Done with looking through his ability and contemplating how he could work around it to not seem like a genocidal maniac to others, Markus finally decided to be done with his system.
To do that, he needed to immediately use the talent points he had before looking through his natural talents information.
Now though he had the dilemma of choosing how he went about that.
He could spend all three of the point for a single more powerful talent, spend two for a better chance a better talent and the remaining one or simply use each point individually.
He was a bit torn on the second option for a minute, wanting to get the best out of this chance instead of putting all his eggs on one basket.
But the allure of obtaining three talents got the best of him.
He would obtain three chances of obtaining a random talent and in those three tries he could obtain a talent that could actually help him along with a chance of it being higher tiered.
So making up his mind and praying to whatever deities may have heard him, he mentally commanded the system to use all three points individually and waited with bated breath before three screens materialised.
[—Ding! You've Drawn the Talent – Social Talent[3] - Grants the user a sort of know-how on steering conversations and reading through people, allowing them to more Intunely feel the state of emotions of those around him or conversing with.]
[—Ding! You've Drawn the Talent – Sword Talent[3] - Grants the user an innate affinity for Swordsmanship, allowing them to glean into the art instinctively while also granting a 300% boost to learning Swordsmanship.]
[—Ding! You've Drawn the Talent – Growth[5] - Grants Rapid Adaption 5X more potent than what is naturally possible, increased learning factor of the same multiplier.]
And there it was, the fruit of his gamble.
Markus breathed in a sigh of relief, happy that his bid had actually worked out for the better.
The talents he obtained were exactly what he needed right now.
Except Social Talent, he didn't know what to do with that one yet but he knew that it would come in handy with the group of hormonal teens around him.
And already he felt the effects, mostly in his thought process. He felt a sudden need to hold a blade, to cleave and dance with it in one as instinct guided him in forms he didn't know of.
[—Ding! Growth[5] is Synergizing with Sword Talent [3]!]
' Huh?' He wondered befuddled at the sudden popup.
[—Ding! Sword Talent[3] Gains a +2 to its tier anytime it is used so long as the user has the talent Growth[5]-]
" What?"
He shook his head, surprise for a moment before quickly opening his status for the second time and saw the change.

There was an extra addition to his Sword Talent Skill.
But just as soon as he saw it, it immediately disappeared.
Blinking away at that he remembered that he needed to have some intention to something relating to swords for the synergy to happen, just like he had been feeling the sudden urge to hold a sword and practice.
' This synergy will help me out greatly if I'm to train fast enough to be competent.'
Excited at the unexpected boon that his newest talents brought him, he finally stood.
Finally setting his eyes back into the chaos that were teenagers.
Already he could see them playing, no care in sight for any predators that could still walk these woods.
He didn't blame them though, after all they had all been taught that nothing could have survived earth after the nuclear waves.
So stilling himself for what was to come, he gracefully walked up to them.
He had a rough outline of what he wanted out of this life aside from surviving. And he wouldn't get that by just staying still in a forest inhabited by grounders.
As soon as he walked up to the sight of the hundred he paused.
Aside from the chaos that Markus expected, he found that aside from partying, some grouped up, and all those that grouped up were all doing the same thing.
Experimenting with their powers.
He saw a girl holding a flame on her palm as everyone stared at her in amazement.
Others instead of that were seemingly rivaling at their powers, using them as party tricks.
' Well fuck me.' Markus thought sighing to himself before he side noticed something.
Inside their drop ship he saw someone, at the very corner holding themselves together.
' Is that?'
He, intrigued suddenly saw himself walking inside, concentrated on the small figure inside.
He didn't stop until he was only a feet away from them.
" Until when are you gonna stay here?" Markus asked, staring at the girl holding her knee's with her head down.
"Hey." Markus muttered, staring at the young girl that must have been 4 year's younger than him." What's your name?"
".... Charlotte." She muttered, mustering enough courage to look up at him.
"Nice to meet you Charlotte, I'm Markus." He said, smiling genuinely for the first time since he landed" How about you come with me Charlotte, I can protect and help you."
To his words he saw Charlotte's eyes perk up, staring at him as he waited for a couple of seconds in anticipation he didn't realise he had.
"....Okay." Charlotte finally said, shakingly standing as she looked up at him with her beady eyes.
" Okay." Markus parroted, gesturing for her to take the lead as he walked behind her after.
' That's one ally down.' He thought, a smile gracing his face as multiple thoughts went through his head.
And just as they got out of the drop ship, trouble was waiting for him.
