Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 You are Dumbledore's favorite student, right?

  Levid's heart sank.

It seems that there is no way to end it peacefully today.

Since the other party was able to come behind him without him noticing, it is enough to prove that the other party's strength is far superior to his.

Then, no matter what the other party wants to do, he has no room for resistance.

Sure enough, when Grindelwald was talking to Levid, Vita had already begun to unscrupulously untie the ropes that had just been tied on the witches.

"Who are you..." Levid asked as usual, although he had already guessed who the other party was.

Who else could come behind him silently and have such a distinctive appearance except the current Dark Lord, Gellert Grindelwald?

"You must know Dumbledore, right? I am Dumbledore's friend, Gellert Grindelwald."

Grindelwald said with a smile.

Levid glanced at Vita, who was treating the witches.

"It's clear these guys are your people... From what I understand, Dumbledore's friends wouldn't attack us."

"Well... let's just say we were once friends.

It was just a minor disagreement that led us to part ways."

Grindelwald showed no sign of embarrassment at being exposed.

"Why did you attack us?" Levid asked bluntly. "And how is Professor Hicks?"

"If you'd noticed, you'd have noticed none of our men used lethal spells tonight...

If Professor Hicks hasn't escaped, he's definitely safe now." Grindelwald removed his hand from Levid's shoulder and slowly walked to face him.

"As for why I attacked you..."

Grindelwald looked at Levid with a quizzical look. "Actually, I'm just curious why Dumbledore values you so much, so I wanted to have a conversation with you."

"Is there a possibility... if you just wanted to talk, you could have just knocked on the door and come in, instead of blowing a huge hole in our house?" Levid asked helplessly.

Grindelwald looked up at the sky and shrugged. "You have a point, but...

I'm used to it. This has been the way we've been interacting with Dumbledore's people in recent years..."

By then, most of the wizarding party had been rescued.

Their injuries might have been severe for Muggles, but for wizards, a simple healing spell would have healed them.

Someone inside the house had already woken Tom and Toby and brought them out.

Toby's eyes were filled with despair. He hadn't rescued his master! He had let him be trapped!

Tom, on the other hand, regarded the people around him with apathy, his thoughts unfathomable.

Vita approached. "The other child is still here. But Hicks has escaped... We must hurry."

Grindelwald's gaze passed over Toby and turned to Tom.

Tom, fearlessly looking up, met his gaze.

A smile of joy gradually spread across Grindelwald's face.

Normally, any other eleven-year-old wizard would have been remarkable for not bursting into tears in such a situation.

But now, one of these two children had directly defeated all of his men, while the other, facing his gaze, did not panic but instead appeared very calm.

Although Grindelwald was not aware of Tom's abilities, he had just fully witnessed Levid's talents.

Like attracts like, and the fact that the two of them had been together proved that even if Tom's abilities were not as good as Levid's, they were definitely not much weaker.

It can only be said that these two children truly possessed extraordinary character and talent. No wonder Dumbledore cared so much about them.

Levid and Tom exchanged a glance, then said, "Well... now that you have met us as you wished, how do you plan to talk? What will you do with us after the talk?"

"If I am not mistaken, you should be Dumbledore's favorite student, right?" Grindelwald looked at Levid and asked quietly.

Levid frowned. If he remembered correctly, it seemed Newt had been asked that question the last time, and then he'd sentenced him to death the next second...

"In fact, we haven't officially enrolled yet... We haven't even figured out what subjects Professor Dumbledore teaches.

So, Professor Dumbledore's favorite student must be someone else," Levid calmly denied Grindelwald's statement.

Dumbledore's favorite student?

No, I'm not...

Especially not in front of you!

Grindelwald looked at Levid quietly, then suddenly laughed again. "In that case, how about you come with me? If you come with me, I can show you sights you'd never have the chance to see at Hogwarts... and you can easily obtain the power you've always dreamed of."

"If you long for power, I suggest you don't miss this opportunity..."

"Since you know Dumbledore, you should know that there's a lot of magical knowledge he would never let you touch."

Without a doubt, Grindelwald saw through Levid and Tom's deepest desire... a yearning for power.

Why did Grindelwald attract so many people to his side?

Because, at least on the surface, he was someone who was happy to grant your wishes, and he actually had the power to do so!

This gave people the illusion that he was a savior sent from heaven, tailor-made for them.

When people encounter a savior like this, willing to help them out of trouble and grant their wishes... they were naturally drawn to him!

How could he have so few followers?

And Tom was already quite tempted.

For him, staying with Dumbledore meant he had to keep his tail between his legs.

But working under Grindelwald allowed him to fully unleash his inner self, without suppressing his true nature.

Moreover, he could learn magic he had never been able to learn before!

Tom no longer had the arrogance he once had, which had always been a barrier to him.

It couldn't be helped; he would be subordinate to someone at Hogwarts anyway... beneath Levid...

But just as he was about to agree, Levid shook his head firmly, causing Tom to hold back his words.

Having spent so much time with Levid, he knew Levid was someone who absolutely refused to suffer any loss.

If there were benefits to following Grindelwald, he would never refuse!

So, although he didn't know why Levid rejected Grindelwald, Tom rationally decided to trust Levid's judgment.

Of course, Levid couldn't join the Wiccan Party.

After all, according to the course of history, Grindelwald was defeated in 1945, and it was already 1938.

Knowing defeat, joining the Wiccan Party was no different from joining the Nationalist Army in 1949.

Since he knew who the ultimate winner would be, why wouldn't he follow the winner?

Besides, not to mention the system's blessing, he could become stronger on his own!

There was no need to risk his life to join Grindelwald!

Grindelwald and his followers were now, to put it bluntly, a group of terrorists...

unless he could truly realize his ideals and successfully whitewash them. But in Levid's view, his ideals were impossible to achieve.

"Thank you very much for your favor, but please allow me to decline." Levid rejected Grindelwald's invitation.

"That's a pity..." Grindelwald narrowed his eyes. "But you still have to come with me. I believe that after seeing what we are going to do, you will definitely change your mind."

"No, they are not going anywhere." Dumbledore slowly stepped out of the shadows.
