"-but you can't refuse an invitation from a higher-ranked noble," Marissa finished for me. "This is starting to become quite an issue for you."
I sighed, letting my head thud against the back of my chair. "Only since becoming involved with that stupid Count. Let's make a blacklist one of these days, Marissa—people who are absolutely not allowed to schedule an appointment."
"Normally, I'd say turning away any customers is a bad idea, but we do seem to have attracted quite the troublesome nobles," Marissa resigned. "Shall I put the names Graye and Wulfstan at the top of the list?" She added a pointed glare to Wolf, who had managed to approach me again, this time standing directly behind me like a giant shadow.
