The next day, the sun rose over Karakura Town. At the Ishida family manor, a young glasses wearing man stood. He wore a white dress shirt, grey pants and black shoes, his whole being seemed to be focused on what was on the table.
Five vials. Three silver hilts and one all white cape. And a number of items and artifacts related to the mystical. These objects were neatly laid before the Quincy on a pine wood table.
Uryu felt his insides turn. The items before him were special, in many ways that he could not even begin to describe.
"Stop hesitating. I did not retrieve my fathers tools for you to stare at them like a display in a museum." Ryuken stepped into the library, the room housed several books that lined the walls, each were tailored to a specific occult field.
"For someone who stopped being a Quincy , you handle everything with the utmost care and precision, Ryuken. What happened to that, might I ask?" The dark haired young man's eyes narrowed, as his father approached him
"It seems I didn't only raise a disrespectful boy, but a hypocritical one as well. Uh, I believe the better question son, would be what happened to our deal?" Standing next to his son, Ryuken looked down solemnly at the items before him.
His son's eyes widened for an instance as looked at the older Quincy, he stopped looking at his father. "What I am doing now is simply working to defeat a greater evil, that being an ex-soul reaper. Before you lecture me, father. Ichigo while he may play the part of an agent of the Soul Society, they will never accept him fully, a Hollow lives within him. And as long as that exists he can never be a 'real' Soul Reaper in their eyes."
Quickly gazing at the posture of his son Ryuken sighed, "Ah, that settles the issue then. Those are your grandfather's tools. Please be careful and bring them back in one piece." The white haired older man left. The rising sun did not bring Uryu peace or comfort, it reminded him of that place. He tightened his hands into fists and applied pressure on his teeth, a seething hatred welled up from within him.
"Stay alive you bastard! The only one who can kill you is me!" Imagining the vile acts the squad twelve captain committed made the young man want to shoot him down even more, but he calmed down.
The rage dissipated, his eyes softened. "Be right there soon guys." The Quincy gathered his items, his destination would be a certain candy shop.
...
"Oh, Uryu Ishida, what a pleasure as always. Are you in the market for some of my latest candy creations?" Urahara giggled behind his folding fan.
"No. Send me to the Soul Society, I need to train and those new captains seem to be the best candidates to use as a milestone." The two men sat down on the floor, in the shop's back room, a light bulb hung overhead. Beside the blue eyed young man stood a pair of royal blue and alabaster suit cases.
Following the owner's preferred color the walls were painted a dull green.
Placing his folding fan down Urahara, looked directly into the eyes of the Quincy. The pressure the younger man felt was suffocating, it was not the same suffocation caused by Spiritual Pressure. Feeling as though the invisible weight increased to unbearable, he broke eye contact.
"Enough Kisuke, let the kid do what he wants, beside I want to see these new guys too." In stepped the beautiful Yoruichi, her purple hair cascaded behind her down to her waist. She was a woman of average height, however she had an athletic figure, dark skin contrasted by golden cat like eyes.
She wore a crop top that exposed her toned abdomen to the elements, tight ripped jeans hugged the woman's muscular legs. This woman once held the position of captain and head of one of the five noble clans of soul society.
"Yes, ma'am. And I apologize for the stare down earlier, I just wanted to see if you were serious or not." The blond man chuckled while the dark skinned woman sat down and playfully punched his shoulder. He wondered if the two were simply just, friends or perhaps had an even closer relationship.
'Now that I remember, ever since we became a team Urahara and Yoruichi have been our pseudo parental figures.'
"Are you still in there?" Pain shot through Quincy, the dark skinned woman flicked him on the forehead.
"Ouch, yes! Did you really have to do that?" Rubbing the spot on his head, Uryu looked at the woman with a pouting expression. Said woman looked away, staring off into a random direction.
"Okay, okay, stop it you two. Come on now, I'll get everything ready for the both of you." The shop owner gestured for the two to follow, his clogs making a clack sound.
...
Moments later the two stepped out of a portal, looking around the two recognized the rare stone that made up the buildings and the unique yellow tiling, of the home of the Soul Reapers. The duo exited the portal in an alleyway, the first breath Uryu took was amazing, Reishi, spiritual matter made up the entirety of Soul Society.
To a Quincy like him the world of Shinigami was a paradise, every part of himself felt invigorated, the sky was decorated by soft clouds. The yellow rays from the sun reflected on everything in the world, bringing color and heat
"Ah, alright Ishida, who's first on your list?" Stretching her arms beside him, the ex-captain asked.
"Hmm, the new captain of Squad Nine, Kevin Levin."
Yoruichi tilted her head to the side, "Okay, what does he do and what exactly do you need his help for training anyway?"
Shifting the bag on his back, Uryu answered, "He's an energy and matter absorber similar to myself in all respects, if anyone can help me improve it has to be him."
