Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17:GET YOUR LAZY ASSES BACK TO WORK

Before Rige could reach Arcadia, the sound of gunshots could be heard. Three bullets struck Arcadia's body: one in her abdomen, one in her leg, and the other in her shoulder. She stumbled back, dropping Joss. In that moment, two figures rushed forward and subdued her. It was Janet and Simon. Ben, Jasmine, and Stephanie helped Gus subdue Arcadian.

As Rige reached Joss's side, he saw her undergoing a transformation. Her eyes turned crimson, and her skin paled. "How is this possible? You should be dying. You have werewolf blood in you, and you were bitten by a vampire," Rige said in confusion.

"That's because her werewolf blood is dormant and has not been awakened yet," Jennifer said with a worried look on her face.

Rige's eyes widened in alarm. "What does that mean for Joss? Will she become a vampire?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

Jennifer's expression was grim. "It's possible. We need to get her to a safe place and figure out how to reverse the effects of the vampire's bite."

Rige scooped up Joss in his arms, cradling her close. "Let's get her out of here. We'll figure out what to do next," he said, his eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger.

As they made their way out of the meeting hall, Arcadia's snarls and struggles could be heard in the background. "We'll deal with her later," Rige growled, his focus on Joss's well-being.

Before they could move, Joss stood up and walked over to where Arcadia was being held. Her eyes glowed red as she spoke in a slow, menacing tone. "Hand her over to me," Joss said with a sinister smile on her face.

Janet and Simon exchanged a confused glance before shrugging their shoulders. They handed Arcadia over to Joss.

Joss placed her hand around Arcadia's throat and lifted her off the ground. Before sinking her newly acquired vampire fangs into Arcadia's neck, a blood-curdling scream echoed through the room.

Arcadia's eyes widened in terror as Joss's fangs pierced her skin. The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the unfolding scene.

Rige's face twisted in shock and concern. "Joss, stop! What are you doing?" he shouted, rushing towards her.

But Joss didn't respond. She was too far gone, consumed by her newfound vampire instincts. The group watched in horror as Joss fed on Arcadia's blood, her transformation into a vampire complete.

"Joss, My dear daughter, please stop!" Jennifer cried.

When Joss heard her mother's voice, she dropped Arcadia to the ground and turned to face her. "Mom, it's okay, I was only taking back the blood she drank from me. You Don't worry, Mom, I am still in control of myself," Joss said, her voice laced with a mix of reassurance and a hint of the newfound darkness within her.

Jennifer's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed at her daughter, her expression a mix of relief and concern. "What are you planning to do with her?" she asked, pointing a finger at Arcadia.

"Oh, right, I almost forgot about her," Joss said with a frown. Then she turned to face Gus. "Mr. Gus, will it be okay if I take Lady Arcadia as my personal prisoner?" Joss asked with a small smile.

Gus just nodded. "Sure thing, kid. She's all yours." He then turned to face everyone who was assembled in the hall. "Now listen up, all! I, Gus Benton, am the only leader for the League of Enders, and the only way I will give it up is if I die or if someone is strong enough to take it from me. Do I make myself clear?" He shouted, his voice echoing across the hall.

The thousand members who were in the meeting hall all cheered and agreed with Gus. They all shouted in unison, "Sir, yes, sir!"

"That's what I like to hear," Gus said with a smile. "Now, all of you, stop loitering and get your lazy asses back to work!" The hall erupted into a flurry of activity as the members scrambled to comply with Gus's orders.

As Joss was leaving the meeting Hall she began to drag Arcadia behind her with a small smile on her face.

Arcadia's face was filled with fear as she asked Joss. What are you planning to do with me.

Joss lifted Arcadia up by the throat. Well

You were the one who, made me in to a vampire. so now I will make you in to my play thing,

And the first thing I want from you is your blood. Among other things. I also believe that vampire Vussy will hit different . She said giving Arcadia's body a once over with a lustful gaze in her eyes.

Arcadia shuttered subconsciously.

What are you talking about aren't you a woman like me? Shouldn't you be in to men She asked in confusion and fear.

"I am a woman, and I do like men but I am into you, now that we gotten that out of the way the first place we are heading is to my room. Joss said with a smile on her face

"Okay now I have heard enough, is anyone planning to stop her?" Rige asked pointing a finger at Joss.

Jennifer just Chuckled."let her go Rige, she is 23 year's old and just looking to have some fun so let her go for now. I will have to introduce the two of you to each other later." She said with a smile.

Rige just nodded and approval then turn to face Gus and the others.

"Now that everything has been settled, there's only one problem left to deal with—and that is you, Arcadian," Gus said with a frown.

"First thing's first, I would like to apologize on behalf of my sister." Arcadian said with a shameful expression on his face.

Gus started laughing with a cold and mirthless laugh. "An apology? You think an apology will suffice after what your sister has done? he shook his head, his expression turning serious. "Your sister's fate is sealed, Arcadian. And it's not just any fate. She's in Joss's hands now—didn't Joss say she's her plaything now? And let's not forget, your sister is the one who bit her and turned her into a vampire." "Whatever happens to my sister beyond this is on her. She shall reap what she sow."

"Let's talk about me," Arcadian said with a frown.

"Despite everything that has happened, I don't want to kick you out of the League. However, you can't be a council member. You will work under me as my right-hand man. Do you understand?" Gus said with a stern expression."Do you accept?" Gus asked, his voice firm.

Arcadian's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the implications of Gus's offer. He knew he had limited options, but he also knew that working under Gus could give him a chance to regain some power and influence within the League.

"I accept your terms, Gus to work under you, but I won't be treated like a prisoner or a servant."

Gus's expression didn't change, but a hint of approval flickered in his eyes. "I expect nothing but your best, Arcadian. Let's get to work."
