Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – Target of revenge.

"You fucking bastard…."

(There is no fucking way I would mistake that fucking sword! It's the fucking sword I personally gave Arthur on his birthday!)

"FUCKING ASNWER ME YOU FUCKING MONSTER! WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE MY BROTHER MOTHERFUCKING SWORD!" – shouted the furious adventure.

"…"

(Confusion.) – though the dungeon master.

Why was the person in front of him shouting and was completely furious?

Why?

The dungeon master didn't knew….. And truth to be told, it didn't at the time made him curios enough to find out as he rushed in and swinged his sword at the man, who just raised his long sword and blocked the attack completely, surprising the puppet.

"[SWORD ART: STRIKE]!" – the man swinged his long sword in fury, pushing back the puppet sword alongside its wielder all together, surprising while also noticing that it had sustained some damage from the man counter.

"…"

(Danger.) – though the dungeon master as it recognized that the invader in front of him as "problematic".

"ANSWER ME YOU CREATURE!" – shouted the man as he rushed towards the puppet.

"WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT SWORD?!"

The man swinged his great sword at the puppet, causing the puppet the puppet to dodge the sword by stepping backwards, before then swinging down its own sword from above to, forcing the man to once again block the sword with his own weapon.

However, while the man was focusing on the sword, the puppet launched its free claw at the swordman, but he noticed it coming and stepped back, dodging the claws while also freeing himself from the puppet sword.

The man then rushed forward and swinged his sword, managing to land an hit on the puppet who tried to dodge.

"!"

(Danger. Blade, damage too much.) – though dungeon master.

(Avoid direct hit.)

"[Sword Art: Slash]!" – the man rushed at the puppet and swinged his sword at it, forcing the puppet to panic as it tried to step back again while also raising up its guard with its arms.

The sword landed an direct hit, digging into the wooden body of the creature, before then pushing back the entire giant puppet and even making it collapse from the impact.

*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*

(W-what is going on…. Why my sword feels so heavy?)

(…The strike wasn't good either, I screwed it up…..Shit….)

(Poison…. No wait…. God dammit.)

(Exhaustion…) – though the man as he realized that his non stop match search had an extremely obvious side effect…. But only now he had noticed the problem.

However, even after noticing the problem, the man didn't cared.

He made up his mind to slay the creature in front of him and get to the bottom of this.

"…"

(Right arm… Critical condition…. Verge of breaking.)

(Hit? No. Break. No defense. Only attack.) – though the puppet as it handed over its sword to the other arm.

"…"

Puppet monster stared at the young man who was breathing heavily.

(First attack, failed. Second attack, failed.)

(His attack, work. His second attack, work.)

(My attack fail, his work?)

(Arm damage, next attack, may destroy.)

(….)

(Copy. Rabbits.)

"…"

(Something is off. Its not attacking? Does this thing has some intelligent? But its not bleeding nor it has flesh…. Its not an living being.) – though the young man who was trying to regain his breath.

(Wood… Its body is made out of wood.)

(However, it is somewhat tougher and it has some strength, but not enough… Even at my current state I can destroy it with ease….. Claws and my brother sword. Those are the only thing I need to worry about.)

(And-)

"!"

The swordman heard something right behind him, something walking behind him, with alarmed him.

The man looked around in panic and saw the wooden mannequin right behind him, alarming him as he realized that the creature right behind him was an enemy, causing the swordman to swing around his sword in panic and cut down the puppet.

However, this was an two way attack from two different directions.

"!"

Puppet sword was already coming his way.

The swordman tried raising his own blade to guard against the blade, but he didn't managed in time as the sword clashed with the swordman own sword, before then pushing forward and stabbing the young man in his side, securing an solid hit.

"!"

"DON'T SCREW WITH ME!" – shouted the furious swordman as he remembers the face of his brother, giving the man strength as well as causing an adrenaline rush.

The man pushed away the puppet sword, removing the sword that was stuck in him.

However, once again the claw attack using other hand, but the man noticed it and swinged around his sword so fast that the puppet couldn't react…. And then the next moment, puppet right arm was rolling on the ground.

But the puppet didn't stopped as it tried attacking again with the sword.

"[SWORD ART: HEAVY]!" – the man swinged his long sword, confronting the puppet sword and causing the two blades to clash.

