Darrell's POV
"Where is she?" I asked.
Half the guards in the quarters were outside. I want to believe the other half followed her wherever she went…
"Alpha, Lady Larrissa stepped out briefly…."
"Where?" I asked.
I told them to watch over her. They should know everywhere she went and at what time and to see who…
The guard answering my questions seemed very clueless about what was happening…
"You don't know where she went? Is that what you're trying to say?!"
He looked unsettled, almost like he was trying to decide whether or not to tell me where Larrussa went…
"My lord…."
Larrissa approached with an entourage of guards right behind her.
Relief washed over me, seeing that she was safe and sound. Where did she go?
"Where were you?"
"I wanted to get some fresh air. It's been really exhausting staying indoors. Is everything alright?"
I regarded her in silence, it must be really hard to stay indoors all day.
I made that order for her safety and nothing else.
