Aurora was watching TV. She was watching the new superhero movie "THE ELECTRIC SLAYER" when her daughter jumped onto the couch and nuzzled close to her mother.
"So Mom!" The girl squeaked, "What happened when you and Elliot were forced together?" Aurora looked at her daughter and giggled, pausing the movie and changing her seating position to face her daughter.
"Can you guess?" Aurora said, her face filled with amusement. "Did you two do the project?" her daughter said, guessing what happened.
"Close, but not quite… here's what happened:"

"So, where are we going to do the project?" Elliot asked, his face was stoic, he was determined to get this over with so that we could go our separate ways… Me too, Elliot… Me too.
"Your house, why not… just know that I am capable of breaking bones, so don't try anything funny," I warned.
I chose his house because I want to keep what's going on in my house a secret… no one can know about how they treat me… or else…
My mind kept racing between situations, ones where I get bullied, ones that the boys will try to seem understanding to make me "fall" for them… ones where I am exploited… I can't let people know…Later, after school, I arrived at Elliot's house after following him, and we both didn't react much, especially since I was going to a boy's house, with him, ALONE! So I didn't want to raise suspicions.
I went into his house, it was nice, it felt bright and comfortable, the decor had paintings and other stuff. He went into the living room and told me to wait there while he got something from his room.
This house is nice… cosy even… surprised that he even had a house, I thought it would be a dirty apartment that smelled like fish.
But as I was looking around, I heard some thuds on the floor; they were coming fast, then they stopped.
I walked to the door that which the sound came, and before I could walk through the open door, a glasses-wearing woman jumped out, scaring the living daylights out of me.
"SO YOU'RE HIS GIRLFRIEND?!" The woman shrieked as she jumped out from behind the wall, making me jump and fall on my butt. "Girlfriend?" I asked, it seems that even his parents are losers…
"YES!! WE WELCOME YOU FULLY!!!" The woman said excitedly, she began rambling, and I was forced to listen since she was talking so fast…
"Elliot is a shy boy, but he is the nicest and kindest soul to ever walk the earth!! He acts cold to everyone, but wishes to have friends and even a girlfriend!!!" The woman continued on and on, talking and yapping, never stopping to even consider letting me talk.
Can't this woman shut up? it's getting annoying… Oh well, I guess I have to listen…
"When he was a kid, he used to love taking baths! You should've seen him!! He and his cute little bu-" She said, but I interrupted her, not wanting to hear the rest. "WOAH WOAH WOAH!! Calm down!" I yelled, not wanting to be traumatized this evening.
The woman blushed and immediately. "I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry!!" She said, she continued saying sorry more and more, and never stopped.
Elliot finally arrived, getting the supplies for the project. He looked at his mom and told her to leave before she ran out of the room, and closed the living room door.
What a crazy woman… I feel bad for him… Maybe…
Elliot sighed and sat on the ground, putting down the large cardboard and the pens, and other stuff. "Your mom's annoying," I said, my voice filled with annoyance.
"I know, she's VERY annoying…" Elliot said, he then looked at the task at hand before discussing what we could do for the project.
"So, what are we going to do?" I asked, and he went silent, thinking of what we could do. "Maybe we can talk about Newton?" He asked, and I looked at him with a deadpan look. His idea was so stupid that I wanted to punch him. I want someone new, someone no one knows… an unknown hero, that's how I'd get number one.
"Ugh… The idea sounds so basic. seems like your mind itself can't think past basic…" I sighed and rolled my eyes. This idiot, I swear.
He then thought long and hard and finally came up with an idea, "IBN AL-HAITHAM!!" The idiot yelled, finally, he is using his brain.
We started the project, he did the ideas, I did the writing and decorating, it was a quiet moment of synergy… but then it came to name the makers, so I just wrote "By: Aurora Lane! (and Elliot…)".
Then he nodded. I thought he would fight, but it seems like he is more gullible than I thought he was. Almost immediately, his mom burst through the door, putting down a tray with two glasses of what seemed to be orange juice and a plate full of cookies.
She giggled before running outside, and I swear I can see her peeking in… Such a strange woman… At least she cares for her son… Unlike SOME parents…
He sighed once more, his face annoyed. I took a cookie and ate it; it tasted and felt baked, like it was just brought out of the oven… how quickly did this woman make the cookies? I've only been here for an hour?
Then… There was silence. I didn't mind it; it felt refreshing, but only to me. He looks extremely nervous and awkward.
"That's it?" I asked, "Yes… That's it, why? Want to do something else?" He said, finally relaxing from the awkward state he was in. "Whatever you wanna do… sure…" I said, his eyes lit up, and he left the room.
After a couple of minutes, he came back with multiple books and manga… I underestimated his nerdiness… I picked up a book from the pile, "THE ELECTRIC SLAYER." I read the title of the book I just picked.
He immediately turned to me, "This is a story about a guy named Ethan who gets overpowered superpowers and such, he is a teenager." Elliot rambled about the book, doesn't seem interesting to me…
Later at night, he had finally finished rambling, his mom burst in, forced me to see childhood photos of him buck-naked… I need to wash my eyes with bleach when I get home(JUST A JOKE, DO NOT ATTEMPT)
I reached back home, noticing how dark and gloomy it is from the inside, a stark contrast from Elliot's house… Lucky guy…
