"Shinra Raynard... Welcome to the afterlife. I'm sorry to say this but you're dead. You've live a short life and it's over now."
A voice emitted despite the gentle and calm tone, it was loud and clear, as if she's talking inside his head.
"Oh is that so?" Shinra said, his expression indifferent. Upon opening his eyes the first thing he saw was a void hue in gradient grey. The lack of lighting didn't hinder his perception to the surroundings everything seems as bright as day.
"You doesn't seem to be shock..." The voice speaks again.
His eyes wander and landed on a girl sitting on the throne. Their gaze meet and for a moment he was taken a back but quickly calm himself. He recognized the girl or rather the goddess in front of him.
"I see... So that's how it is." He said, sighing. "Lady Eris, can I choose my own cheat?"
"Huh?" Hearing this Goddess Eris was puzzled. Things seems to proceed faster than she expected. Like checking the vid, and skipping to the climax. "Wait a moment..." She said, slapping her forehead trying to recover. After few minutes of taking a deep breath she regain herself.
"Mister Shinra, you seems to be well informed." She said, smiling.
"Yes, in order not to waste your precious time lady goddess. I'm going to tell you now the things I request."
"Uhmm... Sure go ahead."
"First, I don't you need modify my appearance but my clothing instead..." Shinra started noting things he wanted, and goddess Eris listens intently. At first she thought, his demands were absrub but it's easier than she imagined, he also stated his reasoning behind this and why he seems to know.
Eris expressiom took a series of wild turns, starting from awe, disbelief, frustrated, embarrassment and finally ending it with relieve.
Shinra's unexpected revelation, took her by surprised but accepted it as reality instead. With proof as consideration, he emphasize the words "your chest were padded..." Eris wanted to strike him with divine punishment but held herself back.
"Mr. Shinra Raynard... I'm going to send you to this new world, as one of the candidates fro the hero who will defeat the demon king." She said watching him ascends, spreading her hands she smiles at him for the last time before continuing, "Hero! I pray for your success as the one of many candidate who will bring low the demong king. Now hie— you hence!"
The magic circle arounds him emitted blinding lights, and just like that he completely banished. Goddess Eris, stand still and glance at the place where Shinra begone. All that remains is empty void.