But the clash did not lasted long at all as the puppet sword was send flying across the entire room, disarming the puppet instantly.

However, even after getting disarmed, the puppet didn't stopped as it thrusted forward its claws towards the man, aiming for his neck.

But the man adrenaline rush wasn't over yet as he swinged sword at the claw and collided with it, causing the creature arm to get destroyed, with it losing all of its claws.

"!?"

"FEAR"

The dungeon master felt fear as it backed away from the swordman.

(Hands! Gone!)

(Claws! Gone!)

(Weapon! Gone!)

The monster was panicking and was completely shocked.

It was an pure fear and confusion.

(I will die!) – though the puppet as it walked away even more from the men.

Creature tried thinking, but this was the answer it had gotten.

It didn't wanted to die.

But the man was not about to let it go.

It will kill the creature and aim to find the truth behind his brother disappearance.

"YOU MOTHEFCUKER!"

The man mustered last of his strength and bloodthirsty charge towards puppet, ready to slash down the creature in front of him, while terrifying the puppet that realizing something.

(Ah…. I'm dead.)

However, in the very next moment, the man fallen on the ground.

"???"

The dungeon master stared confused at the man who was breathing drastically.

It didn't understood what was going on at all.

Why did the enemy suddenly fallen all on its own and wouldn't do anything.

Was he dead?

No.

He was breathing.

Then did he bleed to death?

No. There is not enough blood and the wound the dungeon master had inflicted

Then what had happened?

The answer was simple.

The man screwed up.

Battle Art.

This isn't magic, but instead an physical manifestation of the physical technics given form.

And unlike magic, the techniques usually don't burn mana at all, instead they use the user stamina or creates burden on the user body.

The man haven't slept, haven't taken proper rest and he had not eaten enough.

Adrenaline rush may give you an sudden burst of the energy….. But what do you think would happened if you relay on it with your current state and use the Battle Arts multiple times?

The answer is simple.

Burn out.

The man had completely lost all of its stamina and more, resulting in the man body straight up shutting down.

But the man did not gave up. He was still conscious, he was still bloodthirsty, terrifying the dungeon master who didn't knew what to do.

It only means of fighting had been completely robbed.

Can it kill him?

Desperation made the creature think.

Think about anything that it could do?

Create monsters?

No. They need time to be born.

Grabb the sword?

No, it doesn't have hands.

It tried to think and think, but it couldn't come up with the proper answer.

In desperation it though about its previous foes, the ones that that it had slain.

It though that maybe it could use something like inspiration or mimic the enemy, just how it tried to mimic the swordman.

Archer?

No.

Don't know how to use the bow and can't even use it even if it wanted to.

Magic?

No.

It doesn't know any offensive spells yet.

Swordman?

No.

He wielded only the sword and shield, but again, no arms.

Rabbits?

Charge at the enemy with their heads?

No.

It wouldn't.... Or would it?

It though of something.

The rabbits didn't just attacked with their heads.

They attacked with their horns.

Their tips were sharp.

Sharp like puppet claws.

Sharp like the puppet sword.

Sharp like the puppet destroyed wooden arm.

"…"

Puppet approached the man who tried standing while breathing heavily, only to collapse as soon as he tried to get up.

The swordman stared at the puppet as it stood right in front of him, before then it put its feet on the man head, trying to hold in the place as the swordman struggle…. Before moments later the puppet thrusted forward it destroyed arm, stabbing the man right in the neck, causing the man to scream.

It worked, but not nearly enough.

It bashed, it stabbed, it bashed, it stabbed.

Over and over, attacking the man neck over and over, causing the blood to spill everywhere.

The man tried struggling, even somehow mustering enough strength somewhat to grab the doll leg that was holding it head.

But that only made the doll panic and start attacking way faster the man neck over and over, not ever carrying how much its own destroyed arm was getting more and more damaged.

The man continue to clench to the puppet leg…. But after a while the grip had loosen and the arm came off moments later…. But it didn't stopped. The puppet did not stopped attacking over and over, destroying its arm more and more while the blood from the man neck splattered everywhere with each strike over and over again.

And after a while, it had finally stopped.

The puppet covered completely in the blood of the swordman stared at his body that no longer showing any sights of life.

The swordman was dead.
