Chapter 5 - Chapter — 4

As Charlotte and Markus walked out of the Drop ship, Markus immediately frowned at the gathering of teenagers besides the drop ship.

Aside from the commotion and yelling that they were doing, which would probably give our location away to the grounders if they weren't already watching—I groaned as I saw the reason for it.

At the very centre of encirclement made up of the 100, Murphy walked up to a frightened Wells with an orange flame dancing above Murphy's hand.

' Ah fuck.' He thought, seeing and hearing Clarke who was held back by another boy screaming.

" Murphy! Stop!"

That quickly pissed him off, so without thinking he grunted as his led him towards Clarke, not caring that much for the boy about to be roasted.

He got right up to Clarke's captor with a few strides and with no fanfare he threw a straight jab at the boy jaw, quickly toppling him down to the ground unconscious.

Clarke feeling no hands on her looked up at him in surprise before quickly running to the two boys confrontation, she put herself back facing Wells and eyes on Murphy with a defiant glare.

" Murphy stop, aren't you satisfied that two of us already dead, now you want to kill wells?" Clarke asked with mirth in her voice, not fearing the flame on the slowly encroaching boy's hand.

That question seemed to pull Murphy out of his powerhigh as Markus even noticed a glimmer of guilt from Murphy's eyes, though that was quickly replaced by a mad glare as Murphy made movements to throw the flame towards Clarke.

But before Murphy could, he found his hand unmoving before it was twisted behind his back and as he was about to cry out from pain he found himself thrown into the metal walls of the Drop ship–bumping his head on collision and dropping with a thud to the ground.

Everyones eyes quickly steered to the culprit—Markus as he held a scowl of anger as he looked down upon Murphy who had a gash on his head bleeding blood.

He didn't think much of him as he settled his glare towards the watching company around him.

"Anyone else that wants to act like an uncultured swine?!" Markus bellowed, adrenaline and anger that didn't feel natural driving him.

He saw some of those watching look down and others taking steps back, not wanting to agitate the boy that took down two unsuspecting people.

" Good." Markus muttered, in a low voice that everyone definitely heard due to how quiet it had gotten.

Markus seeing no more challengers looked back at Clarke, only to be hit with a curious sight.

Clarke was crouching down besides Wells, who had apparently sprained an ankle.

That wasn't the curious thing though, what was– was that she had her hand above Wells ankle, a soft golden glow emanating from it towards the ankle.

Seconds passed and she removed her hand with a bit of a dazed look which quickly evaporated as her eyes met his.

She gave Markus an appreciative smile and nod which Markus returned before watching her walk up with a frown towards Murphy.

She did the same thing as she had done moments ago towards the gash on Murphy, this time a bit hesitantly from healing the boy that had just about to try and burn her, but her morals won over her and she started healing him.

Markus watched with a curious frown as the gash slowly started knitting itself together before disappearing with not even a scar to show it existed.

' Healing...a useful ability in this type of world and of course the person that has it had to be the main character of this world.' Markus thought amusingly before shaking his head, looking besides him where Charlotte had scurried towards unnoticed to him.

Markus didn't think much of it as he saw a couple people walking up to them.

Bellamy and her sister Octavia walked up to him, Markus noticed the cheeky smile that the latter had as she looked at him as she opened her mouth.

" How about you rescue me next?" Octavia asked, her voice a little husky as her eyes met his in that daring way of hers he had only seen on screen.

" I just might." Markus replied, putting the thought out of mind as he gave her a dismissively charming smile.

Hearing that Octavia beamed a bit, her smile widening as Bellamy watching all this grunted looking at his sister.

Markus deciding that he didn't want any of that, nor to butt heads with Bellamy this early on, walked away from the encirclement that started thinning, leaving Clarke and the others while he went to finish up what he started.

And to his luck, he didn't need to look or search that far before he found his target's.

He fought off a grin as he looked down besides him, catching Charlotte's eyes as she threaded besides him.

The girl immediately looked away as their eyes met for a moment, Markus seeing this snorted with a small smile before walking up to two girls who seemed to be collecting dry wood, probably to start a fire while able.

The girls were in close proximity to each other and far away from any onlookers that nobody would hear them speak.

The shorter girl seeing them walk up to them seemed to immediately put up guards, shifting her position to be infront of the other.

Both of them looked on at him in suspicion as he stopped a good distance away from them.

" Can I help you?" The shorter one asked, her dark hair tussling down her face that bore wariness.

The other girl, dirty blonde haired looked on at them with a bit of fear that slightly lessened when she looked down at Charlotte besides him.

" Actually, I think we can help each other." Markus said, putting his hope in his natural charm and [Social Talent[3]].
