Chapter 12: A Mother's Arrival and a Fuchsteufelwild Assassin

The coffee shop was quiet, a sanctuary in a city of monsters. Adam, however, felt anything but peaceful. He was going over his plans, his mind a whirlwind of possibilities and risks. His canonical knowledge was his greatest weapon, but it was also a burden. Every action he took, every change he made, sent ripples through the timeline, creating new and unknown variables. He had to be a step ahead, always. The bell on the door chimed, and a woman walked in.

She was tall and commanding, with a strong, athletic build that spoke of years of hard training and brutal fights. Her hair was a striking mix of gray and blonde, a testament to a life lived on the edge. Her face, though etched with the lines of a hard life, was beautiful, a perfect blend of strength and grace. She was a Grimm. He could feel it. The Aura of the First Grimm, his passive ability, was humming, but it was being pushed back by her powerful, ancient presence. He knew who she was. She was a legend, a ghost, a myth in his canonical knowledge.

"Kelly Burkhardt. Nick's mother. She's here. Way too early. This is a game-changer. My father must have sent her, or at least, the system must have. I have to play this right. She's a wildcard. She's a master Grimm. She's a fighter. And she's here to protect me. I need to get her on my side, not just as an ally, but as a mentor, a partner. And I need to do it now. The Fuchsteufelwild assassin is probably not far behind. My foresight says he's a royal agent, and he's going to hit soon. Juliette's life is on the line. I have to prevent the amnesia, the Royal family's manipulation. I have to save her."

The woman walked up to the counter, her eyes, a sharp, penetrating blue, fixed on Adam. "You're Adam Stiels," she said, her voice a low, gravelly tone that held the weight of experience. "I'm Kelly Burkhardt. I've been sent here by my… by our family. To protect you. To protect the key."

Adam's lips curled into a slow, confident smile. "I know who you are, Kelly. And I know why you're here. The key is safe, and I don't need protecting. What I need is a partner. A fighter. A mentor. I need you to train me. I need you to show me what it means to be a true Grimm. And I need you to help me kill a Fuchsteufelwild assassin who is probably on his way to Portland right now."

Kelly's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of shock and respect in their depths. "A Fuchsteufelwild? How do you know?"

"I know things," Adam said with a dry chuckle, the kind of sarcasm that would make Stilinski proud. "I'm a direct descendant of the First Grimm. I have a System. It tells me things. Now, are you with me or are you going to stand there and look pretty while a royal assassin makes a move on Nick's girlfriend? We have a life to save. Juliette Silverton. She's the one the assassin will use to get to me. We need to stop him. We need to save her."

Kelly, a seasoned Grimm who had seen it all—and then some—was a bit taken aback by Adam's confidence and his uncanny knowledge of things he shouldn't know. But she could feel the power in him, the raw, ancient power of the First Grimm. She could feel his sincerity, his drive to protect. She nodded, a grim smile on her face. "Alright. I'm in. Let's go save the girl."

The Fuchsteufelwild assassin, a terrifying blend of wolf and fox, was a blur of motion, a vicious predator who was out for blood. He had Juliette cornered in her vet clinic, his eyes glowing with malice and hatred, his claws extended, dripping with venom. He was about to strike when a blur of motion stopped him. Kelly Burkhardt.

She was a force of nature, a whirlwind of fists and feet, a master of her craft. The Fuchsteufelwild, a seasoned assassin, was completely outmatched. He couldn't land a single blow. He was a blur of movement, a powerful and vicious predator, but she was a Grimm, a master hunter, a force of nature.

Then, Adam arrived. He walked into the vet clinic, a calm, confident presence. The Fuchsteufelwild turned to face him, his eyes wide with fear as he felt the overwhelming Aura of the First Grimm. He was a monster, a predator, but in the presence of Adam, he was a mouse in the presence of a lion. He was powerless, mesmerized, and terrified.

"You're an assassin," Adam's voice was a low, menacing growl. "You're sent by the royal families to kill me. To get the key. But you're not going to. You're going to be a lesson. And you're going to be a vial."

Adam and Kelly worked together, a seamless, coordinated team. Adam, with his raw power and his Aura, and Kelly, with her refined skill and years of experience, were an unstoppable force. The Fuchsteufelwild was subdued, his will broken. Adam made a small incision, drawing a few drops of blood. As the blood hit his inventory, the Fuchsteufelwild screamed in pain, but the wound healed instantly. He was released, a broken and terrified creature.

[System] The Fuchsteufelwild Potion grants a minor resistance to fear-based attacks and a slight boost to mental resilience.

Adam looked at the glowing vial in his inventory, a small, satisfied smile on his face. Another vial. Another step closer to his goal. He had saved Juliette. He had prevented the amnesia. He had a new, powerful partner. He was a step ahead.
