The New Threat
Daniel returned home one night to a white envelope slipped under his door, inside was a photograph of him and Ijeoma at the café laughing.
Written on the back:
"She's not the only one hiding secrets.
I wonder if your wife has seen this."
Daniel felt the heat rise to his face, his heart pounded not from guilt, but from violation. Someone was watching him.
He called Ijeoma immediately.
"I didn't send that."
"Then who's following us?"
"I don't know," she whispered. "But this is getting dangerous."
Daniel stared at the photo again. Someone was trying to dismantle his marriage from both ends, one lie at a time.
But he wasn't sure who anymore.