"Hmm, interesting. Really interesting. Alright let's head there right now!" Before he could do anything the woman grabbed him by his wrist and they took to the air, flying at high speeds towards the Squad Nine barracks. Any shout of protest was useless as the wailing winds were louder in their display.
The trip was not a long one, after all the woman he travelled with was the Flash Goddess, one of the fastest Soul Reapers on record. Despite that it seemed like the woman wanted to test out her latest ally's strength.
Uryu was thrown onto a levitating platform, Yoruichi did not stop her momentum though, instead she lashed out with a kick aimed directly at the highest level of the building.
Each second the gap between her and the building closed, a few meters before her foot struck the roof a shockwave roared out. Nearby Soul Reapers toppled over as they felt the after effects hit them, many looked to the sky in confusion to why a former noble would attack a squad base.
"Oh? You're good." Her eyes flashed yellow for an instance, bright golden lightening cloaked her body, forcing her hair to stand at attention. With a flash the next moment, she disappeared, using her high speed, and perception the Shihoin clan princess got a good look at her would be target.
He wore a sleeveless Haori, underneath it however was an all black and silver metal armored suit that hugged his body. The Roman numeral for eleven was proudly displayed on his chest, his hair and eyes were as dark as his suit. He took to the air not with Reishi manipulation, but with two pairs of wings, one pair looked like blue moth wings, the other was boney in their make up.
Four horns extended from his head, each currently blazing with blue flames.
"Thanks for the compliment, but I got this job barely even two days ago and I do not want to have this be the first thing to remember me for." Flapping his wings the newest became a blur, the two tracked each other engaging in an aerial duel, each time they met tens of punches, kicks and blocks would be thrown. What the observers from below saw was two ribbons, one yellow, the other black meet and separated over a dozen times from what they could see.
The two monsters had ugly smiles.
To keep damage to a minimum, they stuck to melee combat. Yoruichi was a master at controlling spiritual energy, her knowledge on how it operated and related to the body was vast. Her speed was due to how she aimed her spiritual energy to her leg muscles, bones, internal organs and then brain. This control combined with her martial arts she knew she was fearsome.
She wrapped her hand in lightning and disappeared.
She reappeared behind Kevin, she aimed a diagonal slash at one of his wings. Before she could the blue wing contorted painfully, catching her hand.
Refusing to panic she planted her feet into a Reishi foothold, using her remaining momentum she spun like a golden tornado throwing the captain away. Sadly he regained his footing, following that a dull blue light covered the alien hybrid's body.
A screeching noise similar to shattering glass resonated out, only to be over shadowed as three copies of dark haired captain all flew at the woman. A maniac-like smile appeared on her face, the intensity of the lightning that surrounded her increased.
A volley of azure arrows struck the clones, the original who remained in his original position as well as the purple haired woman looked shocked.
"Sorry for cutting in, but I would be a fool to let an opportunity like this slip away from me." Uryu stood on a platform made from Reishi, his body was cloaked by his grandfather's white cape.
"A three way rumble huh? Alright then, let's change the stage though." Kevin chuckled as his clones flew around the trio, reality shattered. The trio arrived in a place of rolling fields and small trees that were bathed in eternal night.
"Teleportation, huh? Cheap trick." The Flash Goddess threw a jab at her opponent.
"Don't complain to me for your sorry skil-" Arrows fired off in the direction of both of the original fighters. "Rude." The alien's wings flapped as he evaded, the golden eyed woman disappearing as well.
"This is a battlefield, when has an opponent ever given you a warning?" From within his cloak Uryu pulled out a thin silver colored rectangular object.
The weapon he held was dubbed Seele Schneider, a silver instrument that seemed to come alive as his spiritual energy mixed with the surrounding Reishi entered it. Kevin and Yoruichi threw a yellow lightning spear and blue fireball toward him respectively, jumping off of his platform toward the attacks he unleashed multiple dual handed slashes.
His weapon had created a blue saber from the power that it absorbed.
"That sword of yours, looks cool, mind sharing with class on what it does?" Adorning his face was smirk, playful banter was more Ben's forte, but Kevin did delve into it from time to time.
"High frequency blade. There's your answer." The Quincy's eyes darted from the alien to the lightning-cloaked woman.
"Oh, I get it that things are supposed to help you cut down guys with really bulky defenses, am I right? Don't need to answer-" Disappearing from the archer's field of view, Yoruichi reappeared next to him. "After all, speed is my game."
She threw a punch aimed at his kidney.
The young man could perform any defensive actions in time, instead his cloak became as hard as diamonds.
A shockwave resounded due to the force exerted by the dark skinned woman, this set Uryu flying a distance back.
Looking down at her fist the Flash Goddess noticed her knuckles were bruised slowly taking on the same color as her hair.
"That thing's really tough, huh, pretty impressive." Pride welled up within her, her lightening aura intensified causing wind to stir up within the quiet world. Shadows popped up from the ground, however they coiled around each of her limbs.
Kevin rose from a patch of shadows before her.
"Looks like I caught a cat, now what type of bag would you like?"
