynamic vision had sharpened to an insane degree—he could even track and slow down the fluttering of a fly's wings.
At that moment, he knew—his Sharingan had awakened.
And not just the basic form—Ryūsei had awakened the Two Tomoe Sharingan right from the start.
Whether it was due to his extraordinary mental energy or the influence of Asura's chakra, he wasn't sure.
The ninjutsu Ryūsei had been secretly practicing this past year was none other than—the Rasengan!
The Spiral Water Tornado he had just used was a combination technique—Rasengan + Great Waterfall Technique.
As one of Naruto's signature moves, the Rasengan was the only A-rank, hand-seal-less ninjutsu in the original series whose principles and training stages were fully explained.
Thus, after transmigrating, Ryūsei had immediately written down the Rasengan's training method before his memories could fade.
Before his cheat system awakened, he had believed this would be the strongest ninjutsu he could ever hope to learn.
As for its advanced forms like the Rasenshuriken or the various "colored orbs," Ryūsei had never even considered them.
But after awakening his system and obtaining Asura's chakra from Naruto, Ryūsei had even more reason to master the Rasengan.
Like the Multi Shadow Clone Technique, the Rasengan was perfect for someone with the Sage's Body.
While others could only use such powerful techniques a few times, Naruto could spam them endlessly—even having his clones use them in tandem.
That kind of overwhelming pressure was simply too much for opponents of the same level.
Thus, after fusing with Asura's chakra, Ryūsei had secretly begun training in the Rasengan.
Unfortunately, his natural talent was mediocre—he had struggled even with the first stage of Rasengan training.
That was, until he obtained a certain drop that boosted his abilities like a cheat code.
That drop was—chakra control, obtained from Sakura!
