Roy looked visibly unimpressed. He glanced at his watch, tapping his fingers impatiently against his folded arms.
Nicky grinned, clearly enjoying his confusion. "You idiot! Did you really think Amari was just some ordinary racer?" she scoffed, wrapping an arm proudly around her friend's shoulders. "Just wait till you see what she can do. Let's see how your arrogant little eyes react once Amari starts burning that track!"
She gave Ryan a smug look before adding with a smirk, "Yep, she's the one I brought in. Be careful—you might regret underestimating her."
Ryan crossed his arms and smirked with disdain. "If I lose, I'll accept it like a man. Just don't go crying when I win. What is this—bringing in a woman to try and get under my skin?"
