Chapter 14 - Dark Cave 3 — A Serpents Plea

Therefore it also stared back with its wide serpentine eyes.

It was then that she saw it, when the two orbs of golden light shone in the Dark-vail...

She actually couldn't see anything beyond those two orbs in the eerie! palpable darkness.

*Hiss* *Hiss*

She hissed in both fear and trepidation.

Furthermore being a 4 hours old her mind or mental fortitude wasn't that strong either.

"Wh-Who is it?" She asked with a quivering voice.

"..." Black.

However the golden eyes didn't answer.

It just stared at her like it could see through her very being.

Causing her soul to be filled with terror and despair. The feeling was horrible. She was afraid.

"Pl-Please don't kill me?" With her quivering! feeble voice she pleaded. Since neither she had any choice nor did she knew what to do.

Moreover she had enough instincts to tell that she couldn't fight this being.

Therefore she did the only thing that could maybe perhaps save her life — She pleaded for mercy.

Furthermore as a child she was really afraid and terrified of death. she didn't want to die.

Not after what she went through just after her birth and finally found this small hidden cave to hide in. Hence she pleaded thinking maybe this strange being would have mercy on her and let her go... that... that he wouldn't kill her.

Besides her pleading worked as she saw the two orbs of golden light suddenly started getting bigger. No they weren't getting bigger instead they were moving — moving towards her! descending towards her...

Then she saw the creature who those bright golden eyes belonged too.

The creature was tall with white skin. His eyes were a captivating golden hue. white hair cascading down to his shoulders like ethereal threads, shimmering softly in the eerie and abyssal darkness.

It spoke, "Who are you and how did you get in here?" Its voice was heavy.

Thus, in her fear she didn't know how to answer or maybe she couldn't.

She was too afraid to even blink her eyes.

Hence the little serpent just stared at the strange creature as her Scarlett eyes shone in the abyssal dark-vail.

The two pair of Golden and Scarlett orbs just stared at each other.

One in scrutiny and the other in attention.

The long darkness stilled.

The silent again returned as the Dark-vail enshrouded the Dark Cave.

...

Meanwhile..

Few minutes earlier..

After turning around..

Black saw how the little serpent was trembling. Looking around — Afraid! Even in Fear.

He didn't know how to react or do something that would make the little serpent less afraid.

He didn't even know why it was so afraid, when Black hadn't even done anything to the little serpent either.

A little perplexed. Black just stared at the little serpent in mild curiosity and a little caution, as Double had told him so.

Apparently Double had told him that Serpents in general are creature's of cunning, venomous even ancient wisdom.

They are the creature's representing the evil power of the Abyss and the chaos from the underworld but also represents as a symbol of fertility and rebirth.

It was something about — Serpents in their essence, embody duality. They are both feared and revered, representing both danger and wisdom, destruction and creation, cunning and grace. While their ability to shed their skin symbolizes transformation or the cyclical nature of life and death.

But all this doesn't matter. The entities Double was talking about were all unfathomabley Powerful existences that Double only knew from his limited unsealed Progenitor memories...

Furthermore he only knew about what these existences represented and nothing more.

After hearing all this useless information Black only had one thought, 'what the hell.' like literally, just what was he trying to say.

"You're being so absurd right now!" Black muttered in exasperation. Putting all the unwanted information to the back of his mind.

"The little serpent isn't even 1 billionth of the primordial being you are talking about. It doesn't make sense. Just in what world did you get the absurd idea of comparing a little serpent with primordial entities. If sounded more like the mumbling of a mindless fool!." Black uttered in his mind as he sighed.

Well it's understandable to be cautious of every little thing as Black is just an infant.

Even so just what kind of sense of humor does one need to have to compare a 4 hours old little serpent who is clearly trembling in fear and terror to billions of years of old primordial entities.

That's just absurd. Like there is limit to everything right.

That sounded... or was just... out right being paranoid, insecure, fearful.. and none of which was Black.

Maybe now, Black was regretting the fact that he had previously depended on such a fool. Inwardly Black sighed again.

However he snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the little serpent pleading for mercy.

Looks like he had unintentionally ignored her earlier question which had caused her to panic and fear for her life.

Thus pleading for mercy, from him.

Seeing her like this and felling guilty for causing her distress... he wanted to somehow tell her that she wasn't in any danger. That he won't do anything to her. That he won't harm her or had any intention to harm her to began with.

Even so Black didn't know where to began or how to do that! To tell her!.

Therefore, He just stared at her two Scarlett orbs and somehow he could tell that she was on the verge of crying.

Llooked like she wasn't as mentally mature as Black was on birth for obvious reasons of course.

One of them being, Black was a Progenitor and she was just a normal little serpent.

Seeing her on the verge of crying.

Black kind of panicked! Quickly moved and knelt down in front of her with a distance of atleast 1 meter between them and in his panic asked her the wrong question.

"who are you and how did you get in here?"

However unexpectedly in his panic his voice came a little louder then he intended which startled the little serpent.

'Ahh! why am I so stupid...' Black thaught. While he regretted for being such a fool, he just hoped she would answer him and wouldn't become even more afraid or terrified.

He just observed her quietly from a meter away. Awaiting her response as his golden eyes shone in the abyssal dark-vail.

The two pair of Golden and Scarlett orbs just stared at each other.

One in observation and The other in attention.

As the long darkness stilled.

The silent again returned as the Dark-vail enshrouded the Dark Cave.

As though devouring anything and everything within.
