Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 15: THE SEVEN COUNCIL MEMBERS

Back in Breaton's apartment, Soft moans echoed in the dimly lit room, blending with the rhythm of their shared breaths.

"Oh my God! Breaton, yes... yes, it feels so good! Don't stop, I'm so close, I can feel it!" Olissa exclaimed, her arms wrapping around his head, pulling him closer.

Breaton, with a frown etched on his face, shrugged her off. "WTF! Why are you talking like that? I'm just drinking some blood," he replied, wiping the crimson liquid that dripped from his chin, a remnant of their intense night.

Olissa giggled, her playful demeanor lighting up the room. "I'm just teasing you! Also, I'm ready for another round," she said seductively, a mischievous smile dancing on her lips.

Breaton couldn't help but smile back, though he was taken aback by her enthusiasm. "What time is it?" he asked, curiosity piqued.

"It's about 11:30 PM. What's wrong? Are you not able to go another round with me?" Olissa teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Breaton frowned slightly, contemplating the hours they had already spent together. "By the gods, Buveur was right; she is nuts. We've already gone for 25 rounds, and she still wants more!" he thought to himself. "No, it's not that. I have a flight tomorrow afternoon. I'm traveling to the Caribbean islands for my vacation," he replied, trying to redirect the conversation.

"Oh, I see! That's cool! The Caribbean islands are awesome, and the food is delicious. Have you ever been to any of them before?" Olissa inquired, genuinely interested.

Breaton's pride swelled as he answered, "Well, actually, I'm from the Caribbean. My father lives in St. Martin, and my mother is from Celestian. I am what you would call a mulatto."

Olissa's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, I see! That would explain where your large instrument came from! Anyway, I am ready for another round," she said, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of red.

Breaton smirked, a wicked glint in his eyes as he picked her up, placing her face down on the bed. "Now then, arch your back for me," he whispered in her ear, his breath hot against her skin.

Olissa complied, her heart racing as her face flushed with anticipation. "B…bre-Breaton, what are you doing?" she asked, a mix of excitement and uncertainty lacing her voice.

"Don't worry about what's going on up here, all you need to do is keep your back arched," Breaton instructed, his voice low and commanding as he thrust deep inside, her, moans permeated the room as she gripped the bed sheets.

Meanwhile Back in the league of Enders headquarters. seven military-grade helicopters we're landing on the roof. Inside the helicopters were the council members for the League of Enders, each one accompanied by their own security detail of ten Shadow Elites. They were there to speak with Gus. As the helicopters landed on the rooftop of the League's headquarters, Gus stood waiting, his arms crossed and a stern expression on his face. The council members stepped out of the helicopters, their Shadow Elites fanning out around them. Their names were Arcadian, the vampire and head of the council, then there was his sister, Arcadia, the quarter-blood vampire and second-in-command, Rige the werewolf, Janet the demon and her husband Simon, the half-demon half-wolf, and Jasmine and Stephanie, the witches.

Gus nodded curtly at the council members as they approached.

"What brings you here?" he asked, his voice firm.

Council leader Arcadian stepped forward.

"Gus, we need to discuss the recent... incident with Jennifer. Let's talk in the meeting hall."

" Follow me this way" Gus's said expression darkened abit He as lead them to the meeting her hall.

As they entered the meeting hall, a large, dimly lit room with a long, polished table at its center, Gus took a seat at the head of the table. The council members followed, each one taking their designated seat.

Arcadian cleared his throat, his eyes fixed on Gus. "Let's get straight to the point, Gus. We've received your report of Jennifer and quite frankly I are displeased at these results, not only did Alexandria escape but your second in command was injured. Why did you allow Jennifer to face Alexandria alone? This is a huge mistake on your part Gus and someone needs to answer For it. He said with a frown on his face.

"I understand, what you all are saying. But who are you to come in here and criticize what happens you guys just stand behind your bodyguards and do nothing but give orders. Gus Spat in anger.

"Now you See! this is what I mean humans cannot be trusted we need to take a vote and put someone else in charge. Arcadia said rolling her eyes.

Rige just started laughing. This is coming from someone who is still partially human, let's not forget you are the bastard daughter of you dhampir and a pure blood vampire. He said sarcastically

How Dear spoke to my sister in such a manner. You will do well to watch your tongue mut. Said Arcadian his eyes flashing crimson as he glared at Rige.

Rige's laughter died down, but a smirk still lingered on his face. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots, Arcadian. You think a little glare from you is going to intimidate me?" He leaned back in his chair, his eyes never leaving Arcadian's face.

Arcadia placed a hand on Arcadian's arm, her voice calm and soothing. "Brother, let's not resort to threats. We need to focus on finding a solution to our problem."

Gus leaned forward, his eyes locked on Arcadian. "The problem being Jennifer? Or the problem being my leadership?"

Janet spoke up, her voice measured. "Let's not get sidetracked. We need to discuss the implications of Jennifer's connection to the coven of lock-loopers and what it means for our organization."

Simon nodded in agreement. "Yes, and we need to consider all options, including the possibility of replacing Gus as leader if that's what the majority decides."

Jasmine and Stephanie exchanged a glance, their faces expressionless. It was clear that they were reserving their judgment, waiting to see how the situation would unfold.

The tension in the room was palpable, and it was clear that the council was divided. The question was, which way would the vote go?

"Well, I for one believe my sister Arcadia would be perfect to take over as leader," Arcadian said with a smile.

"Well, it's a pity that you cannot make a decision without me or Jennifer," Gus said, mashing his teeth.

Rige turned to face Gus. "By the way, how is my daughter doing?" he asked with a smile.

"Joss is fine, I believe she would be a lot better if she knew who her father is," Gus spat.

"Now, that's not fair. You know why I couldn't do it at the time," Rige said with a sigh.

"Don't give me that bullshit excuse. I understand why you didn't say anything back then, but there's nothing stopping you now. You're a fu*king absenty father," Gus said, his expression darkening.

"Oh, come on, old friend. You're just trying to gaslight me into responding," Rige said with a smile.

"Enough of this bullshit! Now is not the time for personal matters. We need to vote on whether Gus remains as the leader of the League of Enders or if he should be replaced," Arcadian shouted. "Normally, we would have to wait until Jennifer is better to vote, but desperate times call for desperate measures."

The room fell silent, the tension palpable as the council members awaited the vote. Gus's eyes locked onto Arcadian, his expression unreadable.

Janet spoke up, her voice measured. "Let's get this over with. Those in favor of Gus remaining as leader, please raise your right hand. Those in favor of replacing Gus, please raise your left hand."

Rige raised his right hand, a surprising look on his face. "I'm voting for Gus to stay," he said. Simon also raised his right hand, a nod on his face. Jasmine raised her right hand as well, a small smile on her face.

Arcadia raised her left hand, her eyes fixed on Gus. "I'm voting for a change," she said. Janet raised her left hand as well. Arcadian raised his left hand after a moment, "I'm voting for a change," he said.

The last person to vote was Stephanie. She paused for a moment, then raised her left hand. "I'm voting for a change," she said, her voice firm.

The results of the vote were announced, and the room held its breath. "It's official," Arcadian said. "The vote is 3 for Gus and 4 against him. Gus, you are no longer the leader of the League of Enders."

The room erupted into chaos as the council members began to discuss the implications of the vote. Gus's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. What would happen next? Would he be given a chance to redeem himself, or would he be cast aside forever?
