"You know her?" the woman asked, looking at Angelo.
At the same time, Ravić turned to me. "How do you know him?"
All while Angelo kept his red, unnatural eyes fixed on me.
"She was a friend," Angelo said, his words sending a sharp pang through my chest.
I teared my eyes away from Angelo, keeping my eyes at my shoes instead, my dark boots right next to Ravić's large, black ones.
"I don't like where this is going," the blond man muttered, earning a glare from everyone but me.
"Shut up, Sebastian," the woman scowled.
Angelo ignored them both, fixating his eyes on me, as if he can't believe I'm actually standing right before him, with Ravić's arm wrapped around my middle no less.
Ravić didn't like it one bit, what with how tight his jaw is clenching.
My hand went up to his arm, squeezing it to remind him not to create trouble.
"Why don't you introduce me to them?" I asked, in an attempt to neutralize the situation.
