The Death Knight was a very strong enemy. Ren could see it with his System.

"Level 35," Ren said out loud. "He is much stronger than the other monsters here."
The Death Knight charged. Its giant axe swung at them. The air around the axe turned cold and dark.
Lyra bravely tried to block the attack with her shield. The axe hit her shield with a loud CLANG. She was pushed back several steps. Her shield was strong, but the Death Knight was stronger.
Ren easily dodged the attack. He was too fast for the big knight. He attacked the knight's armor with his Sting of the Queen. The sword cut into the black metal. The corrosive venom started to melt the armor.
The Death Knight's angry voice spoke in their minds. "Your soul will belong to the Master!"
"Sorry, my soul is not for sale," Ren said with a laugh. He danced around the big knight, leaving small, smoking cuts on its armor with every hit.
The Death Knight became very angry. It could not hit the fast boy. It slammed its axe on the ground. "Perish!"
A wave of black, death energy exploded from the knight. Lyra was hit by the wave and was thrown back.
Ren saw the wave coming. "Buzz, it's your turn to be a hero!" he shouted, summoning his wasp.
Buzz appeared and flew into the death wave. The wasp was destroyed instantly, turning into motes of light.
Ren put his hand on his heart and pretended to cry. "You killed Buzz! You monster! He was my best friend!"
The Death Knight had used a lot of power for its big attack. It was tired for just one second. That was all the time Ren needed.
"This is for Buzz!" Ren shouted.
He moved like a lightning bolt. He pushed his sword into the knight's chest, right where he had weakened the armor with his venom. The sword went in deep.
The blue fire in the knight's eyes went out. The giant knight fell to its knees. Then, its body turned into a pile of black dust and armor parts.

Ren immediately summoned Buzz again. Buzz was perfectly fine. "Welcome back, buddy," Ren said, patting the wasp's head.
He looked at the loot. The axe was big and scary. He could not use it, but he could sell it in his shop. The most important item was a key. It was made of black bone.
When Ren picked up the key, a part of the wall at the bottom of the stairs started to glow. The wall disappeared, and a giant, new door was there. It had one keyhole.
Lyra got back on her feet. "I guess we know where that key goes."
Ren held up the key with a happy smile. "The loot piñata dropped the key to the final room. How nice of him."
