Earlier that day.
"And you put it in the pot la. Now we wait until both sides are golden brown la." The skillet sizzled.
"Alright Yoko, like this?" She placed the based fish into the pan.
"Perfect la! Keep this up you'll be cooking for your family in no time Ms Ren."
"Don't push your luck girl. Feeding this family is your life line."
Yoko sniffled. "Don't remind me." Ren holds a knife. She swung. The fish was sliced in half. Yoko stared. "Um, Ren, can you teach me how to cut like that?"
Her eyes narrowed. "You already know how to cut fish." She dipped the fish in seasoning then in flour.
"But not like that. Your cut was perfect la. Like I was watching master chef Ramsey la! Please teach me la?" Ren placed the fish in the frying pan.
Master chef ram who? I just used the most effective way to carve off someone's flesh... This could be interesting. She smirked. "Fine. I'll teach you. I'll demonstrate slowly. On every type of organisms there are points of extreme weakness." She held the knife to the fish. "Depending on how you attack, you can get the results you want." In one smooth motion, she carved the fish in half. "Since you've been cooking for years and have common sense, you already know these weak points. Now try it." She puts the knife and fish before Yoko.
She took the knife then a deep breath. She swung. The fish head rolled away. "Shit la! Let's try again." She grabbed another fish. She swung. The head rolled. She tried again and again and again. "Damnit! Why wont it curve?!"
Ren smirked and walked away. When we tried to teach her martial arts before, she squirmed and called us killers. Now she's asking to learn it just because she thinks it's a chef technique. Homosapiens are too easy to manipulate. She steps outside. It'll be interesting to see how this'll turn out. Learning how to kill without knowing will lead to her taking a life in a desperate situation. That'll trigger a black swan event for her and she'll know The Truth Of The World and make her a Truth Seeker like myself. She'll probably go insane and die. She saw Yoko still failing to cut the fish through the window. She's staring at the fish Ren demonstrated on, sliding her hand through the cuts.
Yoko scratched her head taking another fish. Knife in hand. She swung. The first head rolled and the fish smacked into the wall. "Ah come on la!"
Ren chuckled and walked away grinning. That girl's fate is sealed. I will make her a Yamaguchi even if it kills her. "The foods burning."
Yoko jolted to the pan. "No la! Now I'll have to start again la." She turned of the stove then picked up the fish that had flew across the room. On the underbelly was a thin slice.
"Nagisa should be in class by now so Sayuri should be on her way-"
Level 3 Threat! This is Future Lieutenant Nagisa and I've been attacked by the Eschaton Temple who've infiltrated Okinawa. The situation is critical, I'm about to be captured. Send reinforcements!
Ren grit her teeth. "They dare..." Her eyes and hair went crimson. A tattoo glowed on her back as well as her chest. Her aura floods the mansion. Her bat flew to her. "This is war." All around the mansion the other women bursts with aura as well. They rushed to Ren's side. She fell forward. Her face inches away from the ground. She blasts off. Bursting through the gates with gust. She was at the base of the hill in seconds, running into traffic shrouded in aura.
A glint in her eyes she tossed her bat like a javelin. With a gentle push of her hands she moved the cars out of her path. She continued to do this, ripping through buildings and cars her bat pierced through like a swimmer through water. When the bat's momentum slowed she caught it and tossed it once more to clear her path.
Men in uniforms closed off a long area and cautioned onlookers away.
"What's going on in there?" Said an onlooker.
"Heard that a water main burst. Haven't been able to get back to my shop all morning."
"At least it's not your house. My family has been out here before dawn. The rest of my neighborhood got to go back home a while back. Why is it my family alone that has to suffer?"
"I got back my house and it was a wreck. How bad is that burst water main for them to leave my home like that?"
"They said they're some kind of special forces."
"Never heard of em. They must be really important then."
"They keep changing the quarantine area."
"That burst water main must be really dangerous." The person looked back. "What is that?"
"It's some kinda red tsunami!"
"It must be another burst water main!" The people scattered.
Seeing the incoming torrent, a man in uniform touched his ear piece. "The worst case scenario has been realised."
"Your sacrifice will not be in vain." The torrent went past him. In its wake, only a tunnel of devastation. He sighed. "I'm still alive. I thought the level two seekers said that I'd be killed within a minute of the worse case scenario, could the seniors have been wrong?"
On his far right a red diagonal bridge formed from the sky. A red car flew down its road straight for the area behind him.
On his left, a streak of red flashed past him in the wake of the torrent. For an instant, an image of an old woman with crimson eyes mouthed the words "The price is your life, we will collect?" He repeats her words then looked on the horizon where the torrent originated. He chuckled hysterically. "I think I just became a level two seeker, now I know what the seniors meant!" A red tsunami engulfed the horizon. Numerous figures of women leading the helm of the impending disaster.
