This towering fortress, like a beast rising from the depths of the ocean, has endured the passage of time as the prison of endless fury, resentment, evil, and filth.
Within it are confined the most heinous criminals in the world. And on the sixth level—of which Sengoku once said—any one of its prisoners, if released into a nation, could bring about that country's complete destruction.
Good's personal massive Marine warship slowly passed through the Gates of Justice, arriving at the port of Impel Down.
As soon as Good, Gion (Momousagi), Blackbeard, and the rest disembarked, the prison staff was already waiting.
Standing there was Hannyabal and beside him… a litter.
Upon hearing footsteps, the curtain of the litter was drawn back, and a voice came from within: "You must be the Reckless Maniac Admiral?"
Good didn't seem to care about Magellan, who remained seated inside the litter.
But this wasn't arrogance—Magellan's behavior was due to the side effects of the Doku Doku no Mi (Venom-Venom Fruit). He had constant diarrhea, and the litter… was actually a mobile toilet.
Hearing Good confirm his identity with a big grin, Hannyabal's eyes gleamed with reverence.
"I heard you defeated Whitebeard. Incredible! I, Hannyabal, have always admired brave warriors like you. Once I replace the Chief Warden—ah! I said too much!"
"I heard that, Hannyabal. Once this is over, I'll deal with you," Magellan growled.
Behind them, Gion rubbed her temples. Magellan and Hannyabal… they might be on the same brainwave as Good...
Magellan was genuinely respectful toward Good for defeating Whitebeard. Part of the reason Magellan became the Chief Warden wasn't just because of his fruit's side effects, but also because he believed in keeping the most dangerous criminals locked away from the world.
So naturally, he admired strong Marines.
Under Magellan and Hannyabal's lead, Good, Gion, Blackbeard, and the Marine soldiers escorting Shiki and Ace entered the underwater prison.
Along the way, Magellan personally gave Good a guided tour, which Good listened to with fascination.
After passing through the main gate, the first stage awaited—the "Purification."
This involved tossing prisoners—naked—into boiling water at 100°C under the guise of "disinfection," but in truth, it was a psychological method to break their spirits.
Then came the elevator to the first level: the Crimson Hell, housing criminals with bounties in the tens of millions.
Next was the Beast Hell, then the Starvation Hell, home to prisoners with bounties over 50 million Berries.
Following that was the Blazing Hell, and the penultimate level was the Freezing Hell…
Eventually, they reached the legendary sixth level of the underwater prison—Infinite Hell.
"Reckless Maniac Admiral, we've arrived! This is the sixth level!"
Magellan had already stepped off his litter and led the way in front of Good.
Their footsteps echoed through the passage, drawing the attention of countless inmates.
Dozens of malicious and twisted eyes turned toward Good and the others.
Most of them were familiar with Magellan and Hannyabal, so their focus quickly shifted to the unfamiliar faces—Good, Gion, and Blackbeard.
"Oho? An admiral?"
"Heehee! What a rare sight! The Marines sent an admiral down here in person?"
"Which admiral is this? Never seen him before."
"Did they replace one of the others? Akainu? Kizaru? Aokiji?"
"Hopefully that Akainu bastard is dead. I hated that guy the most!"
Since news couldn't reach the prisoners down here, none of them recognized Good.
But it was easy to identify a Marine admiral by their rank insignia and bearing.
As they whispered among themselves, their attention was quickly drawn to someone being escorted—Shiki.
From the shadows of one cell, a hulking, muscular man stepped forward with a mocking grin.
"Shiki! Back again?"
"Didn't you swear you'd become Pirate King the last time you broke out?"
Shiki, shackled and bound, looked up and recognized the voice.
One of Roger's former crewmates—Douglas Bullet!
A brute of a man known for his wild violence and lawlessness.
Shiki gritted his teeth, but now that he had been captured and returned, he had nothing to say.
Just then, another voice cut in.
"You relics from the old era are all the same. Once you're out, you're nothing."
The comment came from Crocodile.
Redfield snorted at his remark but didn't engage further. Instead, he asked coldly, "So who's this new admiral?"
All eyes turned to Good.
Some looked curious, others dismissive, and some were completely indifferent.
Magellan stood in front of Good and surveyed the inmates with sharp eyes. Noticing their disdain, he raised his voice and declared:
"This man is the newly appointed fourth Marine admiral, Reckless Maniac Admiral! Just days ago, he defeated the world's strongest man—Whitebeard!"
The statement struck like a thunderclap, shaking the sixth level to its core.
The sixth level of Impel Down exploded with noise.
"What?! Defeated Whitebeard?!"
"The strongest among the Four Emperors…"
"Maybe the title's just for show, but still… that's impressive."
Regardless of whether they belonged to the old era or the new, all the prisoners knew who Whitebeard was. His name still carried massive weight in this hell.
If Good truly defeated Whitebeard, then he was without question a monster.
But among the crowd, two men didn't take it well.
Redfield and Bullet.
"Hah! That old geezer was already past his prime. Defeating him ain't even that hard," Bullet scoffed.
As a brutal powerhouse who once dared to challenge even Roger himself, Bullet had no respect for Whitebeard.
Redfield didn't speak, but the disdainful smirk on his face said plenty.
Naturally, Bullet's comment reached Good's ears.
"Oh ho?"
Good suddenly looked intrigued. "So you're Roger's former crewmate?"
"Well, I'm kinda bored anyway. Since you don't seem convinced, why don't we have a little fight?"
He turned to Magellan and said cheerfully, "Hey Magellan, let Bullet out. I wanna fight him one-on-one!"
