Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: The Spark.

As soon as Dumbledore appeared, Levid knew his stalling goal had been achieved.

However, what puzzled Levid was that Grindelwald seemed to have long been aware of his stalling attempt.

Yet, he didn't expose him, instead cooperating.

Otherwise, if they wanted to chat, they could have it anywhere else. Why stay here?

Especially after learning of Professor Hicks's escape.

It was entirely predictable that with Hicks's escape, Dumbledore would arrive in record time.

Yet, he showed no sign of rushing.

Otherwise, they might have already reached Nurmengard...

However, Grindelwald's next words dispelled Levid's doubts.

"How swift you are, Dumbledore..." Grindelwald smiled.

"I had intended to persuade these two children to join us in front of you, but... unfortunately,

I failed. It's strange.

They are so thirsty for power, yet they remain unmoved by my offer..."

Prying people in front of Dumbledore? What kind of unique NTR fetish is this... Levid muttered to himself.

"That proves your charisma isn't as high as you'd hoped. Besides, not everyone is like you, willing to do anything to achieve their goals.

They may be young, but they know right from wrong." Dumbledore said coldly, "I can already foresee your failure, Grindelwald." "

Failure? My power is at its peak, my followers spread across the globe, and our ideals can even turn our enemies against us... You say I will fail?" Grindelwald said disdainfully.

"So many years have passed, and countless facts have proven that your ideals were just the wishful thinking of our youth... impossible to achieve.

" A trace of sadness flashed in Dumbledore's eyes. "Besides, you don't really care what the world will eventually become.

You're only pursuing your own shameful ambitions, aren't you?"

"Have I become so unbearable in your eyes?" Grindelwald's face flashed with irritation.

"People change.

You are no longer recognizable to me now.

At least the Gellert I knew then was not that terrible." Dumbledore's face was full of grief. "Think about what you have done over the years...

How many people have died innocently for your so-called ideals? How many people who were deceived by you have sacrificed their lives in vain because of you?"

"Revolution means bloodshed!" Grindelwald raised his voice unconsciously.

"The world is sick... and my mission is to cure it!"

"The sick person is you, Grindelwald..."

"I want all wizards to stand proudly under the blue sky!

Dumbledore! Magic blossoms only in a select few!

And we are the most special! Why can those mediocre ones stand in the sun, while the rest of us must hide?

Are you truly content to remain in the shadows forever like a rat? Dumbledore? If you don't dare change the world, then I'll do it!

I don't blame you for hiding in that school like a coward!

But one day, I will lay my entire ideal world before you!

And until then... please! Don't! Stop! Me!!"

Then, the two of them fell silent.

Since they didn't speak, the others naturally didn't dare to speak either.

After a long moment, Dumbledore sighed and said, "No matter how beautifully you embellish yourself, you can't hide the pain you've brought to the world...

Well, this argument is pointless.

We've argued this countless times before. Grindelwald...

let's get started."

With that, Dumbledore drew his wand.

"Are you going to fight me because you can't win the argument?

But Dumbledore, do you think you can beat me if we really fight?"

Grindelwald said, opening his arms.

At the same time, the wizards behind him gathered behind him, looking at Dumbledore fiercely.

No matter how powerful Dumbledore is, he is only one person.

If a fight really comes, the wizards will definitely not fight him alone.

If he is pinned down by Grindelwald, and the other wizards launch a sneak attack at the same time, even Dumbledore will be defeated!

Levid narrowed his eyes.

Could it be that because of the influence of his butterfly wings, the decisive battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald will be brought forward?

Dumbledore looked at Grindelwald calmly, as if he didn't see the wizards behind him.

"Since I know you're here, how could I possibly come alone?"

Dumbledore had barely finished his words when a dense swarm of figures suddenly emerged from behind him.

Soon, Dumbledore's group was larger than Grindelwald's own witches.

While Dumbledore's followers weren't as numerous as Grindelwald's, with the addition of the Ministry's Aurors, Dumbledore's side had a clear numerical advantage.

Professor Hicks was naturally among them, though she looked utterly distraught.

Clearly, she had paid a heavy price to break through and deliver Dumbledore's message.

She stared across at Levitra and Tom with a worried look on her face.

l"Wade, Tom, come here," Dumbledore beckoned.

Levitra didn't hesitate, calling Toby along, and headed straight for Dumbledore's group.

Tom, on the other hand, hesitated.

Based on their earlier conversation, Tom had guessed what Grindelwald was up to: men like him were known to be ruthless and merciless.

So, was it really okay to let them through now?

After all, they were practically within striking distance of Grindelwald.

Grindelwald seemed to see through Tom's thoughts.

"If you don't want to join us, then go back. Don't worry, I won't harm you.

There are already so few of our kind...

And my promise is forever.

If you change your mind, you can always come back to me."

Tom couldn't help but glance at Grindelwald twice before quickly catching up with Levid.

"Don't try to deceive my students, Grindelwald," Dumbledore glared at Grindelwald angrily.

"Everyone has the right to choose, Dumbledore. You can't stop people from yearning for freedom and truth!"

Grindelwald declared, a wand appearing in his hand.

It was a slender, scarred wand, none other than the Elder Wand, one of the famous Deathly Hallows!

He gently swung it in front of his face.

  "Whoosh!"

A wall of blue flame suddenly appeared before Grindelwald and Dumbledore,

  dividing the two groups!

He waved his hand, and the witches behind him turned and Apparated away.

Today, Dumbledore's side had the advantage in numbers.

A head-on fight would yield little, so Grindelwald decided to retreat.

After all, his goal for today had been achieved...

Grindelwald believed that although his attempt to incite the two children to rebellion had failed, his words had surely sown a spark in their hearts!

Since these two children were so favored by Dumbledore, everything he did today would definitely not be in vain!
