Coding and equipment.
These two things were the two things needed for the dungeon to NOW only operate normally.
Giving the dungeon enough to handle itself without relying on the dungeon master to do everything.
This managed to relive some of the dungeon master worries… But only for the moment.
The puppet knew that it needed to upgrade the dungeon… And so, it focused on expanding the dungeon, growing it in size.
There are many good reason why the dungeon size benefits the dungeon, but mostly importantly: more space for monsters and more miasma production.
It would also wear down more stronger opponents from going deeper into the dungeon while also giving time for the dungeon master to prepare itself.
However, it wasn't enough.
Dungeon master needed to think of a way of keeping improving the dungeon.
And also, itself.
Dungeon master is the last line of the defense for the core safety.
But the question is, how will it defend the dungeon?
The swordman easily destroyed and overpowered the puppet all on its own.
The only reason why the dungeon master was because of the "luck" …. And it was already aware that this "luck" may never happened in the future.
So, it needed to get stronger.
However, how?
Puppet didn't had an ability to "evolve" like monsters such as horned rabbits, slimes or goblins, its body was mechanical.
However, the dungeon master could posses "class", an "chosen growth given form".
With its basic informations it understood how to get one and what one do.
But the problem was: what kind of class should it aim for?
An class that focuses on weapons?
An class that focuses on magic?
Or maybe an class that focuses on crafting?
This was an dilemma.
Dungeon master was able to wield weapons and it is interested in all of them, but the thing is it don't know if it should focus on only 1 weapon.
As for the magic, it didn't had enough man reserves to do anything big, the only thing it could do was coding and that it.
As for crafting….. This actually caused the dungeon master to get interested.
It understood what crafting was and it already though of few ideas.
"Create strong weapon?"
This was an good option, stronger weapon would mean more power…. However, the dungeon master understood something.
Sometimes stronger weapons require stronger user.
The dungeon master tried lifting the swordman long sword and realized how much heavier it was compare to the sword it originally had… But, the swordman was able to swing this much heavier and stronger weapon way faster that puppet own sword and was even able to put enough power behind the strike to overpower the puppet.
"Stronger weapon won't solve the problem if I don't become stronger."
The puppet though.
But how would it become stronger with this body that cannot evolve?
Will classes do and skills just do?
Maybe the best option instead would be researching and getting new monsters types in order to booster dungeon survival rate?
Creating more monsters to-
"?!"
….
(Create?)
The dungeon can create "stuff", such as materials or weapons.
And when it cannot create something at first, dungeon master will need to provide materials or create it, such as weapon designs.
However,…. Dungeon master though of…. Different idea.
Why does an different created things are different? Like the wooden mannequin and human mannequin? WHY ARE THEY DIFFERENT?
And WHY Are they different from the dungeon master itself?
….
It was curios.
Dungeon master knew that different puppets had different bodies, with require them to have different coding, but it didn't looked TOO deep at the difference in right way, with caused the puppet to ignore the obvious part.
But now?
Now it was CURIOS.
It wanted answers. It wanted to understand WHY there was an difference.
It started looking deeper into the difference between the two different puppet bodies.
It started noticing, spotting and understanding the differences one by one as the time went by.
It researched more and more, obtaining more and more understanding about the situation.
Parts.
Each parts were different.
They were different made and the power sources of the cores were differences.
It researched and understood that the difference between the puppets were their body parts.
…
And it also understood something, that the creature wasn't an flesh and blood.
Its limbs and joints weren't bound by flesh and bones.
It understood that that they could be removed or detached by the enemy….. But what if it detaches its own parts on its own?
But not to destroy, but instead to replace?
Replace its own arms with better arms?
…
But it needed to know.
It needed to understand more and more about the golem crafting.
The dungeon master KNEW how to properly do the coding now, but it had never made an golem from the scratch with its own hands.
It never made any puppet parts either.
It needed to learn how and why works, while also exploring different possibilities…. So, the first thing it needed to do was create the golem from the scratch.
As for the materials? It did needed some DP in order to get an mana crystal that would act like the monster core.
But what about the other materials?
…
"!"
Dirt.
