From within the large crowd of people, a mocking voice rose:
"Sir… there's no need for you to dirty your hands with this foolish boy. I'll take care of him."
A huge man stepped forward, his steps shaking the ground beneath his feet. His eyes gleamed as he fixed his gaze on Inumaki. He clenched his fist until the sound of his bones cracking could be heard, then smiled arrogantly.
"Your end has come, boy."
As soon as the blue-haired man finished speaking, he charged forward at incredible speed, swinging a massive iron club.
He reached Touji and raised the club high, ready to strike.
Suddenly—
BOOOOM!!
The iron club smashed into the ground, scattering small rocks into the air.
The man realized his swing hadn't landed on Inumaki. He quickly swung the weapon behind him with full force, but there was no trace of him.
"Where is that bastard?" the huge man growled angrily, looking around in search of him.
"Here, you fool."
The man raised his head and saw the iron club right above him.
"Su… tch!"
The iron crashed down violently. His massive body shuddered, his eyes widened in shock, and then he collapsed unconscious.
Inumaki gripped the club and pointed it toward the gang leader's head, speaking coldly:
"You're next."
The gang leader laughed mockingly, his eyes sparking with rage.
"It seems you've grown arrogant after defeating one of my men. Don't worry… I promise that stupid smile of yours won't last long."
But Inumaki wasn't looking at him. His eyes were fixed on the blue screen in front of him:
[ Cursed Energy: 96% ]
[ Cursed Speech Available: Attempts Remaining – 4 ]
A wide grin spread across his lips.
"Finally…"
Touji turned his gaze to the gang leader, whose veins bulged across his forehead.
"Finish him!"
"Go!"
The sound of rushing footsteps echoed as the gang members charged at Inumaki.
The first man swung his sword, aiming to stab Touji. But Inumaki dodged sideways, slammed his club against the sword—sparks flying—and then kicked his opponent hard in the chest, sending him flying back.
"Don't give him a chance!" someone shouted.
Another attacker came from the right, wielding a thick wooden staff. Inumaki tilted his club slightly, blocking the strike, then shoved the man back with force.
One by one, the men began to fall. But Inumaki's breathing grew heavier, exhaustion showing on his face.
"Haaah…" he panted, his movements slowing as he continued to strike down the gang members.
Suddenly—
A chilling gust of air brushed against his back.
One of the gang members had sneaked up behind him, about to stab him.
Only then did Touji's lips move.
His voice came out deep, short:
"Leave."
BOOOOM!!
The man was hurled backward violently, as if struck by an invisible force, flying through the air before crashing unconscious.
Everyone froze in shock, their eyes widening as they realized this boy wasn't only fighting with his muscles.
The gang leader, who had been silently watching, smiled with absolute confidence and said in a booming voice:
"So… you were hiding your trump card. Impressive… But do you think that will be enough against me?"
With heavy steps, the leader advanced toward the center of the square.
With each step, the ground trembled and the air grew heavier.
Inumaki raised his club once more, his body ready, his calm smile returning.
"So you finally decided to move."
A brief silence fell before the leader lifted his right hand.
From between his fingers, a strange liquid began to drip—bright and white, like molten wax.
A grin spread across his face as he spoke:
"This isn't just a battle of muscle, boy… It's time for you to taste true despair."
He thrust his hand forward, releasing small blazing orbs of wax that shot at terrifying speed.
Inumaki leapt back, but one of the drops hit a pebble near him. Instantly, the stone hardened like cement.
"Damn… this is dangerous," Touji muttered, narrowing his eyes.
Two gang members rushed in beside their leader, attempting to distract Touji.
The first lunged with a sword, but Touji twisted his body and struck him in the stomach with the club, knocking him aside. The second leapt high, swinging his wooden staff, but a lump of wax suddenly shot from the leader's hand and stuck to his leg.
In an instant… the man's leg stiffened and froze mid-air before he crashed lifelessly to the ground!
"Wha… what's happening?!" one of the gang members screamed in terror.
The leader laughed loudly:
"Anyone who touches my wax… becomes nothing but a motionless doll."
Touji couldn't help but laugh.
"You really don't care about your own men, do you?"
"There are plenty of men. Why should I trouble myself over one?"
Inumaki tightened his grip on the club, but a faint smile remained.
"I don't think I can resist for long…"
{If this stuff touches me, I'm dead, right?} … "Sake, sake."
"It's too late for regrets, boy."
The leader launched threads of wax at blinding speed toward Touji.
Touji dashed quickly, leaping between debris and striking the ground with his club to propel himself higher, narrowly avoiding the sticky threads reaching for him.
But one of them brushed his shoulder!
Suddenly… a crushing weight pulled on his arm, his movement slowing as his shoulder began to stiffen.
The leader grinned:
"Ahh… I've caught you."
Inumaki grit his teeth, and in a swift motion, twisted his body and smashed the wax with his club. The hardened mass shattered into pieces, falling to the ground like brittle stone.
"You won't let me move so easily… will you?" Touji said quietly.
The leader raised both hands this time, and a massive wave of wax erupted forward—like a white ocean, surging rapidly, threatening to swallow everything in its path.
Dust whirled around. Touji gripped his club tightly, a faint grin curling his lips:
"Alright… let's see if your wax can really stop me."
A small note
Because the hero's name changes in the chapters during translation, I made the hero's name Touji like in the anime.
Secondly, when I write
"Why are you still waiting" "Salmon Salmon"
the first one means what he wanted to say, while the second is what actually came out of his mouth, so that you can know what he means.
And from today on I will use this sign {} to avoid mistakes, like in the first example:
{Why are you still waiting}….."Salmon Salmon"
As for the second-to-last matter, when I translate the chapter, some spelling and grammatical mistakes may appear. That's because I'm currently learning grammar fully, so I hope you'll be patient with me.
The last matter is that some sentences appear in the translation that I never added to the text, so there is a misunderstanding. Therefore, if there is anyone who can volunteer to translate the chapters, I would be very grateful, or I can continue translating with AI until I can get my own translator.
I swear it took me two ho
urs to write the chapter so I really hope there aren't any mistakes. As for the mistakes in the first chapters, they're possible.
Thank you for reading.
