"Is it your girlfriend?" It was his sister number 3. Yes, he couldn't remember their difficult names. So he called them by their number. No, not in front of them but in his heart. He couldn't afford any causality at the time.
Elder sister was 2 years younger than him. Then came twins who were now about 13. And then was this girl she was as old as Amy, a year younger or older, he couldn't remember. And then was the moodiest girl of the house who was now about 9 yrs old.
"no, it's nano and Amy." He replied with a stern voice. The girl pouted at his rudeness making incoherent voice.
"I was happy to hear about you, when baba told us about having a big brother. I planned a lot of things to do with you. My friend has her brothers who care a lot for her. So,I thought you too would be like them, caring and sweet. but now I know you're just like others, selfish and rude. I thought you were different but I was wrong. I'm sorry for disturbing your privacy." She was going to leave when he suddenly leaped toward her and hold her arm and said sorry in a low voice.
"Okay then who is Amy? Can I see her picture right now? I want to." She said through his smiling wide open mouth and twinkling eyes. She took her seat on his bed sitting cross legged. He smiled at her behavior. She was just looking like Amy.
"It's her." He showed her, his wallpaper where a girl was showing her smile with a broken tooth and teary eyes with a sign of victory.
"She lost her tooth at that time and was crying she didn't look much pretty. But as I opened my camera, she smiled forgetting her worry. She is so cute." He told her with a sad smile. She was looking at the picture and then his face. After a few minutes silence she concluded and said,
"You miss her? You don't need to hide it from me, I'm younger but I can understand." She cut him as he tried to say something and said raising her both hands. He just sighed and lowered his head looking down at the phone.
"Yes, I miss them. I've never been away from them for even a day and now it's been so long." He murmured tried to hold his emotions at bay. She felt pity for him.
"Why don't you go visit them? I'm sure they too miss you. If you think they don't, believe me, you'll know as you call'em. So don't hesitate and do it. Come on." She said cheering him up.
"The one who love you are never angry at you. They may complain about your mistakes or behavior but never leave them for this reason. They are the ones who never ever would make you feel lonely whenever you are sad. They are the ones who truly care about you. If they are angry, it's their right to show what they feel."
He felt confident and with shaking hands and holding his breath, he dialed Dadu's number. It was ringing on the other side. They didn't picked up. He was disappointed.
"Don't be. Try again. Hurry up. You can't get down your hope when it's matter of your own life and your family. So do it." She said making him encouraged. He nodded and dialed again. After a few rings it was attended. There was silent on the other side. All he could hear was shuffling and then fast breathing.
"Amy, it's.....you?" He asked hesitantly.
"Amy, are you alright? Did something happen?" He knew she was crying on the other side by muffled sounds.
"She is sick so we are in hospital. If you don't mind can you come and show your face to the ones waiting for you?" It was Dadu's voice. Her tone was serious. He felt embarrassed and saying he's coming, telling her sister, left in a hurry. He had to go.
She was smiling behind. When he left she released a breath and relaxed. She was noticing him in this condition from the day he came. She was the extraordinary kid of the house who observe every little thing. When she saw him she discussed it with her teacher and ask how to help him.
Then following her advice, she had an idea and looked for the opportunity. Getting the chance she made him realize something that he was trying to ignore. She told him to do what he wants without any hesitation and face the situation instead of running away. He should've asked for explanation from them. He shouldn't decide everything on his own.