The dirt in the dungeon could be used to make the golem body AND the dungeon needed to expand anyway, so, it started digging, gathering the dirt, creating its own golem from the scratch….
It took quiet amount of time…. But it did it.
The dungeon master felt first time being "proud" of itself like an child.
An simple small golem made out of dirt, but the very first
"!?"
Materials differences.
The dungeon master quickly understood that simple fact when it compare its dirt golem to the wood.
Differences needs to be make, ranging from the coding and false nerve system, to the body itself.
It look many differenced attempts that pretty much lasted few hours.
Bodies fall apart left and right, with also made the dungeon master make different coding.
And while all of that was happening, the dungeon was attacked few times by the grey wolves, but the attacks weren't too scary or powerful, with allowed the puppets to somewhat handle the situation on their own without needing to bother the dungeon master.
…
The time went by and the golem was made.
It was an dirt golem, modeled after basic humanoid type, similar to the puppets, but its body was much bulkier in order for the monster body to not easily collapse.
Even though it was the golem made out of dirt, it was able to do the extremely basic commands without failing apart.
The dungeon master had completed its experiment!
It was now able to create golems all on its own.
And good start.
AND nobody had yet discovered the dungeon, meaning that dungeon had still possible time to continue its research.
However, when the golem was finished, the dungeon master "felt something".
It felt that it could "target" the dirt golem.
…
(Strange.)
It didn't understood "target" meant.
It didn't felt like the golem was an enemy or anything, so why it had an "target" option?
The dungeon master didn't understood…. So, it used its informations and dungeon core to find out what was going on.
"…"
(What?)
Dungeon master understood what the "target" was.
It was able to "target" and copy the monster data.
Allowing the dungeon master to produce the dirt golems.
An revelation!
An new discovery!
…
An new source of power that could be possible be the guardians of the dungeon.
An discovery that brough the dungeon master joy!
…
And it opened the dungeon master eyes to many different new possibilities.
An possibilities that it couldn't stop thinking about.
NOW it was properly motived.
An motivation that made the dungeon master take actions immediately and see what sort of creatures it could make.
[Sometime later.]
*Sigh*
"Dude…. Can I be honest with you?" – asked the young man with the scar.
"…. Let me guess…. You are thinking he is dead?" – asked the young man with brown hair as he and his friend wondered through the forest.
"Yea, we checked the part of the forest where we originally did before yesterday…. And we didn't found an single clue." – said the young man with the scar.
"That leaves this part of the forest, an part of the forest that is closed off for the newbies since the monsters here aren't something somebody who just stared as adventure can handle."
"I don't doubt Adam strength, he could probably deal with anything in there…. But you remember in what state he was before he left, right?"
"…"
"You are right." – said the young man with brown hair as he walked though the bushes alongside his friend, entering somewhat empty small field with small hill.
"It wouldn't be surprising if he had died if he were to encounter some bandit or maybe an pack of the...?"
"…"
"?"
"Hey. What wrong? Why you stopped?" – asked the young man with the scar as he noticed his friend stopping and looking toward the hill.
"?"
"Wait, an cave?" – said the man with scar.
"Yea." – said the man with brown hair as he approached the cave and looked inside of it.
"…"
"Hey, dude, comm- "
"{Shine and fly: [Light Bolt]}." – the man with brown hair fired an magic light projectile that flew inside the cave, flying long distance before then disappearing.
"…"
"Shh." – the brown haired man hushed the man before he was about to speak.
"…"
"Do you hear anything?"
"Huh? No?" – asked confused man with scar.
"Same…. Something is wrong with this cave." – said the man with brown hair as he got on his knees and started sniffing around on the ground, on the walls and then leaving for the moment and looking around outside.
"This cave is too deep and I'm not smelling any weird odor outside or inside like piss for example. There are some claw marks, but they don't appear to be new, if anything they are old,.… We are also not hearing anything from there nor there was any sort of reaction when I fired light bolt there… Something is off. We should had encountered something by now."
"…"
"Your guts?" – asked the man with scar.
"Yea, but also my tracking tricks." – said the man with brown hair.
"Some knowledge I picked up from my grandfather before he retired as hunter."
"…"
"I know we should be looking for Adam right now, but its better if we check this thing out."
"Something smells fishy."
