A few days after what happened between Ethan and Minami, Ethan went out of his house to go on a walk and calm down, but he couldn't.
He then decided to invite Minami over so they could both hang out and fight crime together. He smiled as he took out his phone and texted her to meet him at the IHO.
Ethan wore his AirPods and used his powers to make a suit around him. He then remembered that he had asked the IHO to make him a new suit, so he opened the song "Head First" by Christian French and young bomb.
He liked the song in the past, but it's the first time that it felt relatable. He charged his legs and with one strong push, he was speeding through the city, the sunset casting an orange-yellow glow as everything seemed to slow down.
He arrived at the IHO, but instead of waiting inside the building, he ran up it. His excitement was extreme, from the song and the idea of fighting crime alongside Minami, before long, he had reached the top. He didn't slow down or stop.
He jumped off the wall, he felt himself flying for a second, then he started to fall. Time slowed down once again as his excitement caused electricity to crackle around him.
When he reached the ground, he landed in a badass way, and his face had a big smirk plastered on it.
He finally calmed down(kinda). He walked to the wall of the building, waiting for Minami. He waited for half an hour, but she never arrived.
But as he was about to be disappointed and leave, Minami arrived, floating down to the ground.
Minami: "Hey! Sorry, did you wait a lot?"
Ethan: "Yeah, but it's okay, I'm pretty sure you took all that time getting ready."
Minami nodded, smiling back at him. She levitated off the ground and held Ethan's hand.
She began to fly upwards. The view was beautiful, and Ethan looked at Minami, the fading shade of the sun lighting her face up, making it seem prettier than normal.
Ethan: "Hey! Let go of me, trust me."
Minami: "No! We are so high up, you'll splat!!"
Ethan created a barrier under his feet, making him stand midair. Minami sighed and let him go.
He bounced onto the barrier, he started to jog on the barrier, then the jog went to a run, then the run went into a zip. Minami flew beside him, wanting to stay by his side.
They both flew through the sky. Ethan put an AirPod on one ear and opened the song "Rush" by NEFFEX.
Ethan's feet touched the barrier with the beat, slowing down and speeding up, he did tricks like barrel rolls and loop-de-loops, and swinging left and right.
Minami giggled as Ethan's excitement caused him to do tricks and speed up.
They then hear screams, they head to investigate and see a building on fire, the whole building was being destroyed by a person with a criminal mask using his fire powers to demolish the building.
Ethan changed the song into "Can't Hold Us" by "Macklemore". Ethan and Minami looked at each other and nodded. Minami flew downwards, while Ethan removed the barrier, falling.
When he was about to touch the ground, he summoned lightning and used it to make himself stop falling. He landed in front of the criminal.
Ethan: "Hello there."
The criminal: "Ah! The electric slayer!"
The criminal used his fire powers to throw a fireball at Ethan, and Ethan dodged it effortlessly. He then yawned before stopping time and punching the man, sending him flying into a wall, instantly winning.
Meanwhile, Minami had been using her powers to make people levitate towards the nearest window or fire exit. They all floated to the ground. Most were gasping, others were staring at Minami as she now started to use her powers to create a vacuum inside the building, instantly causing the fire to turn off.
Minami floated to Ethan, who was standing with a smug look on his face. Ethan high-fived Minami. Ethan then walked to the criminal and took one of the few chunks of wall that had been lying around because of the fire.
Ethan put the rubble over the criminal, rendering him unable to move. They left the scene. Ethan left by teleporting to the sky using lightning, and Minami flew upwards.
They continued their sky dance before deciding to stop and fly near the ground to catch any criminals, and when they did, they immediately saw a suspicious group in an alley, along with a car with its trunk open.
Ethan gave the other AirPod to Minami, and both of them were listening to the same song. He then opened "Affection Addiction" by VocaloKAT.
They then rushed into the scene, Ethan grabbed a man by his hair and threw him at the car's trunk, and Minami lifted the rest and made them float. Ethan used his superspeed to throw each other around and zap them, causing a chain reaction that electrocuted all of them.
Minami then made everyone fall to the ground, and Ethan threw one at Minami, who threw the man back at Ethan using her telekinesis, and Ethan threw him to the ground, and jumped upwards using his superspeed to turn it into a giant jump. He then landed on the ground, causing a mini-shockwave.
The mini-shockwave also caused a small electric explosion, but thankfully, Ethan created a barrier around him before touching the ground to make sure Minami and the surrounding buildings were safe and not damaged.
Ethan made the barrier disappear. He was slightly panting(not from exhaustion but excitement). He took a few deep breaths before Ethan ran up a building and sat on the edge. Minami followed closely.
She floated up the building and sat next to him.
Ethan: "Hmm, should we go to a taller tower? Like the IHO?"
Minami: "Sure, I guess that would be even more beautiful."
And so they got up and used their powers to go to the IHO and climb on top of it. They sat on the edge, the view of the city all around them, their lights began to turn on, the sun had sunk below the horizon, leaving a purple and pink hue over the horizon.
Minami held Ethan's hand. Ethan looked at her and chuckled. He is now calming down, for the first time in a long time, when suddenly a voice appeared behind them.
A woman: "You guys shouldn't be here."
Ethan and Minami turn around to see Velastra. She was smiling and chuckling.
Velastra: "Well, it seems that you have already found your future wife!"
Ethan looked at Minami in confusion. He looked back at Velastra.
Ethan: "Future wife??"
Velastra: "Well, yeah! She is. Oh, also, expect a child as soon as possible, you might not know when you will grow up!"
Minami: "That was vague… You know her?"
Ethan turned to Minami and nodded. And as fast as Velastra appeared, she disappeared.
Ethan: "Yeah, that's Velastra, she's the number 1 hero. I met her once, and she likes to give vague warnings and such."
Minami: "How does she know about the danger if she gives the warnings?"
Ethan: "She's a fifth-dimensional being. She's interested in how I seem to rule the world in most universes, mostly because of fame or anything like that."
Minami: "Yeah… I guess maybe that's your fate, haha! Anyways, how about we hang out at your place, you know, play video games and such?"
Ethan's face flushed, and he stammered before Minami realized and fixed her mistake.
Minami: "Ah! I meant normal hangout! Not that!!"
Ethan calmed down a little bit. He nodded and smiled.
