Chapter 18 - Let’s Find Out Your Real Identity, Rupert Sanchez

Lucious leaves rustled as the wind blew. A few birds were sitting on the branches, taking a cover from the sun's glare. Suddenly, a ball hit a bird and it fell on the ground. Scared by the unexpected attack, the rest of the birds flew into the sky.

Sunlight penetrated the glass windows, slowly illuminating the entire room. Slow chirping sounds entered the room as the birds crossed the house, searching for a new location.

Alice slowly opened her eyes and tried to sit up. But as soon as she tried to sit, her waist began to hurt. A trace of confusion on her delicate features. At that moment, she remembered last night's events. Starting from the 'heat' to the 'sultry' sex.

"Oh, you are awake." A very familiar voice entered her ears.

Standing at the door, Lindy gave her a small smile. She was wearing a shirt and a pair of jeans. Her fiery red hair was tied up in a bun. But what was infuriating for Alice was the fact that she appeared totally 'fine.' Unlike her, she appeared unaffected.

Just as she was about to open her mouth, Lindy shook her head and put a finger on her lips indicating to keep quiet.

Taking a deep breath, Alice sat up, ignoring the pain in her waist.

"Please don't talk. Your throat is still injured, and last night's activity kind of amplified it. So, take some rest, okay? Two days should be fine. As for talking, take this. Write your whatever you want to say on it." Lindy handed her a notebook and a pen.

Taking them, Alice put them beside her and glared at her.

Lindy smirked, "What? Are you feeling unwell? I mean, last night was intense. And I really did a number on you, didn't I?"

Alice opened the notebook and scribbled on it. She handed the notebook to Lindy, who laughed as soon as she saw the writing on the notebook.

"You are funny! 'Why did you do that?' If I remember correctly, you were the one who 'wanted' it, right? Shouldn't you be happy? You are no longer a virgin now. Also, remember that you initiated it."

Alice blushed in shame. It wasn't like she wanted to accuse Lindy... or, maybe she did want to accuse her. She wanted to pull out her hair in frustration.

Lindy snorted at Alice's reaction. All kinds of emotions crossed through that delicate face in a few seconds. Her hands were itching to pinch those jelly-like cheeks.

Meanwhile, Alice was going through an internal breakdown. She was the one who took an oath that she would always remain single. So, why? Was an omega's 'heat' that potent?

No, it wasn't.

Then, why did she let herself go 'unhinged?'

"Alice, it was just a one-night stand, okay? So, no need to feel so conflicted," said Lindy.

Alice looked up and slowly nodded.

Correct. Yes, it's indeed correct! It's no use crying over spilled milk. We are not dating or anything. It was just sex. I had plenty of sex in my past life. So, it's no biggie!

Alice's eyes lit up and a sweet smile appeared on her face.

Grabbing the notebook, Alice scribbled again and handed it back to Lindy.

"Oh, you agree? Well, fine by me. But I have to say, it was quite a new experience for me. If you want, we can have a go at it again," said Lindy. Winking at Alice, she leaned towards her and gave a peck on her lips.

Alice blushed heavily and pushed Lindy away.

It was a light push but Lindy acted as if Alice pushed her with too much force. Knowingly, she fell on the ground and let out a fake groan of pain.

Alice flinched as she saw what she had done. She stood up and immediately walked towards her. But as her body was too 'weak,' she lost her balance. Just as thought she was about to hit the ground, Lindy saved her.

Her hands were wrapped over Alice's waist.

Lindy put her mouth near Alice's left ear and whispered, "You should see what you are doing. What if you have gotten hurt right now?"

Reckless. According to Lindy, Alice was a bit reckless. This trait was never a good one to have.

Lindy's scorching breath sprayed over her ear, making her shiver.

Putting Alice on the bed, Lindy took a seat beside her. She said, "You can rest for a while. Don't worry, I have cleaned you up and also gave you bath. You lost consciousness after the sixth round," Alice snorted and looked away, "I have prepared breakfast for you. As for the 'monster,' we will talk about it later."

Suddenly, Alice grabbed her hand. With the other hand, she scribbled something on the notebook.

"No need to write on it. I know what you want to say," said Lindy, "Alice, but not now. Eat the breakfast and then, take some medicines. After your throat's condition improves a bit... we will talk. Until then, take some rest. Her voice was serious.

Saying that Lindy left the room, leaving Alice to mull over her thoughts.

Rupert had caught her by surprise. Never in her life, she had expected to be kidnapped by a monster. If Alice hadn't come for her rescue, then she would have been killed and eaten by that bloody monster.

Entering the living room, Lindy scanned the room, searching for some clues.

"Let's find out your real identity, Rupert Sanchez. At the meantime, I will have to clean the room as well," Lindy whispered to herself. Taking out a pair of latex gloves, she put them on her hands and started her search.
