As I made my way back to the pack, my mind was consumed by Frank's condition. The thought of him lying there, slowly being eaten away by the poison, gnawed at me. MoonPetal… it was the only antidote, and yet it felt as though the full moon was a lifetime away. I had to figure something out, but every solution seemed just out of reach. I couldn't lose him. Not now.
The moment I arrived at the packhouse, I was met with the usual rush of attendants, each trying to make sure I had everything I needed. It was irritating, but I didn't have the energy to push them away. I was led to my chambers, where I took a hot bath, letting the water momentarily soothe the tension in my muscles. But my mind never stopped. I kept going over every possible scenario, every potential solution.
I needed that MoonPetal. But where was I supposed to find a virgin to pick it? And even then, could we make it in time?
