"The weather is lovely, why don't we stroll around and enjoy the scenery together."
The Count pressed, leaning his elbow closer to me.
I breathed out slowly, releasing the curled fists at my sides. This was the moment. I'd settle everything with the Count now.
"I suppose a short stroll would be nice," I replied, knocking his elbow away with my own. "Shall we head this way?"
Without waiting for his response, I started off in the direction opposite Lord Peter had gone. It was the fastest route to the exit, after all.
The Count gave a smirk and then fell into stride alongside me. We walked in silence for a few moments before I took the initiative to break it.
"What is it you want from me, Count?" I asked pointedly.
"To enjoy a nice stroll through the park," he answered without missing a beat.
"We both know that's not what I mean," I huffed, turning to face him. "Please, let's end this game. Just tell me what you want."
